@@Shmuptopia always a pleasure to watch your videos since they’re so cozy. I just got back from a trip to Japan and I got to experience Mushi Futari and Esprade in arcade CRT! I loved esprade so much I bought a physical copy of it

There's this guy who lives in an abandoned school up in the forest of some mountain and he converted it into a coffee roasting cafe. There are some vids about the place and the family and I are eager to visit someday. I'll brainstorm ways to further increase the cozy vibes.
Hey Dace, I just realised Rolling gunner has a Overpower DLC. i was wondering if you were going to make a video on that. I see you haven't yet.
Great question, I haven't any plans to do so since I don't see myself jumping into the DLC. Have you played it, though? Feel free to share your thoughts!
@@Shmuptopia why don't you want to try the DLC? It's very different. Turning it into a twin stick shooter. It's also easier. Do give a try if you find the time. Would love to hear your in depth takes on the mode.
@@sudarshangopinathan5904Mainly because the twin stick setup completely removes a huge part of what I love about the game. The positional awareness, knowledge and execution required make for a very demanding, exhilarating, and fulfilling experience - especially on Expert mode which is the only difficulty I play on now. I absolutely love it! I’m also not into the idea of the right-stick shot cancelling bullets.
I just caved myself a couple days ago and finally ordered a Haute42 M13 (the aluminum one with an extra WASD up button). Did you ever do a video about leverless controller technique for shmups ? I bought the Haute mainly for fighting games, so i never thought about how it would work for shmups.
Great question, I haven't done a video on technique but I do have one in mind for dissolving the misconceptions or things that may hold people back from jumping in. How is the M13? I have my HauteBoard Mini and B16 double review going public soon, then the next one from them is the P12. I would love to eventually sample an M or T series controller, maybe the M Plus now that they're rolling those out, but we'll see. Either way, I always love controller talk.
@@Shmuptopia I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Should take a couple weeks since i live in Morocco. I'll probably make a video about it then. And yeah, i know about the M plus but i still opted for the smaller format. You know, it's like with arcade sticks, once you adopt them, you'll end up owning a lot of them.
@@yagami999913Gotcha! I know they sell on some Amazon markets but not the Canadian one yet, so my wait times are definitely around 3 weeks or so. Morocco! That's fantastic, I believe you're the first person to mention being from there. You bring up a great point about owning a lot of controllers. I went from having just the Snackbox Micro in January to suddenly having ten or more leverless controllers. That's almost entirely because they were sent to me for review purposes, though. It's not like I'd spend that much in such a short time on one type of thing. But I love controllers!
@@Shmuptopia I ordered mine on AliExpress. But i think i saw Haute42 products on Amazon Canada since i was actually gonna ask a relative who lives there to order it and bring it with them. But it was on short notice, so i didn't wanna take the risk of the controller being delivered after they've already departed to Morocco. And yeah, i might be the only one here really into the shmup culture who bought M2 ports and struggled to find a monitor support to be able to do Tate.
