Keqing is the official one, you can get it from many sites. expensive.

I'm just gonna reply here so it doesn't get lost and I apologise if this comes across as patronising. To answer your last question, I feel CCs forget that having more than an hour gaming in a day is a complete luxury for adults with normal jobs. That means farming for insane artifacts won't be a priority. Learning optimal rotations won't be a priority. Etc.
It doesn't surprise me at all that comfort would be a priority. The majority of users, even long term players or dolphins, don't have the time resources available to streamers.
MASSIVE CAVEAT: the majority of users don't touch floor 12. The majority of users don't spend money on the game or spend very little money. The floor 10-11 usage patterns might provide far better insight to the behaviour of "average" players than the dataset you're currently using.
All of this in some way is my own opinion or speculation. I enjoy your content, I just feel my points are something CCs tend to overlook, particularly as active Twitch chatters are the most terminally online of any given audience and don't represent the majority of gamers, particularly for a mobile game.
FYI, Bennett is Childe's comfort teammate. Clorinde using Zhongli is interesting though, as self-sustain is supposed to be why she's better than Keqing.

@@icekyuu Despite having self-sustain, Clorinde doesn't have interruption resistance. And Zhongli is the easy mode for this while providing other benefits such as guaranteed resistance shred that also works on Dendro damage for Nahida, and not getting frustrated by screwing up on swirls (because of Nahida). I'd rather use Kazuha on the team that doesn't involve Nahida.
Im 100% comfort. I lose interest if things get too technical, so I just use my favorites that go decent together, are easy to use, and are fun to me.
Also with F2P or low spender account you don't have usually the resources to put on all the new meta instantly, so strong coreline to beat almost every abyss is preferrable. I don't mind if I don't get the last 2-3 stars in abyss sometimes, don't feel the need to stress myself with that primogen fomo.
@@ilari90 people don't clear full 36* abyss for the primogems, they do it because it's the only thing a bit challenging in this kids game
same, i prefer team with the simple rotation, long duration, and less button clicking the better, but they have to deal big dmg to cover my skill issue, which is why i love neuvilette so much, big dmg to reach dps check, aoe, not burst reliant, can heal himself, cheerleader team comp, usually wanderer on second phase, furina mono hydro, or nahida hyperbloom when needed

as someone who started playing a bit less than a year ago, 100% agree c0 5 stars team is way easier to get than a full team of c6 4 stars for low spender/f2p
sure, so maybe just go for more constellation on an 5 Star Chara. C2 Furina as a low spender and you will get easily all 4 Stars to C6

I think variety in content creators is useful.
I would love if Jello tested how many / which characters can realistically be subbed out of comfy teams and at what point it falls apart or is no longer worth it. For example, I have a Hutao and there are subs I can make in her teams, but it seems like her team is a go to choice specifically because of the double hydro and I don't have Furina or Yelan yet. I'm also building a Tighnari spread team but based on usage rates it's hard to tell if it will be worth using without Yae or Nahida.
I got my C6 Faruzan only after getting Xianyun and C2 Nahida on the banner
@@Rynokaizendo u have fischl built ? u can use dmc/collei/kirara as ur deep wood user and fischl for electro application and IMO is better than yae for tighnari uptime (i read some other comments and it seems that yae and fischl are typically used together so my b if that’s what u are planning)
I think a reason why Chiori is often relatively high is because she's just very easy to use to fill a flex slot. She does good consistent damage even without a second Geo teammate and her being Geo means she doesn't screw up a lot of the other reactions in the team. Also her quickswap feature is very nice to have in some situations.
The reason IMO is because Zhongli is so high. It's too easy to do a Chiori + Zhongli core and add two of your favorite units and just ungabunga your way through content.

@@leukos22You are super right, I think it’s because Chiori not only has two regular teams with Mono and Navia, but she also pairs with Zhongli for double geo. For C0 Neuvi havers Furina Double Geo goes hard, Chiori’s damage is nuts when Giga-buffed by Furina.
I think it is also because her sales were bad, and not because she's a terrible power-wise, but rather, because she's niche, only good in a pretty specific set of circumstances. Which is another of way of saying is that the people who did get her, are the ones that are the most dedicated to teams/characters that make good use of her. Just look at that ownership rate for her... she's at the very bottom of five stars.

@@lil_Perroalso the AOE is in 2nd half which has lectors, rift hounds and consecrated beasts which deals lots of dmg, adding the self bloom dmg on top makes it more dangerous

As someone who saved up and got c2r1 Wrio it always surprises me that he is so low and Neuv is so high. It is interesting when a character you love and you think is really good is way less popular.

as for wrio he really needs his c1 which most ppl dont have + there is no character is comparable to neuvi in strength & ease of use with pretty good versatility, so u really cant compare him to nuevi cuz everyone will look for the easiest way to clear abyss and nuevi is the best choice
even a c6 wrio cant do what neuvi can: which is do decent damage while being braindead to use. Wrio is fundamentally not easy to use, definitely not as much as neuvi, and at every equal investment level does way less damage than neuvi.

What’s funnier is recently one of the CN Genshin CC leaked that internal staff members of Hoyo helps him write his script when it comes to character builds and recommendations, bcs he has large fan base and has big influence on retaining current players and potential new players, so Hoyo wants to ensure he doesn’t ‘fk up’ his vids. And now Hoyo cut ties with him and no longer sponsor any Genshin related content he makes

Not surprising, since All of them still makes misconception about Beidou, even though she's been in game since 1.X. MOST Genshin CC even the big ones copy paste each other's works word to word, and they play like shit in abyss.
underrating Yae Miko and overrating Fischl at the same time are the Genshin CC classic at this point.
I think it is because content creators, in general, have a tendency to build teams around a single source of damage, rather than a more distributed model. It makes sense that they fall into this, because a good chunk of their views probably come from videos related to the latest character, so it is important to feature said character. Furthermore, they tend to have deep rosters and the four star cons that come with that.

Seeing Kazuha, a character from version 1.6, still being used on the same level as two of the most broken current characters in the game is CRAZY.

@seven_8434 While this is true. This wasn't the narrative back then. At that time "5 star Sucrose" was a way to say "Underwhelming and not worth pulling". It only changed to "5 Star Sucrose is a good thing" after the fact.

Why was Kazuha called 5* Sucrose back then? Simply because Sucorse was one of the best chars back then. So 5* Sucorse = a extremely strong character.
Why wasn't Kazuha value insanely high back then? Only two carries abused him well. Mono Pyro Klee and International.

Ganyu Freeze was still better with Venti (keep in mind the Abyss was completely Venti territory back then) and Melt Ganyu with Kazuha is eh. So Ganyu was fine but Venti was preferred. And Venti dominated a lot of the content back then.
The difference in VV Vape Hu Tao between Sucrose and Kazuha is not insane and most people didn't even use VV Vape Tao. Again good but not a reasonable upgrade to Sucorse.

And that's it. So yeah back then Kazuha wasn't a great upgrade to Sucrose. National still prefers Sucrose because of the more consistent and stronger buff/debuff. There was no good on field electro for Taser so Sucrose Taser was just better.
He genuinely wasn’t very good back then because the enemies were more groupable so Venti was better and his dmg buffing got better with characters that better used it, back then there was basically just ganyu who was better with Venti usually because of quadratic scaling

Teams I used were Nahida, Xingqiu, c6 Bennett, Razor & Furina, Ayato, Barbara, Kazuha.
So also, Razor being last on the list and I cleared using him.

I think the best characters in the game are Furina, Neuvillette, Nahida and Bennett.
I never thought a on-field character would make top 4, but here we are.
And really close ones are Xingqui, and another Xingqui, kazuha, fischl/Raiden/Yae/kuki, and xiangling (ofcourse).
@@arahul4045 Xinqiu, Yelan, Kazuha are next for sure. Xiangling is next. Then there plenty of characters which are extremely good, especially in their niche, and especially enabled by their synergies. But I'd say they are somewhat replaceable.
I do love Fischl/Raiden/Yae and Kuki, of course, and I use them all the time! Raiden and Zhongli are extremely "comfy" units, so I expect them to always be popular in Abyss.

I said it before but man I feel like most TCs really over-value Nahida+Kazuha in Aggravate setups because it is totally a pain in the ass to swirl Electro in that team comp. Using characters like Zhongli instead of Kazuha makes too much sense.
It's a hot take but I feel like Anemo and VV is overrated by TCs in the context of the average person who is trying to get an easy 36 star Abyss clear unless AoE damage is needed. Average Joe and Jane Genshinplayer would be better off running Zhongli or a character like Chevreuse (if they have her) instead.

@@querri4144 Like, I totally get it for soup teams, quickswap teams, mono-element teams, etc. but it's a lost cause for 90% of players to ask them to do a double swirl vape setup or even a Nahida aggravate setup.
That is why I run Clorinde Quickbloom with Furina
Why I play aggravate with Kirara, honestly. The shield is super comfy, it's not hard to find your swirl windows, and the damage is way closer to the average Nahida team than the math suggests, because of how easy it is to miss swirls with the cabbage lord.

Ayaka was surprisingly good here. I used her with Furina, Kazuha, and Kokomi with her and she was able to beat everything on side 2 relatively easily.
What can I use instead of Kokomi? I'm struggling with 12-1 2nd side so much

@@cucumbercytus Charlotte, she works better than Kokomi with Furina. I use Kokomi on my Ayaka Shenhe team but prefer Charlotte on my Ayaka Furina Freeze. And obviously throw in Kazuha for both teams.
Ayaka's burst windows on 12-1 plus freezes on constipated beasts worked really well for me this abyss.

Speaking as someone who owns a well invested C6 Gaming team he's never failed to 36 star my abyss comfortably, your guides on him back in the day definitely helped a lot!

9:54 I think thats bc the people that would submit their data for something like this are the people that have been playing for years and have A LOT of great characters built. They can still make it with more comfort. These sort of people wouldn't need your guides. The people that can't affort the comfort are the ones that need a guide.
I think mentioning possible comfort picks is fine I jist think the main recommendations should just be optimal teams for clearing
Reminder: it's cn data, on cn ppl are more open to donating and pulling sigs and cons those dmg isn't often a problem and because of that defensive options like zhongli(also it's theirs frickin archon) are much more popular. I think you, jello, need to include that as a disclaimer every abyss usage rate video

CN usage rates looks like global, when we still had people looking at Spiral Abyss usage rates. The only difference was some of the teams made in the west will show up as the most top 20 most played. Spiral Abyss was and still mostly a spender playground. The reddit account that currently does Star Rail usage rates, used to do Genshin-Impact Spiral Abyss usage rates. Turns out (true) f2p was 20% of the players who were participating.
The reason Yae Miko being that high is because she has more teams and flexibility compared to Fischl, once Fischl aren't able to abuse her a4 for Aggravate, Yae miko will be better, she can be on field , she can be off field and has tons of variatns, she is better than fischl in Spread and Taser, Chev overload ( no aimshot needed and longer duration turrets) , She has superior range and are better than Fischl in aoe. Also this current abyss 12-1-1 favors more quickswap and aoe compared to clorinde needing to commit to her E.
I have all the Electro characters and if it's not because clorinde is the new gemmick I wouldn't say she is better than Yae for this abyss first half, those that plays clorinde would know there is an ackward situation when you can't kill with clorinde's burst and when you Skill to kills the enemies before you could finish your 3NE 5x and are forced reapply dendro again with nahida's mark thus triggering ICD. I love playing clorinde but I gotta admit that it is much harder or annoying against wave mobs vs Yae quickswap style.
Yae has uptime and field time issues, so i just use Raiden instead...

The thing I see with 4* clears is, it is easier to replace a 4* with a similar 5* without losing damage. This is how I did my first Abyss 36* clears, I watched a CC do a 4* clear and then made my own variant of the team, replacing individual characters with the best similar one I had.
Surprised to see fishl this low, not used for Clorinde teams. As a non furina or neuvi owner, i'm cooked for 2nd half.
If you go to the teams section of the video, the only team she shows up in is Clorinde Aggravate. I imagine if the list went beyond 25 teams that you'd see some Chevreuse Overload teams that include her but she's definitely overrated by TCs and content creators.
For 2nd half, try any team that uses 2x Hydro units like XQ + Yelan if you have them.
Her only usage is on clorinde aggravate and its like 3rd or 4th most used team iirc
@@leukos22 I don't think she's necessarily overrated, but rather, that she's more niche than they give her credit for. She's at her strongest in teams with lots of electro reactions for her to A4 off, and, well, the only one that sees some use is aggravate. Supercharged pretty much sees no usage. Overload has the same issue melt does, which is that off-field pyro application options are not ideal. They either have low pyro application or are better suited for non-transformative reaction teams.
It's like Nilou. She's good, but she's niche. Except, unlike Nilou, most everyone has Fischl.
I love clorinde but shes almost unplayable without a shielder. With no lock on mechanic and she doesnt get I frames on her dash. It makes her feel awful to play with kazuha aggrevate unless you are insanely good or love resetting. I will pick chevruse with thoma or dehya over her dendro teams any day.
Disagree. Played her in a bunch of no shield teams and I had no issues. She does require more skills than the average DPS tho
Nah clueless. I cleared with her Fischl hyperbloom and had a very comfortable time, with inconsistent ping too. Enemies' attacks in this first side are very easy to dodge, and Furina's healing bonus makes her borderline immortal unless you get one shot. Sorry to say, but this is just big skill issue my dude.
@@lil_Perro ya she doesn't die but when you play a character with a 7 second up time and getting hit one time makes you lose 3 of that 7 seconds it feels awful. And if you have to dodge that's again losing skill up time which feels bad. I can clear it with furina but just because it does more dmg doesn't mean it feels better.
@@juggernaut6666her teams get way better when you just let her die and just pass without her lol. I ran her, nahida, raiden, and Jean let Clorinde die in 12-1 and then easy passed without her lol. Don't listen to the people who think hitting e then attack 2-3 times then e again and repeat takes any skill lol. She just feels horrible to play has nothing to do with skill.

It's only because Chinese players overwhelmingly have character constellations and 5* weapons. When damage is no concern defensive utility becomes highly desirable

Well, Kaz generally gets used more. But that's because Kaz is also an ease of use character in a lot of ways. He pumps the damage lots, while grouping enemies up. End result, you need way less effort to clear with him than without him.

when comparing usage rates for 5 vs 4 stars you have to consider accessibility. for example yae vs fishcl; a lot more people have fish than those who have yae and those who have yae most likely summoned her because they like her which would explain why her usage rate is so much higher
I tend towards comfort. The abyss does not feel that fun to me since it is too much of a dps check, so I just want to get it done and get my primos. It would probably been different if it was less of a dps race and more technical to challenge myself instead, but since I am bad at the game I would probably still tend towards comfort, so I can focus on everything else.
Itto being so low but still one of my go-to's for the first half just proves that this thing is a popularity context first and foremost
5:16 I think Yae Miko versus Fischl is more about the fact that everyone has Fischl, so naturally her usage rate is lower than a five star that only some people have.
But also Waifu>Meta
Why would you go for the highest possible damage? It'll take time achieving that. Just enough will do then comfort the rest. I personally only play male teams though.
High dps is very important if you don't get constellations and signature weapons (or a very close weapon to the signature weapon for your characters).
CN players in this tiers list of usage rate have for the vast majority some early constellations and signatures weapons.
The top 25 team is litteraly Wriothesley solo 🎉 and it is his most used team, simply because he is incredible for players who have his constellations and his signature weapon in single target.
But is he C0R0 ? I don't think so.

And she has awesome f2p options, 3 star bows are great on her and so is fav bow. Doesn't even need constellations she's great at c0.
Definitely comfort for me, once you've already cleared the DPS check you have more freedom to pick suboptimal damage in favor of slower but no stress clears.
So Zhongli shield, Baizhu as dendro driver over Nahida, easier to pilot teams, etc.
Obviously if you're right on the cusp of 36 star you're going to be more interested in squeezing out those last few seconds, in which case comfort does you no good.
Have you tried overdose, beiduo thoma xq and baizhu, although furina and nahida would be better this team would never die in a million years. (90% damage res plus shields and heals). Last abyss when inquisitor babtist was there is was usable and so comfy I was my baizhu alone tanked 500k damage).
I SUFFERED on this one lol. I only have one built hydro (Xq). So I went nahida/alhaitham spread on the first half and a wonky Navia team with Xq, Benny, Kazuha on the second half. It was weird but it worked.
Went back later with Cyno aggravate on first half and cleared quicker with him than Alhaitham but, I'm more used to Cyno so it was probably just a skill thing
repping the 0.5% Noelle. The weapon banner loss I had to Redhorn a while ago has become one of the biggest wins, it's been super fun swiffering every abyss with the OG maid and Furina.
I play for comfort over damage almost every time. And this is from someone that really likes to optimize the characters I use, and has farmed artifacts a lot.
The joy in optimizing is the process of getting everything out of the character, not the knowledge that it is the highest possible dps in the game.
In practice, whether I clear spiral abyss 5 seconds faster or not is completely irrelevant to me, while having to restart because the team is inconsistent annoys the hell out of me.
I tend to prioritize comfort over damage, but I had to replace Zhongli with Kazuha on my Arlecchino team for the first half because I struggled to clear 12-1. Jello, I think you should still tell which team has the best DPS, but please don't assume that people would use shieldless Arlecchino or healerless and shielderless Keqing or Yae because it's not true for most players. I don't think it's reasonable to assume that Arlecchino's burst or Xingqiu or prototype Amber are enough even for your own viewers (let alone most Genshin players) to survive, especially through three chambers (I survived half of the tries with Kazuha, Yelan, Arlecchino, Bennett in 12-1-1, but I wouldn't be able to beat Magu Kenki with this team because most players don't feel like memorising all the enemies' attack patterns and practicing so many times to the point where they can survive though Magu Kenki just with Arlecchino's burst. I cannot imagine surviving on Arlecchino against two pyro Abyss Lectors even with Xingqiu.
I have found that there is a lack of challenging combat other than the spiral abyss. Which I only play 20 minutes every two weeks. So I definitely use comfort picks like using shielders and healers on my abyss teams. I have been full clearing the abyss for years now and building teams for full damage hasn't been necessary for me. This isn't a game where developing hardcore skills really is needed when you can vertically invest in key characters to make content trivial.

Question, how come Kokomi is in the A tier eventhough her useage rate is closer to Raiden’s than to Yae’s? Curious about how the ranking works as Kokomi definitely felt like more of an S tier choice this abyss and the useage rate seems to support that.
35% and above is S tier. Tiers are useless anyways, because Nilou is stronger than half of A-S tier characters this abyss, but people just don't like using her. This also goes generally for most of the old dps characters, because they become boring with years of their usage on your account.
Feels like kokomi is extra good this abyss because she provides alot of hydro app if used as a driver for the second half, which is very good on the first chamber, while also providing healing teamwide, specially against the annoying constipated beasts that deal alot of damage is very useful, at least thats why I feel like she's much better this abyss, would definetly use her if I had her rn.
yeah comfort is king. I'd rather have zhongli than having to deal with kazuha double swirl stuff, plus you get a shield. kazuha is also so much harder to build, finding decent EM artifacts on VV.
All I wanna say is that the low usage rate on Nilou is half the reason why people think this abyss cycle is so difficult compared to before. Game is handing players a free clear and they just forgot she existed.
I have Nilou but my Nahida have to go with Alhaitham on the fisrt half, and i used other hydro char for second half. Nilou is good but she isn't the only choice :v
@@tramsiwonest I fully anticipate that the majority of the members of Jello's community, yourself included, can clear this abyss with a large variety of options. I'm more speaking to the larger, less knowledgeable portion of the greater playerbase who is struggling and is feeling frustrated.
But, this chart probably gets data from more experienced players in general, so my comment was probably off base anyway.

i used xiangling instead of chevreuse in my c3r1 overload raiden cause i needed a subdps who can clear the lower hp mobs in first half instead of waiting for my burst and restart my rotation for all 4 waves. i found that with chev i was overcapping my damage on one enemy only lose momentum against the next wave. it did the same for mangu kenki when i could deal 500k but only like 200k of it will be inputed since it has a second phase. with xiangling it balanced the damage output for my on field and off field damage ☺️
I prefer using Layla lol, I dont have Zhongli as I started kinda recently, so Layla has been an amazing substitute for my teams. Saving for his re-run one day. Havent tried floor 12 of this Abyss yet, but was able to 36 stars the previous ones.
I tried to use Clorinde without interruption resistance side 1 this abyss and found it almost unplayable, wasn't willing to reset 20 times to avoid being staggered out of half my DPS in the first two chambers. Maybe in other abysses it would do better. From what I've seen a lot of other people have had similar experiences. Doing 10-20% more DPS isn't really worth it if it makes the clear take 10-20 times longer because I have to keep resetting, unless that's literally needed to 3 star which it almost never is

For me personally the slimes were a challenge. I tried Alhaitham spread many many times but it didnt work (Even though my Alhaitham is very strong) but the funny thing is I tried Tighnari and I cleared first try even though my Alhaitham deals more damage haha. I guess having a ranged bow character that can draw attention away from the monolith helped a lot

Can CCs please stop saying Sucrose is a sidegrade to Kazuha...sure maybe she kills it on the spreadsheets, but abyss after abyss of no one using her should say that in practice she is just not top tier.
Its honestly just misinformative to people early into building their accounts and considering pulling Kazuha.
First of all, CN is baed on comfort, and you know what kazuha has. Comfort, when I run sucrose I find myself drifting towards kazuha even if sucrose is better. Let's look at the buffs. Sucrose provides at c6 20% damage bonus 250 em and 48% atk or an extra 10% damage bonus with hazkushin and vv. While kazuha only provides 40% damage bonus and VV. Sure there are differences in personal damage but those equate to around a 40k difference with buffs. The main difference if grouping. Grouping with sucrose is much harder because you have to know their poise value. I have tried and sucrose can group about 70-90% of kazuha's level with proper setup and technique however it is skillful yet difficult. About half as difficult as dragon strike diluc. Sure I mainly use kazuha but sucrose is when I want to clear faster.

oh yes definitely i am all for comfort as most impt than optimum dmg... most ppl are not trying to set speed run records but to clear 36* with the least number of resets because the amount of time u spend on playing abyss is mostly depending on the number of runs u do than how many seconds u shave off from each runs.. so u want a team with sufficient dps to clear... and u want to clear reliably... and ease of use random bullshit teams are good too because u dun need to worry about screwing up rotations that needs u to restart too.... thus ease of use and survivability are more impt that total dmg...
I'm surprised to not see *Neuvillette, Fischl, Kazuha, Zhongli* as a popular team I thought that team was great I used it on the 2nd side of the 4.7 abyss I used that team yesterday and cleared really well granted my fischl is C6 so her electro app really felt great against the lector's shields also all my 5 stars are C0 but I have neuvillette's weapon
You can also swap zhongli with beidou she's pretty good this abyss 😊
There is neuvillette with tartaglia instead of fischl, I think it's just because they want the hydro res and the buff on the CA from tarta passive, it's also because clorinde already use fischl
One angle that I've been thinking is that given the average account's # of character has gone up many fold, even w/o powercreep the usage rate of average char will have to dilute downwards, mathematically speaking. So a 10% usage rate in 4.x may be worth 15% or so in 3.x, so take that into account if you are doing time series of usage rate across diff versions.
Qhen I started playing I see Ganyu or Ayaka in the S+ or S tier list. Now they are underrated.😢
as far as what you said at the end, id say comfort first and then if I have a favorable matchup or like the enemies i'm fighting I will play a glass cannon team and try to speedrun the chamber. my endgame is putting the artifacts i've spent millions of resin (no idea how much but it feels like my whole life) to the test and seeing how fast i can clear vs other players using similar teams.
for example everyone says wanderer needs a shield which can be true a lot of the time. but if they are ventiable he doesnt need one and if you can just dodge well then furina or yelan become BIS in the 4th flex slot. I dont have furina yet, but Yelan Faruzan Bennett Wanderer is a very VERY strong under utilized team.
I'd definitely opt more for comfort>optimality. I'm a pretty new player (6 months) and play on mobile... Major skill issues + not many built characters means I've still never 36-starred the abyss 😅
ill never understand why fischl is so low always, i am a veteran player and have most characters built and i use fischl as often as xiangling/xinqqiu. Even after i got Yae Miko i started using them together rather than dropping either of them.
Comfort>damage ❤ My most played unit in the game for the last 2 years was Yoimiya. Comfortable playstyle mixed with crazy burst dmg at high investment

You are telling me that 44.7% of the people that pulled for Clorinde just build her in 2 weeks and beat the abyss with 36 stars using her? Like how? She just came out. It generally takes me at least a month to make my characters abyss ready. 44.7% is a HUGE number of players for a character that just came out.
AND Nilou at 12.5%? Really? She is one of the best characters for the second half. I've heard many people say that she is pretty good for the second half and many people said that they used her to beat the abyss yet she is lower than CHIORI?? Like this site is complete BS. I don't trust it.
Clorinde being compatible with gladiator set and using materials from old bosses allows her to be built on the first day if you pre-farmed prior to this patch via leaks. If you're not using Arlecchino on this patch, BoL artifact set may also be transferred to Clorinde as long as goblet is the off-piece.
Nilou, while being good on the second side of the abyss also implies that Nahida or other dendro characters will be used. But the first side benefits more by running dendro+electro teams on it. With Clorinde being the new hotness and Alhaitham on the banner with her, people will tend to use Nahida on first side leaving Nilou to only use 4star dendro on second side (which will probably have worse performance and comfort than any double hydro or mono hydro team).
Chiori is a flex slot and double geo is not hard countered on first side right now. This obviously did not place her higher but I can still see her performing better than Nilou who is locked into her own team while having other teams want her key teammate (Nahida).
And remember, these charts are also a popularity contest. Most of the BS can be attributed to that.

As a mobile player, dodgeing enemies attack is very difficult. Specially aggressive enemies. And now a days all 5* have intruption resistance in their 1st or 2nd consolation . So it's necessary to use a shilder or healer to survive the abyss.
That's why I always use Arlicchino and nuvi with my Layla . But if I run both of them on abyss I am lacking of shilders . So I need zongli as soon as possible.😢
C0 5 stars being easier to get is always so true. I'm almost a year in but I've only got my bennett to C1 and that's through shop. It's waaaay easier to plan for a 5* than getting lucky with 4*s.
I hope the next banner I'll pull on will have Bennett again. 🙏

i think it's mostly because she needs nahida, and nahida is really good first half. it's also one of those "a majority of players have neuvillette, and he's more comfortable to play" moments

I'm a little surprised sucrose is so low, despite being a 4 star she's been a really good kazuya sub if you're already using him on the other side, sometimes a better option for reaction heavy teams and is still a good grouper

Comfort first when DPS is enough. That's why you ranked Diona so low while I use her whenever freeze is viable as a cryo battery for Ayaka.
I mean IMO Diona sucks for comfort if you compare her to using Kokomi, or Charlotte, or Jean, or Layla. She’d be my 5th choice cryo I’d honestly rather use Shenhe and a proto Amber Mona tbh. Her circle is tiny she gives no real buffs and her ‘shield’ is paper thin

My fastest clear for first side came from Nahida Furina Kuki Dehya. It’s reaction soup paired with healing bonus, & interruption resistance. Cozy teams are the best :)

Still only pull him if you want comfort, CN players have lots of weapons and cons so they can easily 36 star even with zhongli.

Im fine with you using 5 stars for your abyss clears, i think what people mean when they call you out for it is, that there are people who want to copy your clears and the probability, that they own a 5 star you are using is lower, than if you would use only 4 stars (meaning they cant 1:1 copy your teams)
(It might be easier to get a c0 5 star ober a c6 4 star, but that doesnt mean that they own that particular 5 star you are using, everyone has different 5 stars)
I disagree on Childe international not having comfort. I tend to go back to that team often because it’s very comfortable for me since I’ve been playing that team for years now.

I am surprized where is the top team for Clorinde isnt most popular (Clorinde - Furina\Xingxiu\Yelan or Kazuha + Fischl Nahida), the most popular is with Zhongli (understandable kinda, C0 Clorinde is hard to play, but C1 makes it easier somehow by additional poise attacks, which staggers enemies more and its really helps)
I made a declaration the day before abyss reset to use my Dehya to 9 star the abyss and... even though it took some work, I was able to do it eventually.
First half: Arlecchino/Bennett(c6)/Dehya(c1)/Kazuha
Second half: Nahida/Clorinde/Fischl(C3)/Furina(C1)
in my case first side was much easier with Ayaka than second one

for me, comfort over more damage most of the time. I'd much rather have too much er +healing than clear 10-15 seconds faster at the risk of dying+restarting or having to start the chamber without bursts
only after I've 36* do i somethings go back in with my favorite teams and try to optimize grouping/rotations for faster clear times

I do agree with you about 5 star clears. At least based on my 3 year account, I have way more 5 stars than I thought I would. As a beginner i built also thinking any 5 star was rarer than water in the desert. But c6 5 stars i have maybe 6 even though I do happen to have a copy of everyone just coincidentally. I wouldn't worry about ppl saying that stuff.
Furina deserves the world
I pulled Bhaizhu last patch. So far he's been underwhelming. I'm a c0 Nueve player and still prefer the owner of contracts. Even as Nilou option so i can run Nahida on side 1. Still not the same. I must be doing something wrong. Also mono cryo side 1 is eating well. Happy to see a come back. Simon can be brute forced in just over a minute, leaving plenty of time for side 2. Its the Ganyu + Ayaka variant for AOE
I have C6 Kujou Sara that I don't use on my Raiden team (or at all) because it's a pain to shoot the arrow then run through it. Comfort is king, I'd always go with the least painful play options.
Kazu is fun but makes me super lazy against mid enemies, especially on a freeze team lol. Way too comfortable makes the game boring though
