If you will note the date on this recording it was made in 2009 nearly 6 years ago. You will need to review changes in the regulations and additions to existing FAA rules which modify the information offered by Joe Lockwood. In other words, DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

He makes a couple mistatements concerning who can do annual inspections on ELSA's and SLSA's. At one point he say's a LSRM can do the 100 hour insp on an SLSA but only a A&P can do the annual. He also said only a A&P can do the annual on a ELSA!. Wrong!
The 3 week LSRM course allows graduates to perform, maintenance, modifications and annual inspections on SLSA's and ELSA's. 2 day inspector course graduates can do thier own annuals on their ELSA,s.
He is running customers away. Please correct.

OK!! WAY OVER PRICED FOR THE SPORT WORLD!!!!!!! I belong to no organization and if I bought a light sport engine it would be a Viking aircraft engines for half the price.I have a little car with this engine in it with 238 thousand miles on it and still running top notch burning no oil and still with great compression! So 238 thousand miles to hours is 3,966 hours. I would not push a aircraft that far but, at $33,000 for a Rotax to $15,000 for a Viking. MY MONEY WOULD BE ON A VIKING AIRCRAFT ENGING FOR A SPORT PLANE PERIOD!!!!!!
