I worked at Blockbuster Video when this came out. We had a listening wall where you could buy CDs and listen to then. This was on a mix. I was BROKE at the time so evertime I got off work I would go to the wall and vibe befor walking home. My manager ended up buying me the CD a brand new portable CD player with wicked skip protection and some wicked KOSS headphones. She must have spent 350.00 bucks. I cried like a b. It was super nice. I wore the same clothing everyday to work. She took me to Walmart and bought me 4 pairs of khaki cargo pants. Some people give a F... Most fun I've ever had at a job. We had a family there. I worked there through school. I was one of the first employees and literally the last to leave the building. RIP Blockbuster Video. 😢 Great F-ing track!
@missbearlockholmes 🙏🌞🙏 prosperity is a matter of perspective, but I'm doing pretty damn good according to me lol! She died about ten years back. Good lady. She saw I had nothing and no one. She stepped up. Real Christian style. Didn't even try to get me to go to a church just helped out.
This album and this video, specifically, played no small role in my current continued existence on this planet. Paul & Phil - you guys quite literally saved my life.
I've been absorbing Orbital's music for years and never knew they made a video for "The Box". This was as awesome and thought provoking as the track itself. The fact that their music speaks volumes without actually having words (unless samples of course) has always captivated me, and very few groups can emulate the Orbital effect.
Brilliant tune and video. Orbital were a gateway to electronic music in the 90's that many of us happily took. It still holds up today, like the best music.
As a teen in the 90s, I had this video on a compilation VHS of stuff I recorded off MTV & RageTV (the Canadian version of MTV but heavy/weird stuff that came on late at night). I totally forgot this song even existed until I saw it pop up on a Spotify mix of “90s electronica”. Glad to be reacquainted.
This video was the first I’d heard of orbital something like 20 years ago on MTV’s 120 minutes, it changed my taste In music. This song and video are timeless! Thanks Phil and Paul.
I first saw this on MTV's AMP in college and was instantly hooked. I went out and bought In Sides the next day and still have that same copy to this day.
It blew my mind when I was in London two years ago, and accidentally spotted Millennium Mills while passing by on a tram. A flood of vague memories poured over me, almost as if I knew it from a dream. Took me like 5 min to remember that I know it from this video. Cut to me frantically scrambling for mobile data reception to show it to my bf. It really left an imprint on me as a teen.
Been looking for this one for sometime (since 1997). I worked at a parts department in a car garage and it would be playing on the audio system they had when I was on lunch breaks. I had a vague notion it was on The Saint soundtrack. Feels good to find something that I've been looking for, for so long!
The Box is one of my favourites. The Box Ep had a couple of extras. I think its Box 2 where theres a harsichord bit and that still gives me goosebumps when I play it.
This is such a fascinating piece of art. We’re seeing our fragile world through the eyes of a being so alien that they perceive time itself differently. And she is confused and saddened by what she sees.
Great to watch , after all these years since first buying the album it's brilliant to see a video to go with the track and what a track the box really was , it's all 90's innit
Hard to believe that this song is twenty five years old. I never saw the video, cool stuff. I keep hoping the full 26 minute-ish version will show up on UA-cam Music. Back when you could call the local radio station and talk with someone, I asked if he'd play the long version on his show sometime. He was very kind but also very clear that he couldn't do that. :)
Awesome video for awesome music. Very cool that Tulsa Swinton did this. I just watched this for the first time on the streaming service MUBI, in very high quality.
I never seen this music video. Last night i put on that mike myers show and this was on it. I had the mtv amp album when i was a youth. So dope seeing this a blast from the past
One of the things about 90s music was the lack (at the time) of genre. Without a box to put themselves into, even to avoid, artists were free to explore
This is one of those songs that makes me understand why people believe in reincarnation. It's like there's a whole world in this song and I'm on the verge of remembering it all but I never quite do.
This was used recently. Mike Myers, new show on Netflix. Cantremmber what it's called. Orbital took the helm for the music. They used samples of this track. ..... Ahh this tune brings back memories 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great F-ing track!
Great story thanks
I hope you are prospering now, and I hope she is, too.

This album and this video, specifically, played no small role in my current continued existence on this planet. Paul & Phil - you guys quite literally saved my life.

This is one of the best pieces of electronic music.
timeless clip or is it nostalgia, I can appreciate it even better than 20 years ago
Unmm, with current events. When she looks at the screens & sees "monsters exist". That's real.
This video was the first I’d heard of orbital something like 20 years ago on MTV’s 120 minutes, it changed my taste In music. This song and video are timeless! Thanks Phil and Paul.
Never knew this was Tilda Swinton! This whole album changed my life!
Right?! The minute I saw her I was like holy hell that is the actress I've seen in a few of my favorite movies.
Unbelievable. Her cool points are off the scale.
3days ago on a festival with beer and barbecue i play this song ppl were still amazed how good track is this many years pass but this stays
"She does draw power from the Dark Dimension."
Me2
This is one of my most favorite music videos ever made.
I first saw this on MTV's AMP in college and was instantly hooked. I went out and bought In Sides the next day and still have that same copy to this day.
I was this old when I learned there was a video for this track.

This song and music video changed my life. I was 13 years old at the time.
Tilda Swinton has reawakened my orbital brain receptors..she has so many faces and great actor, I didn't know it was her. 🎉
Why am I seeing this for the first time in 2024... I feel cheated.
Been looking for this one for sometime (since 1997). I worked at a parts department in a car garage and it would be playing on the audio system they had when I was on lunch breaks. I had a vague notion it was on The Saint soundtrack. Feels good to find something that I've been looking for, for so long!
What an amazing golden age of electronic music.
Music for the soul 👍🏻
Blows my mind every time I hear it as with all Orbital tracks and takes me back and away' Absolute class.
Thanks for posting this...!
The Box is one of my favourites. The Box Ep had a couple of extras. I think its Box 2 where theres a harsichord bit and that still gives me goosebumps when I play it.
This track and the whole In Sides album changed me as a person.
This is such a fascinating piece of art. We’re seeing our fragile world through the eyes of a being so alien that they perceive time itself differently. And she is confused and saddened by what she sees.
Tilda, it's stuff like this that makes us think you are actually an alien.
Great to watch , after all these years since first buying the album it's brilliant to see a video to go with the track and what a track the box really was , it's all 90's innit
Still good in 2024 ! !
The best vídeo clip of Orbital
Tilda Swinton, awesome
Hard to believe that this song is twenty five years old. I never saw the video, cool stuff. I keep hoping the full 26 minute-ish version will show up on UA-cam Music. Back when you could call the local radio station and talk with someone, I asked if he'd play the long version on his show sometime. He was very kind but also very clear that he couldn't do that. :)
This was very much needed right now. Thank you!
Awesome video for awesome music. Very cool that Tulsa Swinton did this. I just watched this for the first time on the streaming service MUBI, in very high quality.
Whats Tilda doing now, get her back on to do more!!
Reminds me something between Chemical Bros' The Private Psychedelic Reel and DJ Shadow's Midnight in the perfect world"
Thank you si much for this upload.
The best...
I never seen this music video. Last night i put on that mike myers show and this was on it. I had the mtv amp album when i was a youth. So dope seeing this a blast from the past
Oh awesome
A pivotal song & video for me in the 90s. I knew at that time I was the only person I knew that knew of this awesome treasure.
This and chime are orbitals 2 best tracks....
whoa. never know about this video for one of my favorite songs! Im going to steal this technique for sooner than later haha
I remember when this premiered on mtv in the early 90’s
Maybe 95 or so, shit bumped in the clubs too

PLEASE, in HD!. This is a masterpiece.
One of the things about 90s music was the lack (at the time) of genre. Without a box to put themselves into, even to avoid, artists were free to explore
Awsome track and video ❤️❤️❤️
This is one of those songs that makes me understand why people believe in reincarnation. It's like there's a whole world in this song and I'm on the verge of remembering it all but I never quite do.
This is so good
3:20 Remember earth clearly. Plastics never disintegrate. Still rings true.
Thank you!
She moves like the evil surgeon in The House on Haunted Hill remake.
the best of the best
This was used recently. Mike Myers, new show on Netflix. Cantremmber what it's called. Orbital took the helm for the music. They used samples of this track.

Daring Revolutionary Anthem!
Моя любимая, коробка.
Gracias
Tilda! 🥰
I’ve loved this song since I was a wee one. First time I’ve ever seen this. Tilda is my woman crush.
This was my first Vinyl ! 😍😍😍
Still love this song. and video. great work
unglaubliches Lied.
Cool!!!
Great years with great music 🎵
Another song that is very relevant to 2024. The message of the video made in 96' pretty much describes of the current evil that's taking place today.
i thought i didnt like electronic music until i happened upon the In Sides album. mind blown.
In sides is Orbital's opus magnum
La amo‼️
Why do I remember this video having anime instead of Tilda Swinton in a shower cap?
simply high sense sounds impress on me every time
it's all
i wants 2U
THIS LOOK HARD TO FILM!
Wo Tango 😁
The greatest actress in the world imo.
2:55 this climax gives me chills still 😍
Πολύ μπροστά......
GRAZIE!
I remember watching this a gazillion times but us that Kate Blanchett?
This should have been on Trainspotting?? 😎😈
*Tilda Swinton* is still the *BEST* thing (or traveler) of this video! imo, of course...
LPMLPM💙☮️🎵
FInally, a higher quality transfer was made available! Was this sourced from the VHS packaged with the UK Promo package for In Sides CD?
Love it!~Love it!~Love it!!!
Cobrin - USSR Inspired Director 2/8/1942 7/10/1999
3:47 and that's how the album got its name?
Cooles Musik Video
Das ist doch Tilda Swinton!?
