There are real and sampled TB-303's in the song. The opening passage is a sampled 303 manipulated on a hardware digital synth. As the song progresses (3) "real" TB-303 lines are added in. At the end of the track, the distorted 303 was tracked through a vintage tube guitar amp, which was mic'd.
Listening to this song again, like I always do every few months but today it made me extra emotional. A time I wont ever get back but damn it was so freakin wicked because of this song, this band, that rave. Thanks again for this tune. So f*&^ing amazing.
brings me back to the mid to late 90s. Used to listen to this type of stuff to keep us pumped and awake on route to the next Phish show when following on tour. some of the best days of my life.
The rave culture of the mid-1990s was more than just music; it was a fleeting utopia, a rebellion against the mundane and the expected, where every weekend felt like a journey into the extraordinary. Beneath the flicker of strobes and the glow of blacklight, a generation found itself suspended in time, hearts beating in sync with the basslines that seemed to echo into infinity. Abandoned warehouses became cathedrals of sound, where the air hummed with the electric promise of connection and liberation. Strangers became family, sharing water bottles, glow sticks, and whispered hopes in the early hours before the sun rose. It was a time of innocence wrapped in defiance, a belief that music could transcend barriers and that the night could hold forever. But like all beautiful things, it couldn’t last. As the millennium crept closer, the once-secret gatherings were co-opted, commodified, and dissected by a world that could never quite understand their magic. The unspoken rituals were replaced with rules; the unity of the underground scattered in the glare of the mainstream spotlight. By the time the clock struck midnight on Y2K, the scene had dimmed, leaving behind only the faint, bittersweet echoes of an era where, for a moment, anything felt possible. Those nights are ghosts now, but to the ones who danced until dawn, they remain vivid-a kaleidoscope of memories too beautiful to ever truly fade.
i have the whole freaking collection of skychurch on vinyl will be posting soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damm i saw them like more than a dozen times! in the desert raves back in the days!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes me as well and I hung out and meet them all back in 1997. Great band destroyed by Moonshines records breach of contract. The had another album ready to go but it will never be release.
those were the days! Im keeping the hardware dream alive here in CO! now everyone is using software crap like FL Studio and cracked VSTi's. Nothing beats hardware.
i missed the skychurch play outside of barstow cuz the cops blocked the dirt road leading to the party...bummer after driving 5 hours...home again. (late 90's...)
I was there! Do you remember the cars got broken into? San Barnardino sports arena. Around 1997. What days those were, driving while on acid trip miracle I'm still alive. I was in the Marines in Tustin, CA. Still remember by friend asking "are you good to drive?" like it was yesterday. Head in speakers and acid trips everywhere heck I barely made it there myself lol
I found out that "Psychobabble" released its songs on MP3 for free on the net around the years 1999-2004. "Inverted Forces" is one of them. I've heard their other songs, but I can't find inverted forces! You can view their website through the Archive's Wayback Machine... but the links won't work!!!
electro muso s know best....dont think so....sounds kinda cold and empty 2 me....maybe if i neck a chemical it might reveal its hidden beauty.....sack that

Oh 90s... thank you for your love.
Man I forgot how good these guys are. Saw them live in like 1999 in Arizona in a live act - blew my mind the music they created on the fly.

That's what got me turned on to them!
Amazing. I saw ESC at so many desert raves. It defined my life.

My first desert rave in 97 had electric skychurch.they started just before dawn. I'll never forget that feeling of elation.
It's like a fine wine. The juice of this track was quality then and will always be.
This takes me back, way back to way back in the day....
beautiful track
Saw them two years in a row in New Orleans at the state palace theatre. Amazing experiences. Parties never gonna be on this level again.
I'm a State Palace Baby too! I saw them a few times there. They always put on a show. What some great times. These young folks have no idea.
Holy shit brings back memories! Saw you guys in Tucson AZ at earth dance in early 2000. Fuck was the best times of my life! Thank you
Wow wow wow... Drove down from Vail to Denver for my first party ever in like 1996... Yhis definitely is a happy reminder of way back when!
ambassadors of LA in 95, they gave me a tour through their eyes. truly kind souls.
Had the original song years ago it was a bit slower. Kick ass mix! Great song thanx for posting!
A must for every night that turns to sunrise as the sky changes colors and light emerges as if from closed eyelids.
