Man, the '90s and the early 2000s truly were the golden age of Superhero cartoons.
It was also the golden age for anime, video games and movies. Not saying the 2000's didn't have AMAZING media but I think that hand drawn cartoons, animes were way better and also games were much more creative and had to focus on story telling instead of graphics.

Funny, because the 90s were a terrible time for comic books, especially for Spider Man.
Electro actually did make an appearance in this show, but they completely changed his origin and personality.
No, Shocker was a main villain throughout the series, Electro only showed up in one of the stories where it was revealed that he was the Red Skull's genetically engineered son. He had a German accent too, and The Chameleon also turned out to be his brother.
No problem. Actually now that I think about it he may have just been genetically altered, not genetically engineered. I think this happened in the final season too.

+MarvelandDC379 Day I was born, uncle said Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends were on the TV and I wouldn't stop looking at it before being brought home. He figured I was already into Spidey so he bought a few Spidey comics and waited until I was old enough and gave them to me. Also, Spider-Man TAS aired the day I turned one year old. So obviously I love this show to death. Feels good to be connected to my favorite super hero in some way.

Watching the show again over the last few days, they do say "blood" several times, Doc Ock tells spidey that he'll "turn him into a blood smear" and during the Blade crossover episodes they do refer to the vampires as sucking blood, and using fangs.
This was actually fixed in some localizations, e.g. Russian dub replaces all mentions of "plasma" with "blood".
I still think Spectacular Spider-Man is the best incarnation of Spiderman on television. Too bad it was cancelled.

This was definitely the best one, X men and Spider-Man have been ruined since the 90s, but at least the first two Spider-Man movies weren't terrible. The last three were garbage unfortunately.

A truly excellent show which is often overlooked nowadays. Not only was Peter Parker's personality so iconic but the use of the Kingpin as the main recurring antagonist was a big key in what made this show stand out so much. Excellent story writing, excellent animation, its loyalty to the comics and all the action is why this is my favourite superhero cartoon of all time.
Kingpin also had good reason for actually being involved in most plots, as he was the dude who bankrolled most of the villains. That being said. He's no David Xanatos. Where even if you could nail him for a crime, he'd still find something meaningful in the meantime.
one of the best shows in my childhood, the villians, peter, his love intrests..everything especially the cool futurstic b roll scenes. This,Batman animated series and Xmen were GOAT.

Europe got a full series release on DVD but all the U.S. got was a couple compilations of select episodes on DVD and vhs. And I'm not ok with that. Disney owns fox now and had Saban briefly. They really need to release the complete series on bluray or something. I don't want to stream it, I want to binge watch it on a random Tuesday 10 years from now.

Ed Asner is not solely a voice actor. Ed is most fondly remembered for his role in the Mary Tyler Moore show, not any of his cartoon roles. Even so, his first voice acting role and the one that paved the way for his career as one, was Roland Daggett in Batman the Animated Series.
The comic book had a similar origin as the cartoon. Except instead of mob troubles, Jameson's wife was murdered by a masked gunman while he was on a journalistic mission out of state. This is why he distrusts Spider-Man even though he envies him.

I remember Spiderman swift appearance in the fantastic four animated series at that time. It was in the episode Galactus attacked Earth. Some superheroes made it to help FF to save the civilians, Spiderman for roughly a second was one of them.

Another thing worth mentioning is that Christopher Barnes & Josh Keaton both reprised their roles as Spider-Man Noir and Ultimate Spider-Man in 2010's Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions for the PS3/XBOX 360 and Wii-U. Both actors returned for Spider-Man Edge of Time as Spider-Man 2099 and Amazing Spider-Man.

I grown up on this show...I still remember how me and my friends from childhood were excited from this show. We were running home to TV every day at 5 pm to watch our favourite Spider-man...I'm 26 now and I just finished the last season and I still enjoyed it so much...I don't even know how long it was since I watched it last time :D Spidey is in my heart

When you said that Electro never appeared in the series, he did. It was with the episodes that introduced Red Skull. When you mentioned about the video games, you said the "Master Drive". There is no console called the "Master Drive".

I really do liked Spider-Man animated Series from 1994 especially the theme song, but I still wished the writers made one last episode featuring Peter Parker/ Spider Man with Madame Web finding the real Mary Jane and then return to their reality as a proper happy ending instead of leaving the Series as a cliff hanger😒.

The whole point of making Spider-Man 'unique' in his own way was that he used his scientific wizardry to design his on web shooters, and his webbing. Their attempt to make a 'plausible' explanation by having the spider bite pass on knowledge on mixing it up just diminishes the character's gifts. It's supposed to be a simple design, they just wanted an easy way to explain it.
