    Just got my vp9(first gun owned) shot about 250 rounds through it(terribly) when and how often am I suppose to clean it? Thanks. This gun is pretty awesome.

      I do mine after every visit also. And then once a year I take it in for a deep cleaning.

      What Caliber and have you shot it as yet.. how's the accuracy, I'm thinking of getting me a 9's in this Brand and Model

      @@shenton18 Shot a friend's VP9 match at the range. I got my own coming! Shooting it is kind of like a cross between a Glock and a Kimber. So just learned it's takedown and cleaning ty S&B.

    Thanks for the great video. I just bought my first handgun, a new FDE VP9 LE and put it through its first 100 rounds. Nice to watch a thorough video on how proper maintenance should be done.

    Is the mat shown in the video, the same sized one on your website? This looks a bit smaller and that's what I'm looking for.

    Total noob question after my first cleaning. With the slide open...I have movement with my barrel. Is that normal? Everything seems cool when the slide is closed.

      Yeah it's normal. Mine does it. The barrel pitches when the gun is fired. So there is movement.

      @@urblotasunkynewulf615 H&K added a rubber gasket on some models to the front of the VP9 barrel to take up this barrel movement.

    Would it be necessary to add a little bit of oil after cleaning or does the CLP do it all??

      Nope. Our CLP will take care of lubricating your firearm for you.

    Reminder to new owners that you should start by unthreading the nut on the end of the barrel if it has a threaded barrel. Additionally remember it’s a left handed thread, right is loose, left is tight. Maybe I’m the only one to overlook that but this is my first pistol with a threaded barrel

      I was able to get mine opened and cleaned without the unthreading that nut, what is the use for unthreading it? New gun owner don't scold me

      @@C3NT124LxT1M3 the hole for the barrel on the front of the slide is smaller than the nut. You can’t take the barrel out of the slide without removing the nut

    Anyone else have an issue with the disassembly lever? Just bought mine and it seems really tight and hard to push down

      I jus got one as well and it seems OK, make sure the mag is out and you should have no issues

      It takes some practice. I had a problem for the first minute or two and then I figured it out
