In 2020 Finneas became the youngest person to win producer of the year at the Grammys! I think the industry definitely understands and respects his abilities, even if general audiences are less aware. Also Billie talked about how she does a lot of the editing and comping of her vocals now as well as some production in this album!
Loved your Billie reaction and commentary. Birds is performing very well on all charts, from her latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. The whole album is outstanding. Please check it out for more Billie engineered vocals and Finneas' production, ten songs each very different and creative. Her Lunch video is self-directed and super creative as well. Enjoy!
the music video was all recorded with practical stunts, no green guy it was literally cords and other things pulling her, and she does all herself, there's a behind the scenes if you wanna check it out. The music is basically all the 2 siblings, you can check the credits on all their project is impressive how much they both do. Both write and compose and play instruments Finneas is the main producer but Billie does some production too. She was also did all vocal editing and engineering in this project. There's a video of them breaking down this song on her channel, I recommend checking it out is very interesting.
She looked happy in video because she is in head over heels in love and completely blinded by it….so she sees no red flags….just butterflies that intoxicate her ever so sweetly even if she’s being treated like utter crap
When you see that despite all the technology she uses for her songs in the album version, they usually sound at least as good live, if not even better, I find it really astonishing. and we want to talk about the fact that on this album Billie did 50% of the production herself. So amazing.
In the bts clip, when she crashes through the wall she did hit her head pretty hard. There is crazy and rare for them EDM vibes mid way through her track LUNCH from this album
Finneas has his own house now. Has had it for the past several years. He put a small studio in the house. I believe they made the whole Happier Than Ever album in that studio. And of course the newest album that this song came from (the album 'hit me hard and soft' dropped may 17th 2024 - outstanding album..probably her best yet)
Clicked on this soon as I saw it, love your channel & reactions and been obsessed with this song for a week listening to it over & over!👌❤️ Love from N Wales, UK (ps. Been thoroughly enjoying your Ren journey!)
She did a break down of this song with her brother. She said that to her it’s about a relationship that’s like almost toxic “if you die I will die with you” kinda vibe. She doesn’t go super into detail though cause she likes how people interpret her stuff on their own. A lot of fans think it’s about her brother, since they have such a strong bond. I think it’s about that person who is your partner in crime, it can be a partner, sibling, or best friend. Like that one person who wouldn’t hesitate to hide a body for you if you asked haha
Billie would be a PERFECT rabbit hole for your area of expertise! I believe at the beginning you’re speaking of Bury of Friend or When the Party’s Over. Cool take on a reaction, thank you!
You got the gist of their background details about them just slightly off, but those aside, the point of them being impressive and why still stands… but just to be precise: - they did write songs for both James Bond and Barbie, they won oscars for both - they recorded the initial James Bond submission in three days on the back of their tour bus - they did record and write and produce songs on the road including in hotel rooms and the back seat of a car while driving and all sort of places, like you said, but it wasn’t for the songs you mentioned. - they recorded the first album in his room, not her room - for this album Billie comped her own vocals and has also been producing more - Finneas won producer of the year at the Grammy’s but I agree that they’re both underrated despite all of the acclaim and success Honestly, I could happily watch you break down every single one of her songs because the production is so good and rich and layered and full of audio gems and treats.
Billie did some production, Finneas is teaching her. Total 19 Grammys & 4 Oscars... underrated duo? but I know what u mean. To me, the video shows how love took control of her (there's a 'making of' video). IMO this video wasn't planned; the song blew up so they made a video. She talks about this song as a flop? and leaving it off the album which was released back in May as a full listen, so she had only made only 2 video singles; Lunch and Chihiro, both self-directed 5 months ago. Enjoyed ur reaction, big BiFi fan here! Chihiro is my fav off this album.
And please never worried about getting too technical! I very much enjoy learning about creating music and it lets me understand Billie's music on another level :D
Finneas literally won the Grammy for producer of the year with their first album. He's not underrated at all he's one of the most respected producers in the industry now
Thanks for your reaction video, guys!! I've never seen your videos before. It was interesting to watch/hear sound engineers' reactions.....as I have several others (mostly vocal instructors/pros) react to this song specifically.....but many other of Billie Eilish's songs as well. I think Finneas is an absolute phenomenon.....so much talent. So much self-taught. And both of them are SO young!! He was only 22 when Billie's first album was released. Imagine it. Hopefully you already know.....but he is also a recording artist, with 2 albums under his belt. I'd love to see you guys react to something of his. Break My Heart Again (EP-Blood Harmony/2019) and Only A Lifetime (Optimist/2021) are probably my 2 faves. Check it out.
This whole album is an evolution for Billie and Finneas. Billie has leveled up the vocals and the lyricism and Finneas has outdone himself on the production ( which Billie has been copiloting throughout this album). They said that they had a hard time with this song. They started off pretty simple and then just kept adding more and more “ stuff” and hated it. Went back to the original and it was there all along.
you should check the whole album and some singles they released over the years. nowadays they do things 50/50, they have 9 grammys or more and 2 oscars, no time to die and what was I made for? she does her own vocal engineering and a loooott of the production in general, like chihiro she did pretty much everything. he's [and they are] only underrated to people who either don't know a thing about music or people who don't actually pay attention to what they're doing. cause they've been pretty awarded. there's a new apple show that just came out, DISCLAIMER, he did the soundtrack.
I've heard of her, video is cool. I never listen to her so could'nt name a song. Wanted to give her a try with you guys. As a Chinchilla fan, not impressed. I could sing This particular song just as well. Sounds like a Taylor Swift engineered main stream song. In a word Boring song in its own. Been done 1000x. LOVE you guys though!! ❤ Sue

They are crazy talented
They produced No Time to Die in their tour bus, is shown in the documentary. This means they win their first Oscar

No she said she sang that note..her highest note ever..it’s real ..her real voice..she speaks about it in the background video

Good reaction 🎉 - being production guys I whole heartedly recommend Chihiro.
Been watching reactions for years amd your channel is by far the most interesting one.

And please never worried about getting too technical! I very much enjoy learning about creating music and it lets me understand Billie's music on another level :D
She has a digital edition of her album that includes her isolated vocals. It's amazing just how good she is.
thumbs up for the melin hat my man
The song was a soundtrack for a new animation called Wild Robot the movie is pretty great
Your breakdown of the isolated music is so cool! You guys have to check out Chihiro by Billie also!!! It’s insane 🤯🤩🔥🔥🔥
Finneas literally won the Grammy for producer of the year with their first album. He's not underrated at all he's one of the most respected producers in the industry now
can you react to chihiro pleasee , the production of chihiro is insane i swearrrr
You guys should watch the video Billie and Finneas put out about the making of this song.
Thanks for your reaction video, guys!! I've never seen your videos before. You SHOULD listen to her latest album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, it's insanely amazing!!
next chihiro please!!
Really enjoyed the reaction. How are you able to isolate vocals or parts of the song?!

React to "happier than ever" by Billie Eilish!!!!!
CHIHIROO PLSS
Now it's time to react to Ice Nine Kills new one!! Check out "The Art of Dying".. It's pretty graphic but such a banger!!!
you should check the whole album and some singles they released over the years. nowadays they do things 50/50, they have 9 grammys or more and 2 oscars, no time to die and what was I made for? she does her own vocal engineering and a loooott of the production in general, like chihiro she did pretty much everything. he's [and they are] only underrated to people who either don't know a thing about music or people who don't actually pay attention to what they're doing. cause they've been pretty awarded. there's a new apple show that just came out, DISCLAIMER, he did the soundtrack.

This song is so no my style but I can't stop listening to it.
PLEASE PLEASE REACT TO CHIHIRO
CHIHIRO NEXT
You should check out Dax's Songs
takes on a whole different vibe once you realize the song's about heroin
They are a powerful dynamic duo. Finneas is a great producer but Billie has her hands all over her music as well. Everything they do is done TOGETHER.
I like the song so much but in my opinion I think mv is not portrayed the beautiful of the song well so I prefer just audio hahaha
I've heard of her, video is cool. I never listen to her so could'nt name a song. Wanted to give her a try with you guys. As a Chinchilla fan, not impressed.
