After his kidnapping a scene where it was explained why he was targeted for the academy would of been helpful even if it was a short one. Would not his family have asked questions about his whereabouts? Perhaps end that scene with an informative discussion between the guy and his family. That way the Galactic FBI could stop looking for him.

Matthew going to class like every other student...... Nevermind the FACT that the school literally highjacked his flight and kidnapped him..... The whole thing between Matthew and Thea...... Sounds like Stockholm syndrome.
I've done stupid stuff for the pretty girls in my life, won't deny, but this kind of thing happened to me..... There's going to be some rebellion from me until shit gets righted really fast.
