In my opinion follow and liked Dimash just for his incredible vocal range and high notes is a totally wrong way because Dimash is not just these things,he's much more,he's everything,and he can do everything he wants and when he wants because he can like no one other on the planet..Dimash is a phenomenal genius and the most versatile singer in existence and in history..I don't care about his vocal range and high notes,are just many of the army that he has in his box,also because the majority of the songs in his repertoire are without large vocal range and extremes high notes,and i follow and listen only Dimash from more of 8 years every day for many hours a day for more important reasons..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

You shouldn't only focus on the songs where he sings big highs or lows. As you may already noticed, Dimash is so much more than just vocals, notes and octaves. He also has songs that are incredibly gentle, tender and very emotional. This is the real Dimash for us Dears. He's a phenomenon. A young man who is working really hard to get where he is now and just wants to make the world a better place.
He has many wonderful songs in Kazakh. Please react to songs in his native language next time. They are really beautiful.
For example Samaltau is about a young Kazakh who was forcibly recruited by Russia in 1916. He was forced to leave his home country and his elderly parents to go to war (WWI) and does not know what awaits him there as a soldier or how his elderly parents are to manage without him. The best version in my opinion is from the Tokyo Jazz Festival. It’s pure emotion.

Normally there are no vocal acrobatics in his native songs and I love them a lot. In every of this songs you can hear the great love and devotion to his country and his people.
Or Qairan Elim means Holy Land and is a prayer and an expression of fear about the fate of Dimash's country and the world in general. The MV is fantastic and he even directed it. The man, Renat Gaissin (a Kazakh composer) on the piano is also a friend of his and he has also written songs for Dimash such as River Of Love, an instrumental in which Dimash plays the dombra, and the song Òmir Òter (Ode to Life). This MV was presented of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence. Also a must see but switch on the subtitles. A masterpiece. Goosebumps!

And an absolutely mind blowing bonus, if you think the Qobyz (the two stringed instrument in Stranger) sounds is so incredibly beautiful and unique then there is a video on UA-cam showing rehearsals for his Almaty concert in September 2022 on Qairan Elim. Olzhas Qurmanbek, who always plays the Qobyz in his songs, wasn‘t there or not yet there. Than Dimash sang the sounds of the Qobyz. It took me a a while to realize that this isn’t an instrument at all, it's Dimash‘s voice. At first I couldn’t believe it, but then I thought, Ok , it’s Dimash😄.

Thank you for your reaction. My 4 year old granddaughter is a Dear. This is her favorite song and she always asks to hear it when we are in the car together. She also loves "Golden", "The Crown", "Pink Dimash song - Battle of Memories" and "The Cape Song - El Amor en ti". There are several versions of "Screaming" from an official music video, Idol Hits, Beijing. The rap is in Kazakh.

Hola. Dimash es un genio de la música, y tiene un talento hasta ahora sin límites. Te puede cantar una balada, una ópera, un blues, jazz, pop....y en cualquiera es increíble. Esta es una canción pop, muy bu6, dónde, en efecto, no nuestra todo su rango y virtuosismo, pero es que él tiene repertorio para todo tipo de público de diferentes edades, y en un concierto, debe tener de todo, porque debes saber que los conciertos de Dimash duran generalmente más de 3 horas, y te imaginas cantando todo ese tiempo canciones al estilo y nivel de SOS? Sería un esfuerzo más que terrible y un daño para su magnífica voz, y no queremos eso tampoco Y comentar que hay otra versión de Screaming aún mejor, en mi opinión, si bien todas son increíbles, pero está una presentación en vivo en Idol Hits, debes verla, y otra también en Beijing, y también el vídeo oficial, bueno, todas parecen canciones diferentes, jaja, pero es que Dimash siempre suele cantar una misma canción pero siempre diferente, síguelo más y te darás cuenta. Up until now, I think you’ve watched either official music videos or songs recorded on special occasions (where he is presenting just one or two songs, rather than a concert of 20+ songs). You can understand it’s not physically possible to perform a whole concert without some less demanding songs! Also, you’ve just watched the version of Screaming from Dimash’s Digital Show, where there was no audience present due to the pandemic - Dimash must have found it quite testing to perform in that way, as he usually feeds off the energy of the crowd in front of him ….

He sang this song during the pandemic at his digital concert in January 2021. He had to cancel his tour and gave this concert for his loved ones/fans. Therefore there was no audience to be seen or heard

Screaming is a must at any of his concerts. He usually sings this song at the end and introduces each member of his band to the audience. There he used to have a drum duel with his percussionist Ilya Pokrovskiy. Unfortunately Ilya can no longer be there. I hope we see him again soon.
Dimash also tries to get down from the stage to the audience when his bodyguards aren’t careful enough😂.

You have to realise that in a three hour concert, Dimash has to have a mixture of styles and difficulty. He can’t sing one vocally challenging and emotionally heartbreaking song after another. The audience would be wrecks. Also, With a huge age range abd people from 60 countries attending, you have to have something for everyone, Dimash sings quite a few pop songs, some of which he composed and he has sone hauntingly beautiful songs with no vocal acrobatics which are beautiful. Try Quaragym-ai where he is in an empty theatre, just a pianist, where the two of them perform as a tribute to their beloved college professor, who died from covid. Or Marigolds, sung in Kiev before the war. Or Amanat from the digital show. Thank you.
The official MV of this song showcased him much as you suggest. (He plays the piano and percussion parts, sings beautiful, spectacular, layered, high register vocals harmonized with each other, and looks great in a great video.) But the purpose of his Digital Dimash videos was fundamentally different (as I outline below). So instead he reminded Dears of the dancing excitement and camaraderie they had felt has he sang at concerts -- rapping, singing with the audience, kneeling down to let Dears sing into his mic.
The Digital Dimash series of videos was his virtual "concert" released during Covid lockdowns in 2021 after Covid had forced him to cancel concerts and touring in the usual sense. The Digital Dimash "concert" was was -- wisely -- targeted at existing Dears who knew his songs already, including this one, and would have seen the official MV. Instead the goal with this DD video was to remind Dears (who were under lock downs worldwide) recall the excitement and camaraderie of his live concerts, and feel connected with each other and with feeling good.
By "wisely" in the previous paragraph I meant two things in particular. First and foremost was bringing good news and spirit to all kind, news and spirit that transcends life and the material world, because that's what really drives Dimash. But secondly, and not insignificantly, he and his family/friends had to confront the consequences of what amounted to the cancellation of the world wide touring he had begun to move toward. Because he's 100% independent (so everything he does is entirely funded by himself, his family, and his friends), the cancellation of his tour dates came at shocking financial cost to himself and all those who were near and dear to him. Indeed it seems to me he's only just begun seriously reviving his world wide touring options this year, and I imagine it'll only really get going, God Willing, around 2026 or so.)
Dimash gets to sing in all genres. Others sing as they can, Dimash sings as he wants. He wrote this song.
Dimash didn't write this song, It was written for him. He did however help to re-arrange it for him to be able to perform it live on stage. In the Music Video where he first sang it, He played the piano , the drums, and sang his own backup, with the help of double tracks....obviously he could not do all of that live.

The is the song he sings at the end of an amazing concert with all the whistles and bells. The audience sings along with this. He goes down into the audience and interacts with the Dears. It would be hard to sing something like Stranger doing this. It’s just fun, he’s exhausted and he can just improvise some of it. The band follows him. This was from his digital concert without an audience. They showed shots from other concerts. Sorry you didn’t like it. This isn’t meant to be a “masterpiece”. It’s just fun and very much a sing along.
I like the end of the music video where he is singing all four parts. The purity of his tone strikes me right through my heart and soul. Fun to hear him rapping in Kazakh in this one! 😊❤

Dimash handles a concert for 3 to 4 hours long , no way he will sing songs with all the range , and why you just wait that?! Just enjoy the songs the wow factor it ok but even his other songs are great and enjoyable so dears can sing along

There are a few versions of this. Look at the video where he is playing a piano amongst the trees, and it has layering in it and it adds a lot to the presentation. Then the first time he had it in concert and showed rap with fire around and talking to the audience at the end was also good.
There are several versions of rhis somg. I think too that youve already grown used to his coice. As he dies phenomenal vocal work here that you actually paused in the midddle of to say that the song was not as phenomenal. Remember too that this is a live concert and he is dancing and rapping. Amazing control.

I completely agree with many of the previous commentors. There is much more to him than his spectacular range, though I agree it is mind blowing. He is an absolute creative genius and does not need or want to use all the Crayolas in the box for every song. The variety of his performances and his moving from genre to genre are amazing. You also need to remember his concerts can be as long as 4 hours. He can't really do that singing "Stranger" and "Olympico" type songs over and over. He needs some high energy ones too and our boy loves to experiment. I think you will really come to see and appreciate that as you go further down the rabbit hole...

No it doesn’t usually showcase his range, but this is a super fun crowd hype song. Of course he needs some songs with lesser vocal acrobatics to keep up his stamina during his 3-4 hour long concerts. 😏 This one is actually usually performed at the end of concerts and is extended for ages while he introduced his entire stage team. Always a good time. 😁
Agreed, this song is for the public to have some fun in the middle of the show and sing along with Dimash. Now, you can go the big songs again: Across endless dimensions, Unforgettable day in Gaku concert, Love of the tired swans at the Kremlin, Daybreak in Basteau, Diva dance, Autumn strong at the Singer competition, battle of memories at Macau concert, good reactions ! I get your coolness toward this particular performance, and I'm sure some will chide you somewhat for it, but (a) you're entitled to your own experience, & (b) you're absolutely correct in that the elements you miss actually aren't there. As someone who's watched a LOT of Dimash reactions and performances for 5 years or so by now, I, too, have my distinct preferences among his work. It may or may not agree with yours, his, hers, theirs, or whomever's, but that is just how life works. Thanks for being honest. I'd much rather hear that you don't like celery than hear someone say every kind of food in the world tastes great.
Now, about this song in particular and those elements you find missing : Dimash is widely known to vary his performances in varying degrees, which is why there is so much discussion at times over which version, which performance, and so on. For instance, there's a particular reason why nearly every recommendation for "Unforgettable Day" specifically mentions the Gakku performance. As it happens, though, I find "Screaming" to be one of the *most* variable of his works : sometimes there are vocal pyrotechnics, sometimes there is rapping, sometimes there are zombies, sometimes he's underwater, sometimes it seems esoteric and intimate, sometimes he's out directly courting the audience at the lip of the stage -- you name it, this song has it, in some version, somewhere, if you can just find it. For this reason, and because you miss the pyrotechnics, I'm linking below the first version of "Screaming" (possibly the original version, although I'm not quite certain of that) I ever saw, which is also my favorite version, because I greatly enjoy the pyrotechnics, too.

🖐🖐A few things about this performance. This song (there is a clip) is the one that has closed Dimash's concerts for some time. He often wanders among the public and keeps this song going while singing with the audience. In this performance, he added a moment of "rap" in the Kazakh language because it had been popular during another performance. This video is included in a “digital concert” broadcast in January 2021 during confinement. There is therefore no audience, but the images of the audience that appear are those of a previous concert. It's a tribute to the Dears. I myself find like you that this song does not allow Dimash to show his particular talent but it has become a calling card at the end of the concert and I appreciate it as such. I was hoping you would watch the performance of Idol Hits, but of course the one of his digital show is also great. But the song Screaming needs in my opinion his audience. 😉He did the rap in his nativ language kazakh. - Dimash sang so many pop songs in the past. It's not always about the low or high notes. It's about the special tone of the voice and the fine technique.

P.S. There is nothing like Dimash singing with Dimash. Besides recording all the vocal backups, he provided both the piano and drum tracks. And the underwater scenes are not CGI. There is a 'making of' video out there that shows how those scenes were done.

I agree with you. I always enjoy his pop music but it seems like when people are introduced to Dimash with the "epic" pieces these often are a little bit of a letdown. However, let me point out that you should go listen for a brief section into which he throws out an unexpected high descant. So there was the nod to his epic abilities! Never miss those when it happens.😅

Unfortunately some Dears will always introduce Dimash with the high octane songs, mostly from the Igor Krutoy era. This unfortunately leaves a lot of reactors disappointed when they finally arrive at his pop songs expecting every song to have those moments.
What you didn't realise is that in this song (which is always the penultimate song of the concert) Dimash still does notes and runs that can't be achieved by your average singer.
A Dimash concert can run to almost 4 hours and apart from a few costume change breaks that's all him. He couldn't maintain his voice over that period of time if they all required the vocal acrobatics. So he'll start a concert with some fast songs to get everyone going, do some bigger numbers, do some Kazakh folk songs, back to pop, more big songs and then end the concert with Screaming and the gentle Let It Be, to wind things down.
The joy of Dimash is not his range, it's his sheer versatility. No other artist on the planet moves through as many genres as he does. It's always fresh and different and never boring.
Unfortunately if all you're interested in is the "money notes" then you'll miss out on some truly beautiful songs like Samaltau, Qairan Elim, If I Never Breathe Again and the truly beautiful Ikanaide.
When other composers write for Dimash they tend to get consumed with writing for his full ability. When Dimash writes for himself, he's much more focused on dynamics, song structure and playing with genres.

This version is from his 2021 Digital Show he recorded live during covid lockdown.
The original official mv is very tame compared to this version. There was no rap part in the official mv (yes, the rap was in Kazakh)When you stopped and said he wasn't showcasing his vocals, he was actually going into his high runs & operatic vocals. Did you not hear that? Anyway, yes, it's another genre of music that he does. His official mv for Be With Me also is a pop song with a Kazakh rap in there, even though the song is in English. That is a great mv with a few surprises in there.

Try listening to many, many more to find out what he can do, he is NOT a singing machine. Not every song/performance has to have high notes.

All his songs show his talent. If you only play the ones where he sings high you don't understand this phenomenal performer at all.
He has said he doesn't want you to obsess about his range, he wants you to listen and enjoy. But if you don't listen to everything you will not know who he is.
