Not only is this song really impactful for me emotionally (I first saw Burlesque when my disability started to seriously impact my quality of life), but this song is everything I want my singing to be. It's bold, it grabs you, and you can tell that a soul was poured into the performance.
Why, is because of the subject matter. The execs don't want to admit the amount of money that gets spent in places like that and they don't want it known that they enjoy it. If they give it oscars, or proper accolades, they will feel like they condone the behavior. They can't have that.

I never liked my voice because of how low it was when it came to singing. I would always hear other girls sing so high-beautifully and soft meanwhile there’s me with a deep voice. Until I found out about Cher I’ve always admired her because i remember her on an interview saying the same thing that she always felt insecure of how she sang because of how deep her voice was.
