you can press 2,2(blocked) into NSS flash, works 9 times out of 10, they love to press

Works in low elo yeah lol i used to do that but once you hit tekken king nobody presses randomly even in blue

Hey man I really appreciate this upload I’ve been trying to find a guide on how flash works cuz I’m struggling to use it properly going to lab this and practice these traps. I think this is one of the many things I needed to get out of shinryu.

I did have a question though: assuming you're in single sword rather than NSS why would you duck-punish with flash rather than ws2,1 for example? Or would this work for small low pokes on block rather than just duckable highs?
That's an excellent question! Flash is much, much faster; more than twice as fast for 1SS. Being that fast means it will be able to punish almost anything even if it has fast recovery, like a jab. If you duck something with a lot of recovery frames, though, ws2,1 will net a much higher reward than 1SS Flash. That being said, ws2,1 on block puts you in a very bad position, so be sure it will land. Flash is also punishable, but oftentimes, the opponent won't have time to react to the animation if they aren't waiting for it. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask anything at any time

Not at all! If they use something slower than a jab, and they're in your face, you'll get a clean flash and not a trade. That being said, of they use a slower move and are NOT in your face, flash can whiff and you can be punished. These traps are for reads on the opponent going in

What I really need to know is how I beat Yoshi flash. How do I fight when I can't take my turn?!?! Its gotten to the point that ill stop fighting him if he relies on flash, it cant be fair to have a move that does all this and is 6, 8 frames. It only bothers me when it beats my pressure, it doesnt do all the mental damage when he does it on his own offense
Well, it's -15 on block and has virtually no range, so your best bet is to bait it. You have to respect flash.

I'm having issues doing even a single flash after a -4 move even if I'm spamming the input. Is this completely skill issue? What am I doing wrong?
Which move are you using that is -4? And what is the opponent using?
@@FujinFoxTK I tried df1 for starters, my opponent was Lili using her 1 jab. I hear the flash voiceline play every time but it doesn't go off fast enough.
That being said I can see it just being a me issue as I am a really new player and I seemingly have to hit it frame perfect right?
Yeah so regular flash is 6 frames. After a blocked df1 you should be able to trade with a jab if you use 1SS flash. NSS flash will be too slow at 8 frames.

Can you flash only on heat or everytime you want?
1+4 can be used anytime. 1SS Flash is 6 frames and stubby. NSS Flash/Heat Flash is 8 frames with a little more range.

Why would you punish with flash if you already duck high? Why not do a regular combo? I am new to the game
Flash is fast enough to be able to duck a jab and launch it, or gives you plenty of time to duck within a string and launch. Most moves that launch from crouch are too slow to whiff punish some of the faster recovering moves. Also, looks stylish asf.
@@FujinFoxTK the last one is the best argument. I haven't started ducking highs yet since i cant remember all the moves and each chatacter has similar looking moves to make it harder to distinguish among them so it will take some time untill i feel the fast recovery on those, i just thought most of the time you can launch with while standing launcher if you ducked
You can if the high in question recovers slow enough, yes, but there are many moves in Tekken that recover too fast for a traditional ws launch.

Yoshi helicopter spin DGFf1+2 is -2 outside of heat and +4 in heat. He could definitely be able to interrupt something with flash between if it's slow enough.
