I've been riding for 2 years but Bobsled was my very first trail and everytime I do it, it's a total nostalgia overload. Nice to see you riding in Beautiful British Columbia, me and my friends are huge fans. Great riding by the way!
Just so you know, @BKXC, the red pickup at 0:29 belongs to the legendary Todd Fiander, a.k.a. "Digger" who is credited for the majority of trails in North Shore and for its unique features. He's (and his friends) been building since the 80s. The guy is a real good show. Whenever I watched this video I can't help but wish that you knew it was Digger at the time, because the opportunity to say Hi to him and Thanks for his work, is rare.
Just did some video comparison between this video and your newest Fromme video I just watched. You did well in both videos. Maybe even a little better in the newest one. Your skills just keep getting better...
"This place is a trip" -- Great summation! You handled that technical stuff really well, impressive riding! I am about to head to Downieville and South Lake Tahoe for a week of riding. Planning to hit a few of the rides you did in Tahoe for the channel...TRT-Armstrong, Van Sickle-Star Lake, Spooner-Van Sickle. Hope I can handle the high altitude!
Will do and hell yeah I am super stoked! Your trail guides and videos were key. I just got my bike back from the shop today after I blew up my shock last weekend at Demo. So I'll be riding with a brand new Fox DPS. Should be good!
The red truck at the beginning belongs to Tod, aka Digger! He is the man that has been building those trails for the last 20+ years. You rode them trails like a champ man. Mad skills for your first time!
I've always felt lucky to have all the trails we have in Nor Cal but now I'm jealous. I really need to make a trip there sometime. WOW! Might stretch my skills even more and I might need a fs bike instead of my hardtail! :)
Holy crap I just realized that you had this in the collection! I'm literally about 20 minutes from there if that right now. I gotta go, I gotta go, I gotta go!!!
Did you ride the "big rock" on espresso? Which was your favourite trail? I like expresso and floppy bunny. But there isn't a bad one, they're all fun and very well kept.
In the vid your buddy rode it at 9.05. I ask because I haven't had the nerve up to yesterday and I fell when I tried it. Next time I'll get it. Keep making vids.
Hey Brian, I love the channel but I would love to to see some more off the bike videos, such as bike reviews, how-to's and stuff like that. How would you feel about doing some more o these videos?
He has done a number of these in the past and I expect we will see more eventually. Currently, though, he is taking advantage of every moment of a 6 week LoA from work to travel as much as he can and ride as many trails as possible. Reviews and such can be done after a 9a-5p shift... Riding 'Top of the World' in BC.. not so much. :)
Hey dude! Yeah, I definitely want to fit in some of that kind of stuff, but if I only had to choose one type of video it would be the trail guide. So that's what you'll see the most of!
Awesome video! Just came back from Pemberton, whistler, Squamish and Seymour... Missed Fromme... Next time! Just subscribed to your channel, inspiring! Your vids are so clear... Any advise for me? GoPro? Settings?
Great video Brian. Shout out to Digger who is the guy that builds all the trails. That's his red pick up truck that we passed at the beginning of the video near the toilets and tool station. Fromme is so well maintained. Next time you come, we will ride Ladies Only.
Wow Ben! Your skills have definitely gone up a few notches! That's some techy shit alright! Much respect for throwing yourself into it like that. Makes me miss my Pivot Mach 5.7. But I've got it's brother the Mach 6 now. Have you ridden one? Even better.
Thanks Dan! ;) You gotta push your boundaries to grow, and this trip did that, 100%! I haven't ridden any new Pivots and it's a damn shame! Hopefully soon.
The yuppies, that think own the street, the mountain and north van, are making darn impossible to cultivate proper BC culture with in their neighborhood. Bylaws enforcement of st.parking started 2018

That's so cool! Thanks bud
Tough trails, but some really lovely trail building on show. Great riding, BK!
Like a friggin' work of art! Amazing how much time and energy is put into this stuff so we can go out and have a blast.
Some of the most high quality MTB videos on youtube. Can't wait to watch you keep growing.. Love your stuff dude!
Thanks so much, man!

Haha yeah I thought you copied and pasted this!
Beautiful place, beautiful weather, beautiful trail!
It really was! Thanks dude
Keep this stuff going man, you're allowing people to see how fun MTB is!
Thanks dude! I'm so glad I can get you pumped up for riding.
I love my back yard the North Shore mountains, just learning to ride and this is what I am lucky enough to learn on. Good video Brian as usual.
Just did some video comparison between this video and your newest Fromme video I just watched. You did well in both videos. Maybe even a little better in the newest one. Your skills just keep getting better...
NICE! Thanks dude
one of your best videos congrats on 6000+subs got really good skills on the bike
Thanks Steve, I appreciate the love, brother!
I did search for Fromme! Spooky af that you mentioned it!
Haha nice
More great north shore trail building. Hard to argue why BC is considered the mecha of Mtb.
Pretty cool!
I never knew JM and Stacey till like a year or two ago, didn't know they rode with you that long ago. Sweet!
@BKXC Thoroughly enjoyed that video, what an interesting set of trails!
Thanks Todd!

Hell yes! You're going to love it, man. If you're on Instagram tag me @kennedyish_ so I can see a pic or two!
Will do and hell yeah I am super stoked! Your trail guides and videos were key. I just got my bike back from the shop today after I blew up my shock last weekend at Demo. So I'll be riding with a brand new Fox DPS. Should be good!
Bad ass, dude! You'll love it.
man you make those climbs look real easy awesome trials awesome crashes lol keeping it real as always great vid Brian.
Thanks Alan!!

Very cool!! I cannot wait to go back and shred that stuff again. My skills really started to develop with this BC trip and have only gotten better.

Thanks Nelson! Yeah bud, two videos for the weekend!
I've always felt lucky to have all the trails we have in Nor Cal but now I'm jealous. I really need to make a trip there sometime. WOW! Might stretch my skills even more and I might need a fs bike instead of my hardtail! :)
Such a great destination, dude! Worth the trip.
Holy crap I just realized that you had this in the collection! I'm literally about 20 minutes from there if that right now. I gotta go, I gotta go, I gotta go!!!
Hahaha, do it!
My fave trails on Fromme are Bobsled and Espresso. They're not overly hard but so much fun
That perfect balance!
+BK-XC yeah the log ride is pretty difficult
Did you ride the "big rock" on espresso? Which was your favourite trail? I like expresso and floppy bunny. But there isn't a bad one, they're all fun and very well kept.
Dang, it's been too long to remember the big rock or what the best trail is. If you hear me saying "YESS!" in the video that's probably my favorite.
In the vid your buddy rode it at 9.05. I ask because I haven't had the nerve up to yesterday and I fell when I tried it. Next time I'll get it. Keep making vids.
Ah brutal. I didn't do it.
My knees wish I didn't too haha. I bought pads today for my next attempt
Pads are a good idea
Wow, that looks like an obstacle corse. So many spots i would have ended up in a tree. Looks fun but nerve racking.
Hahaha, tough mudder on a bike! It was fun AND a real butt cheek clencher!
Amazing ride. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching, George!

That was amazing ,great riding.
Thanks David!
Nice. Loving the BC videos. How would you rate the BC trails on the world stage?
I haven't ridden the world quite yet, but BC trails are an A in my book!
Great video Brian. Shout out to Digger who is the guy that builds all the trails. That's his red pick up truck that we passed at the beginning of the video near the toilets and tool station. Fromme is so well maintained. Next time you come, we will ride Ladies Only.
So well maintained, so much love went into that place, you can feel it!
Gorgeous trail! So jelly!
Thanks bud!
Im jealous, wow those trails are the bees knees, its like being at a fun park w a mt bike, are you riding your Santa Cruz
I rode my brother's Pivot Mach 5.7 in BC. My Colorado videos will be on my Bronson.
Wow Ben! Your skills have definitely gone up a few notches! That's some techy shit alright! Much respect for throwing yourself into it like that. Makes me miss my Pivot Mach 5.7. But I've got it's brother the Mach 6 now. Have you ridden one? Even better.

As mentioned "sweet Jesus" what a ride, how was your hands after that workout
Hahaha! My hands were pretty good actually!
Mt fromme is the next best place to whistler in my opinion. Especially when your broke and you can’t afford a season’s pass
I agree!
what kind of skill level is this trail, black diamond, or intermediate, it looked like a tough ride with the huge boulders to ride over.
This was over various difficulties on various trails. Here's a link to the mountain to check it out: www.trailforks.com/region/mount-fromme/
That is an amazing trail!
Yeah, it's pretty great!
Great vid. Looked very technical in certain parts.
Seriously techy, but a good way to stretch the skills!
+BK-XC You should have hit Ladies Only. That's a pretty Technical trail.
I really wish the magic leprechaun who builds these trails would visit my local trails and fix em up. So cool!
Haha, at Fromme he's called Digger and drives a red pickup truck which can be seen at 0:30.
Epic trails!!
Thanks bud!
You and the Bronson are a perfect match man, I see you on the Intense cool bike but I think the Bronson is more fun 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🚴🚴🚴🚴✅
Thanks bud!
hello amazing do you post the gpxfile? thanks
OMG! 😱! Wow! The trees were out to get yah! Holy shit balls! You rocked it, Nice!
Hahahaha, love that it got you hyped up!
BK-XC On the edge of my seat moments! Haha! They sure know how to make trails up in BC! Brilliant!
Those rocks are damn steep, thought it was a drop and not a rideable section
There were some really crazy things, and I rode a few of them! Stuff starts looking a lot less steep once you take on the challenge.
When is that new bike gonna make its video bebut ?
Gonna be a few more videos before I have me riding it in Colorado, stay tuned!
What level is this? Black? Double black? Or blue?
All different levels, search for Fromme on Trailforks and compare my Strava.
do you feel riding Fromme tech has made you a better rider?
100%! Really stretched me in the best way possible!
Nice bike
Geez Louise that is some serious chunky obstacle course challenge
Definitely a test of mind and body!
are you riding a pivot
Yep, Mach 5.7
cool I ride for there XC team in britain and I ride a switchblade and a les 27.5
Awesome! I really want to check out the Switchblade.
It's a Great Bike
You need to start riding your bronson on videos like this.
Didn't have the Bronson yet when I shot this!
thanks for always writing back.
My pleasure, bro!
Yeah! You rode my local mountain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Skull is a fun trail.
Yeah buddy!!!
Espresso FTW tho
7th secret is funner in the wet!
👍 📹
I miss my bike!
Haha, my videos may be hazardous to your wallet and health!
Your bike sounds like a cutlery draw
Lol! I was thinking the same thing. I bet people could hear that Pivot coming from the bottom of the mountain. :)
Hahaha, that's the most British thing ever, love it!
anyone see diggers car at the start
Sorry Brian. Spell check!!
Hahaha, happens to the best of us!
The yuppies, that think own the street, the mountain and north van, are making darn impossible to cultivate proper BC culture with in their neighborhood. Bylaws enforcement of st.parking started 2018
Bike sounding like trash can
Epic trails!!
