Really reminds me of Mock Tudor from the Style CD singles, almost as though that track was just stripped right back & the flute things are now just squeaky whistling things. Absolutely love it! ❤
Orbital never disapoints you can spend a day rotation listening to their records. My first impressions were the mtv videos with cgi and weird funny actors and props it was popular thing to have on your tv set back in the 90s.

With Orbital in the nineties hit charts and a bunch of other bands, there must have been a deep longing for obscure tunes that period. I can't barely comprehend, a psychotic tracks like 'the box' got embraced by the masses. These days, that sound will never make it to the top.
That is so true. The UK has always appreciated music that would never fly in the US. Orbital is still well known in the UK but barely in the US. Still, The Box had popularity in the US at that time. Not on the pop charts but people who were into the electronic scene.
