In fairness SkyMax, this is not how the internet community works these days. Nobody wants to contact you. Email is a hassle. It's very "year 2003." Follow my advice and watch interest in your product increase.
Taking in to account the title chosen for this video post "silent" and simple... I'm surprised to find no example of just how silent this device is supposed to be ? Ps. The only motor noise actually heard gave no verification of being quieter let alone being silent
Electric Paramotors are very good for students of Paramotoring to learn. they are light and very powerful. quieter too. Not much to maintain, and easy to use. saves lots of work. flight times of course 10 to 15 minutes and thats more than enough for student. once skills are good, they can carry more batteries to extend flight times. my homemade electric Paramotor can do 15 mintues on 16000mah batteries and puts out almost 65kg of thrust with my new upgrades. and these are super easy to build as well.
@@nolansrc9560 now i have a updated and built a new one. two version. 53kg thrust for light weight pilots from 50 to 90kg and 74kg thrust for heavy weight pilots. above 100kg. i use 100 volts now
The length of this video is about how long you can fly an electric paramotor. I would love to see an electric paramotor that can fly for 2+ hours. Then I would buy one!
The weight of the electric paramotor which could fly 2+ hours is more than one can operate when he starts. But most pilots don't need 2+ hours (not you, I see). They don't fly that much. This paramotor may fly up to 70 minutes with the largest battery. That's more than enough for most people.
this is probably the way forward, engines in cars are the best for now, but para motor engines need to be serviced very regularly and have any issues, an electric motor is great only 1 moving part so less things to service or go wrong and back up circuitry can be implemented
that's what we see as it's advantage. this (maintenance cost) also makes difference in price not so big between fuel and electric paramotors in terms of 3-4 years of exploitation.
I had stated in a previous post that this unit would cost 2 times what a gas unit goes for when I honestly did not know the price for that... I would like to apologize. Now that I have done some homework I'm really looking into buying one...it just makes sense the Pros far outweigh the cons. Thank you SkyMax.
Quick hint? When you're talking about quietness being one of the major advantages of something, TURN THE DAMN LOUD MUSIC OFF and let people hear it... 🙄
The biggest issue I see is that you need 20kW of power to run these motors. That means that they are not feasible for ultralight aircraft as the battery energy density is not high enough. Let's do the math.... Li-ion energy density = 100-265 W·h/kg Assume 265 Wh/kg for the best of the best technology. Flight time has to be at least 3 hrs. So that means 20kW * 3 hours = 60kWh. 60kWh/0.265Wh/kg = 226 kg. 226kg is not ultralight !!!
Wouldn't an electric propfan (5-6 blades) be actually silent, like a powerful ceiling fan? This only has two measly blades and is high revving and loud because of it.
It’s hard to believe it’s silent the motor may be but the prop isn’t if you did want the prop to be quieter I would experiment with shaped props like stealth helicopters use
Get the units right. It is not K.W.H. It is kWh. And ApH is probably Ah. W is not a unit for voltage. Get familiar with the SI-system. But in general I like the product I guess.
How's the range? I can't imagine batteries are anywhere close to matching range of gas motors with comparable battery/fuel weights. This thing ain't doing any Icarus trophies that's for sure.
Agreed, I'd like to see a side-by-side sound test to compare. It didn't sound that much less silent at the end of the video. Still cool though, best of luck with it!
Why do product makers do this? Why do they post videos about how something sounds, even if the sound is supposed to be quiet, then put some stupid music on that doesn't allow you to hear how something sounds? This is just stupid. Some dumb ass in marketing or management probably thought this was a good idea.
Electric paramotor characteristics and figures: - Flight duration 40 minutes on Sky Paragliders Zorro 22. - Battery is made of 240 cylindrical high-current lithium-ion cells of 18650 format according to configuration 15S16P. - Cells model is LG HG2. - Maximum momentary current of the battery is 320A. - Battery capacity is 48ApH - Nominal voltage 55W - Battery weight 13 kg - Charging device for 10A charges battery to the full in 5 hours. - Battery holds 500 cycles and after that it's capacity decreases on 20%. - Thrust 57 kg - Power 20 h.p. - Paramotor electric power (max) 14.5 K.W.H. (20 h.p.)
How do the batteries behave in colder temperatures and different altitudes, humidity and thermal cycling. What about 'g' shock and the like ? Anything that is made of 18650 cells needs to be thoroughly tested in an aviation application. Even the wiring would need to be certified. It's a great idea but will need a lot of work.
electric paramotors are extremely cheap to produce and sold at a massive profit, so they make far more profit for the manufacturer than gasoline paramotors. They are much easier to make from parts you order online, at around 1/25th the price of the retail version with the same specs. When paramotor manufacturers finally catch up to this and start selling them at reasonable prices, they will actually become popular.
Can't buy (and won't) from you anymore. You're from Russia... So, I will have to buy a OpenPPG instead. The shipping is longer. I'm in Sweden and that one comes from USA.
Nice video but useless in terms of information.

look at the description
Hi. There is a paramotor description under the video. For any other details. please contact skaymaxavia@gmail.com

So the motor plays music while you fly. That is amazing. Not really Silent or Simple...but amazing nonetheless!
Thank you for the momentary gap between dramatic soundtracks.
And if you hadn't covered the flight with music we could have heard something nice n quiet. Why no info - would have been a perfect way to advertise?
There is some information under the video. If you have more questions, please, contact skymaxavia@gmail.com
WOuld have been good IF we didnt have the music and we could HEAR the motro flying
EXACTLY!!!!!!!!
The tech is getting better.. it’s about time we start seeing these. I love my Star frame and think it would be perfect with an electric conversion

It's quieter, as the video eventually shows, near the end.

What's the all up weight with the 70+ minute battery?
The battery weight for electric paramotor, which could fly 120 minutes, is about 45 kg. The whole paramotor weight will be about 60 kg.
SkyMax Paramotors That’s extremely heavy. No thanks.
Of course it is. But how many pilots need to fly that much? If we talk in general, but not particularly about you
this is probably the way forward, engines in cars are the best for now, but para motor engines need to be serviced very regularly and have any issues, an electric motor is great only 1 moving part so less things to service or go wrong and back up circuitry can be implemented

The opposite. Make it yourself from parts bought online, and it will cost 1/4 of the price of a gas unit.
Did Tucker Gott contact you guys?

What is the weight of the battery pack needed to sustain, say, a 30 minute flight?
Very rarely I give any video a thumbs down but I couldn't help myself on this one. Fire whoever you hired to do your marketing.
Awesome!! I love my Expedition with the Moster and people really enjoy the Paravlogs I film with it! What's the price point on this? :-)

" Flight time has to be at least 3 hrs.". That's your personal specs. Electrics work with an hour or less. In time, battery technology will pick up.
Of course it's silent with music over the video ...
whats is the charging time for the biggest available batterypack?
I suppose these are more reliable than 2 stroke engines
Silent? No. I would never expect that. Quiet, yes!
When the batteries get to 3 hr duration i'm all in
The Future is silent and simple, unfortunately this video isn't.

How many engine revolutions?
What is the weight of the motor?

I like the thumb throttle, curious how you hold the A’s for forward launch? Asking because I bought a similar throttle but haven’t used it yet.
I really trust a company that makes something electric but doesn't even us the correct units...🤦♂️
You put the useless music because the motor is not silent at all! Most of the sound comes from the propeller
Get the units right. It is not K.W.H. It is kWh. And ApH is probably Ah. W is not a unit for voltage. Get familiar with the SI-system. But in general I like the product I guess.

Rainer Zufall Amps is just A. W is Watts... a unit of power. It is related to Voltage. Volts x Amps = Watts.
Definitely not silent.
Sure due to propellers

This is cool but how can you advertise anything with a propeller as "silent"?
Well, if you compare it with the usual paramotor you know what I mean.
Agreed, I'd like to see a side-by-side sound test to compare. It didn't sound that much less silent at the end of the video. Still cool though, best of luck with it!
Matt Man It's gonna be quieter than an engine, but most of the noise in any propeller driven aircraft comes from the propeller.
I understand but it may be more honest to advertise it as quieter as opposed to silent.
Matt Man that's exactly what I meant.
