I honestly think his 50 free in Beijing was his #1 race, mainly because it was a much bigger deal and he showed a lot more emotion after that race than any of the others.

Much of the emotion is due to the fact that it was Brazil's first olimpic gold medal in swimming ever!
I would exclude the 50m freestyle race from Rome 2009, and put the 4x100m medley relay in the 2014 World Swimming Championships (25m) in Doha, where he entered 4th place, and made Brazil win gold with a time 1 second faster than Ryan Lochte. He passed over Lochte like it was nothing. It was the best relay Cielo did in his life.

To clarify the drug charges against Cielo, they were for having to much caffeine in his system, from caffeine pills that were medicated.
The conclusion of the urine test was that the athletes’ urine was not dilluted at all. This is different than saying that there was a “low level of concentration of furosemide.” Saying that the urine was not dilluted means that regardless of the level of furosemide, it had absolutely no masking affect on the urine tests, so if the athletes were using it to cover up any illegal substances, those substances would have shown up on the test as well.The “short half-life” of furosemide that has often been cited further enhances this idea. If furosemide breaks down that quickly, but still had trace elements in the urine, then that means it had to have been taken fairly shortly before the test. But if it was taken shortly before the test, but still did not dillute the urine, there was clearly no attempt at a coverup.FINA did not dispute any of the facts in the case, but requested a 3-month ban solely on the basis of the idea that athletes are responsible for whatever they put in their bodies

Cielo was the bronze medalist on the 100m, he was gold on the 50m. Cielo has 3 Olympic medals, gold on the 50m and bronze on the 100m both on 2008 and a bronze on the 50m on 2012.

Lol he won 4 World titles (2 50 free, 2 50 fly) on textile, he held the fastest 50 free time on textile for over a year, also got a bronze medal at the Olympics and won a bunch of short course world titles (like 6 or so) on textile. Those medals were all after the aledged dopping incident as well, wich lets make it clear, he was cleared of any charges. You are delusional Cielo is one of the best sprinters ever and he is still the world record holder.
