Hey Fluff! Appreciate you shining a light on this and glad you enjoy using it! the mix you did sounded killer. So stoked to hear how people are using this in their mixes! Thanks again!

Good lord the drums and guitars were super sick, man. Just got the plug in from Josh and am working on a mix now. It's insane how good they sound and how much fun I am having
This is exactly what I’ve needed. I spend so much time trying to get a great drum mix by the time I’m done I’ve done zero writing. Going to grab this kit. Thanks for the review!
Very cool. I've been underwhelmed with toontrack drum expansion packs so more competition for drums for sketching out my (breathtaking) ideas for writing/demos etc is welcome. I'll have to dust off Kontakt and check it out
Hey! I just bought this off the back of your video. Very cool, just a few things; - Installation was really difficult. Had to reach out to NI support to manually send me a DL. Not saying that's MDL's fault but curious if anyone else had the same? - I appear to have some drums missing (couple of snares, some toms, all the Yameh ones work though) - Would've been nice to get a velocity curve control on the snare one shot to exclude it from ghost note playing Overall, really like it. The inclusion of a one shot loader for kick and snare is something that's overlooked on literally all other libraries. Instant beef!
Correction Fluff: for an additional one-shot, you wouldn't have to create another instance of Kontakt, but instead add the instrument to your current Kontakt instance and map the new snare to the same midi note.
That would certainly work, but I do it the way Fluff described to allow me to process the second sample differently without having to change my multi-out setup. Six to one.
I believe it does. Under the drums in the mix portion it says master. One could only assume that there’s an option to route the kit pieces individually.
@@ZombiePenguinStudios i really like Krimh drums by Bogren , also perfect drums for more processed sound, but yes you are right sometimes a different flavor adds more inspiration
sd3 has had one shots forever. (Slate too) I'm not sure why these new drum software packages are popular at all. GGD, MLDrums, Bogren.....it can all be done with SD3 that was released so long ago.

Yes, please! Music companies, save us from financial ruin-turn pocket change into pocket grooves. Let’s bang out beats without breaking the bank. Rock on, one coin at a time!
I will say that this is much more friendly for those who haven’t developed mixing skills. This sounds far better in a straight out the box stereo context than you can get with an GGD library with “Turbo” turned on, or the One Kit Wonders. (I also believe that’s why GGD offers a mix breakdown for almost all of their full kit libraries) I think the RS Drums Fairview Kit is a bit better in the stereo untouched context, but that’s also stylistically a different kit. What it truly boils down to, do you like Josh Middletons drums? Wanna support him? Buy this.
The day is coming if not here already where an A.I. assisted final ‘human feel’ plugin will turn a software robotic drum track into a real humanised drum groove with swing . Killer tones on this one .
It's just what the people want. Ugritone made a bunch of cool and unique drum VSTs for really cheap, but there wasn't the demand and they recently announced they're shutting down.
check out the Kurt Ballou drum series vst. They recorded all the samples at electrical audio when Steve was still alive. Rawest midi samples i've ever used, so good for just using all your own processing so you can avoid bullshit like this
Yeah, I grabbed the Ugritone all in drum pack. The artwork is nice, the GUI is absolutely ugly, but they really sound good. I would like to use them with my edrums. I have to remap some things but than ... Will be fun to play this stuff. I got the MixWave Tony Royster jr. pack and that is ... man, really?! 5 velocity layers ... I am a Superior Drummer 3 guy normally, but there are no neat new releases for me. So I have to drain my wallet for other VSTs. Anyway I really would like to get the Mangini pack. Or this stuff here. Or Hertz drums. BFD3 etc. hmmm...
We don't need another sampler. We need more apreciation and recognition toward albums with sampled drums. We need labels being ok with sampled drums. Thank god that Metal Blade released The Zenith Passage 'Datalysium' with it's programmed drums. It sounds phenomenal thanks to Dave Otero.
Dude… sooo many releases nowadays have no actual human drumming on them. I believe that stigma only lies within fan bases of genres themselves. Labels not having to shell out extra money for engineering drum tones and have a faster turn around on an album? Can’t say labels mind that.
Have you noticed everyone’s music sounds the same ?? Quit using fake drums and fake guitar amps I’m sorry but everything sounds the same fake fake fake Get a kit electric or acoustic and record the human feeling is SERIOUSLY MISSING
Yeah. This is the same lifeless, robotic drum plugin you can hear on any number of interchangeable releases. I'll take low-quality but real recordings over this lovely, but sterile, rendered sound, any day. Same with guitars.
Agreed. I do most of my compositions in EZD, using grooves, bandmate and the built in grid editor. As I understand it from this video, it should be OK to just swap out the EZD plugin for the MDL one...if that works it would be awesome!
Hey Fluff! Appreciate you shining a light on this and glad you enjoy using it! the mix you did sounded killer. So stoked to hear how people are using this in their mixes! Thanks again!

You won’t regret it. Bought them the instant I saw their detailed video. They are killer!!
Fluff, this might be my favorite guitar tone you've ever had in a mix! Drums sound great, too, obviously.
Good product! It's not my favorite drum sound but it's sought after and this nails it OTB. Besides, Josh deserves ALL the love!
Love your riffs Fluff!
I LOVE the new sylosis album. Its easily one of my favorites of all time.

Right, toontrack packs are very vanilla sausage
Yeah and Toontrack is a rabbithole of features that stress me out. I like the straight-forward packs way better

Having the same issue as we speak. Any help?
Same issue here. No nicnt file to install into Kontakt, using the download from MDL
@ use VPN. Problem solved for me.
Those snares sound ridiculously good I think I'm gonna bust
How many layers are there per 1 kit piece?

In the drum map sections, are there some finished map for old Toontrack or GGD users?
Damn this sounds so good
Any snares with a ring to them?
*i love ezdrummer*
This sounds absolutely incredible! My only question is will this work with any DAW?
I like it but ill wait for Bogren to release trivium drums 🤘
You had a same says in case of Mixwave gojira as well :-) If you compare these two, what will ´be your choice for modern metal?
Anyone managed to map cymbal chokes to edrums? I cant seem to make it work for my edrum kit. It is kinda annoying.
I want to see Austin D'Amond play this on a good E-kit and then I'll buy both lol

Yes it does come with a handful of beats

No better or worse than anything else that's already out there atm

@@thefuse03101 can you back up your claim and explain how or ..?
Nice, more hyper processed, hyper quantized, assblasted max velocity 'may as well be one shots' drum sounds. The stagnation is real.
Hey, just get Ugritone drums and get that boxy shitty remix you always dreamed of!
