Bahut happy Holi India bro's and a special thanks to the locals that took me along for the celebrations. Because street Holi in Bangalore ain't easy but it's a wild ride. So, is it good to have friends during Holi? Btw this was recorded yesterday on the 8th, for real. Maybe a local Bengalurian can explain better how Holi goes down down here.
Hey Pedro, This was the early celebration, people celebrate a week ahead of Holi. They burn wood one day prior at around 7 PM which is called Holika Dahan, It was on 7th March and the next day early morning the actual Holi celebration starts. Love all your videos. Happy Holi.❤
That's what I heard too, you're right. Though this video was recorded yesterday on the 8th so Bangalore has some interesting ways. Happy Holi Rafique 🙏
Nice information Rafique but I would like to mention that Holika Dahan should be referred as Holika Dahan, not burning of wood as it is not some kind of fun bonfire but an event with religious and historical significance. It goes like this in short. Holika was the name of an asuri (an evil woman) who was the sister of an asur (evil man) king named Hrinyakashyap. Hrinykashyap defied God and wanted everyone to consider him as God though he was an evil man. Prahlad the prince refused to worship Hrinyakashyap, so Hrinyakashyap wanted to get Prahlad killed. Holika had a boon that she cannot be burned by fire if she wore one of her sacred garment, so they planned to kill Prahlad by taking Prahlad into fire along with Holika. But when that happened, with the divine intervention that garment flew and covered Prahlad and instead Holika got burnt to death. Since then Holika Dahan is celebrated as the victory of good over evil. This Holika Dahan happens on the night before the celebrations happens with colours. People circle around the Holika Dahan and chant "Holika mata ki cheh, Prahlad bhakt ki jay" which means "Death to Holika and victory to Prahlad" which is again symbolical of victory of Good over Evil. Next day the celebrations happens with colours to celebrate this victory. Story is long, I have given a short version.
This is too much bro. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. Your sense of humor is on top of everything. And your idea of communicating with locals instead of referring to google for everything is a great idea❤

Rover.. U really enjoy in India 👌🏻👍🏻❤️... Best wishes
Holi is basically a license for extroverts to go wild, get as dirty as possible, get drunk and not have consequences, and also hell for introverts! There’s a saying “Bura na maano holi hai!!” which means “Don’t get offended ,it’s holi!!”
Yeah it reminds me a bit of carnaval in the Netherlands, as in all bets are off
Holi is when the whole India turns into a party lmao
Naah bro I'm an introvert but I enjoy holi its the only day I can act like I don't care and can scream all I want, on that day my personality completely changes.
It just depends on you how you want to see holi and what kind of people you surround yourself with. Do it with friends and family and some neighbors and you will be fine. Don't malign it.
Bro you are so kind man. I love you lot bro. From India 🇮🇳 ♥️. We will meet you once my life. Soooo kind man. Lots of love from India 🇮🇳 😊❤
