Just got my vp9(first gun owned) shot about 250 rounds through it(terribly) when and how often am I suppose to clean it? Thanks. This gun is pretty awesome.
@@shenton18 Shot a friend's VP9 match at the range. I got my own coming! Shooting it is kind of like a cross between a Glock and a Kimber. So just learned it's takedown and cleaning ty S&B.
Thanks for the great video. I just bought my first handgun, a new FDE VP9 LE and put it through its first 100 rounds. Nice to watch a thorough video on how proper maintenance should be done.
You have a keen eye Brandon. That's our handgun gun cleaning mat. It isn't available quite yet, but will be ready within a month or so. Keep an eye out on the website.
Total noob question after my first cleaning. With the slide open...I have movement with my barrel. Is that normal? Everything seems cool when the slide is closed.
Reminder to new owners that you should start by unthreading the nut on the end of the barrel if it has a threaded barrel. Additionally remember it’s a left handed thread, right is loose, left is tight. Maybe I’m the only one to overlook that but this is my first pistol with a threaded barrel
@@C3NT124LxT1M3 the hole for the barrel on the front of the slide is smaller than the nut. You can’t take the barrel out of the slide without removing the nut
Great video. If only more gun cleaning videos were made with this quality
Thank you! We'll try to get more up on various firearms.
Appreciate it being so short but still informative!!!
Glad it was helpful!
I like this video. Simple and to the point. Thank you.
We're glad we could help out!

I do mine after every visit also. And then once a year I take it in for a deep cleaning.
Just bought my vp9. Thanks for this video.
Thanks for watching. Great purchase!
What Caliber and have you shot it as yet.. how's the accuracy, I'm thinking of getting me a 9's in this Brand and Model

No Name I had the same issue the first time I shot my vp9

That is a nice looking cleaning kit.
You can find all the cleaning products you see in the video on our site --> www.sageandbraker.com
@@SageBraker$215 for just the mat? I would rather use my nice clean vp9 to blow my own testicles off than pay that
Great video the gun was the star and the man was in the shadows
Glad you liked it Mark!

@@SageBraker what's the name of that roll up mat? I want one for the range bag.
Very helpful video:
Glad it was helpful!
Is the mat shown in the video, the same sized one on your website? This looks a bit smaller and that's what I'm looking for.

Super helpful! Thanks!
Total noob question after my first cleaning. With the slide open...I have movement with my barrel. Is that normal? Everything seems cool when the slide is closed.
Yeah it's normal. Mine does it. The barrel pitches when the gun is fired. So there is movement.
@@urblotasunkynewulf615 H&K added a rubber gasket on some models to the front of the VP9 barrel to take up this barrel movement.
Would it be necessary to add a little bit of oil after cleaning or does the CLP do it all??
Nope. Our CLP will take care of lubricating your firearm for you.
Awesome.
Thank you for the video I own one
Nice!
Thanks!

I was able to get mine opened and cleaned without the unthreading that nut, what is the use for unthreading it? New gun owner don't scold me

CLP in the firing pin, or in that general area?! Not good!
Anyone else have an issue with the disassembly lever? Just bought mine and it seems really tight and hard to push down
I jus got one as well and it seems OK, make sure the mag is out and you should have no issues
It takes some practice. I had a problem for the first minute or two and then I figured it out
Nice. Check us out if you get some time.
C'mon thats a combat pistol.
