In the south most of us were very poor and with large hungry families biscuits and gravy was a way to fill people up when there wasn't much else, one of my mothers favorites was biscuits and redeye gravy made with left over coffee instead of milk

Was just there an hour ago! Almost always get the steak and eggs, and I've never been disappointed. Finally tried the half-pound burger and fries tonight. It was delicious, too.

All that food for only $20! That's a smokin deal! That shrimp cocktail was how it always used to be served. It's only recently that the restaurants started charging you 10 times as much for way fewer shrimp which are a bit larger. My dad used to hang his glasses like that all the time. It's so you don't drop any food on them when you eat.

I'm from AZ but live in Europe. When I ask for a prawn cocktail I get a scoop of tiny shrimp covered in some type of mayo based sauce. I only order shrimp cocktails when in the USA. I prefer the sauce.
The gravy over the biscuits should have a lot of pork sausage in it - that's the whole point!

@@dannythemedic I didnt know who you were at the time and only recently remembered seeing someone filming and wanted to see if we were in the video lol, we were. Im a local and love Coronado Cafe the other specials are pretty good too, try them out some time.
I do that thing with the glasses. I will usually hang them in the front unless I'm eating or going to the bathroom, then I will hang them in the back. It's done just as a convenient storage place when I don't need to use them.

Another great video! South Point was completely off of my radar until now. I went to Coronado Hotel's web page and was surprised to find 12 eating places, quite a lot.
😊😊😊good specials at the Coronado cafe plus the Garden Court Buffet never disappoints. $18.95 prime rib or porterhouse steak specials served 24 hours at the Coronado cafe

Hi Danny, u should try the deli at Southpoint. U were lucky the steak and eggs is hit or miss , the ham and eggs is more reliable. Most of the restaurants at Southpoint suck! The oyster bar, the buffet, regular dinner at coffee shop all sub par unfortunately. There steak house is no bargain and I got sick as a dog at the Italian place a couple of years ago. Anyway great video, like your sense of humor. Hope u were carrying in the parking lot. They try to keep it quiet, have had some problems with late night car thefts and robberies. Always watch my back when leaving late-night. Take care and be well.

i have hit this place a few times when i have a 6 or 7 am flight. even at 4 am in the morning its busy. food was ok.
I just had the steak few months ago ,, the line was very long during midnight, but there was no one waiting at 4:30am .

I would say it is a great place to eat with small comps they give me! like, if you ask the boss for 10 comp he most likely say yes!

Lmfao, i was here just now. You get what u pay for. Food was bland, low quality ingredients. Unless you are on tight budget, i dont recommend here. My opinion. My friends and I would never go back to coronado cafe again. We'll come to south point for bowling and gambling but other than that, no thank you to food.
I have also eaten at their steakhouse and their japanese place as well as their buffet... prices are accordingly higher, maybe you would like those... I myself intend to try to attend their Friday Night Seafood Buffet, the one that have a 4 hour wait.....
@@dannythemedic I shouldve been more specific. No to Coronado Cafe again. I havent tried their Asian food or the Steak and Shake, or their Big Sur Oyster bar. I wouldnt mind trying those. I am very sure they are better than Coronado Cafe. If i gamble or bowl here and get hungry, i will definitely try them out. Last night, i tried Coronado Cafe for the first time for their midnight special and left very disappointed.
