The executive branch does not have the authority to make laws, nor does it have the authority to redefine words to effectively change the law.
Just like the Judicial Branch. But, "progressive" elements still want to "interpret" the laws rather than following them.
There's no other option besides completely dismantling the ATF forever!
Exactly 💯
Defund the ATF.
@@exdemocrat9038 The problem with that is unless we strike down all gun laws the power the ATF has will go to the FBI which would be worse than the ATF.
He should be held in contempt of Congress for failing to answer the questions as put forth to him. He was chosen for arrogance and not for technical ability.
He can go to jail for obstruction
i dont believe hes ever fired a weapon in his life.
He needs to be fired and replaced with a real American citizen.
Not just him but everyone who dances around the question being asked that is there to answer questions put before them.
@John Kranig does that include those on the Right who do not answer questions. Republicans did it with Democats.
"... is your primary as ATF Director to catch criminals who break the law or to change the law to create new criminals?" Great question!!! She nailed it! 👍😊👏👏
The ATF needs to pay for ALL the costs of court proceedings that have to hear their unconstitutional rules.
The U.S. Constitution is not to be superseded .
Conservatives believe in ‘Rule of Law’ based on the Constitution; whereas the DEMs believe in ‘Rule’ and making up any law to ensure their complete control.
seems to me it is being. so hows that working out for you?
@@adamnichols476 We’ll see how it ‘works out’ when they come to enforce it. Btw, the right to keep and bear arms has zero to do with the Constitution, legislators or courts. Though we’ve allowed decades of illegal regulation, this right is God-given, not subject to anyone’s consent.
The us constitution is just words on a paper now. They carry no weight or value.
The UN/WHO, and WEF are actively working to do just that. Watch out for the WHO global pandemic preparedness treaty, and/or Biden-favored amendments to International Health Regulations (2005). It's all being done stealthily, and it seems Biden's going to try to sign a treaty without the constitutionally-required approval of 2/3 of the US Senate. Sovereignty of the nation-state is being surrendered to an international governing body.
Yes! The executive branch should be enforcing laws, not creating more of them. Right on! Thank you, Rep. Hageman!
They _are_ enforcing them - That's what this whole discussion is about: They re-define terms and interpret the laws to enforce them unjustly.
@@UnitSe7en .....you need to continue with this idea to its full conclusion...that what they redefine and interpret are creating more "laws"...only they are NOT laws created by our legislative branch....and as she stated sometimes are in direct opposition to the laws Congress created. That's the same problem he has....he can't follow thru with the logical idea to its full fruition.
@@W8RIT1 That's what I said. They're not creating laws. Stop thinking because you're not very good at it.
The executive branch is tasked with running the country, within the laws that apply. Enforce those laws with discretion, to best serve the peace, prosperity and justice the people who elect leaders, deserve.
Those leaders appoint dept heads, confirmed by congress, given a budget, and duties.
Congress passed law giving atf the say on federal policy regarding alcohol, tobacco and firearms. And products linked to the purpose.
@@UnitSe7en I suggest you take your own advice. They are creating new laws. By creating new rules that change the scope of existing statutes they create a new laws. Even though the original statute remains unchanged it's scope has not. This creates in effect a new law. This is not about interpretation this is scope expansion and that is how they are being overturned as only Congress can expand the scope of these laws.
“Is your priority to catch criminals that break the law, or change policy to create criminals” she absolutely nailed it
These bureaucrats need to be held responsible for their actions. They circumvent the law and they are not reprimanded for it. Thank you Congresswoman.
They do and he needs to be charged with perjury 3:20
I live in Wyoming. I voted for this woman. I'm glad I did. You go girl
Thank You. Excellent choice of representation! 👍
So happy you ran the Lizard out! Wyoming rocks!
Thank u. Nice to see a someone who's not an idiot up there
Excellent choice! She's amazing, thank you WY!
Thank you from a mere subject of The People’s Republic of Washington State. Home of state sanctioned child abuse and rabid irresponsibility in service to political virtue signaling. Shame on us but thank you.
There needs to be a day of reckoning and anyone who has violated our Constitutional Rights need to be punished to send a clear message!
Elected or unelected
Totally agreed. That would involve 99.9% of the government
Seeing their colleagues heads on spikes is the only thing that may make them think twice about implementing the globalists policies of disarming america
18 U.S.C. § 241

Get Rid of the ATF.
I had to watch this several times. She moves up with Ron Paul as a truth teller. We need more of her.
Rep. Hageman is looking VERY Presidential in this hearing...
You really put her in the same class as Ron Paul, come on now, this woman make more sense that Paul will ever have in his pinky finger
❤
@@tonyrebel63 gonna have to elaborate on that
Love how this guy keeps talking about what he's supposed to be doing rather than what he actually does.
Ms. Hageman wiped the floor with this guy!
Congresswoman 👍 👍!!
I doubt if he has ever fired a bump stock, that is an absolute lie he was unable to fire just one round! The Congress really just needs to toss out the NFA!
If I was corrupt government I'd be scared of the people if they had gun's so I can see why they want them only in their hands.
100% agree
Ya push left hand back instead of forward one round.
It's not even that hard the original bump stocks had a lever that wouldn't let it "bump" or move in the stock so you could fire it like a normal rifle.
He made an admission when he said he fired a firearm with a bump stock , he based the ATF's ruling only on his experience and feelings , it didnt come from congress. Again, the ATF making up rules for the general public that are law abiding.........they are attacking America not criminals or the cartels and certainly not Hunter.
These hearings are singlehandedly restoring my faith in humanity
DEFUND AN PROSECUTE THE ATF AN GARLAND
What a Congresswoman!! We need about 300+ more just like her.
She made him mad with the truth.
He sounds more like a spoiled brat than a grown man.
I think everyone needs to go back and watch what he said at 3:22 and really think about it he possibly committed perjury.
Yes and a narcissists!
The problem is creating these agencies and giving them regulatory authority. Once you let a bunch of bureaucrats loose they will run a mock. Congress needs to reel in the authority they give all, three letter agencies (ATF, IRS, FBI, CIA, etc.).
Federal Reserve, CDC, FDA, DHS, NSA....
The problem is what happens behind closed door, and VERY quietly. Things like 'natural disasters' or 'mass shootings' (or other red herrings) serve to blind the public from other policies...
Did Biden relinquish authority over America, to the WHO/UN, during pandemics? Are we in the midst of WWIII --- we did blow up the NordStream.
Congress shirks their responsibility and gives or allows the executive branch to have these powers they do not have, Congress has constantly given the executive power they do not have and it's disgusting
Amen..
40 fucking years of micro chip damn near murder and heinous abuse
If i remember there was a supreme couut case that said congress didnt have the authority to delegate regulations to unelected people but there was a later decision the other way around. We are seeing exactly why every law should be put to a vote by our legislature and not by unelected 3letter agencys that are immune to any consequences
Abolish the NFA, GCA and defund the ATF!
The point really isn't to get him to answer your question, simply getting him to refuse to answer directly is all we need to see.
This has to be one of the greatest ass kicking in a hearing I've seen in a long time. "Is your job to catch criminals or change laws to create more criminals?" The ATF's tyranny has gone on for far too long.
Wow! The only person to make real progress in exposing this power grab.
ATF is only suppose to uphold the laws that are on the books, not creating and interpreting their own laws. That is why the ATF should be dismantled.
The problem with ATF is that they are tasked with violating the Bill of Rights. They also suborn entering into conspiracy to treat people as pre-criminals to the network of private FFLs as gate-keepers to access to firearms.
The whole firearms regulation system is an illegal scheme where the people have to beg permission from the FBI NICS center in DC to exercise their right to purchase a new firearm.
Neither of these secret police existed at the time of the founding, and the very nature of their mandates is unconstitutional relative to the Bill of Rights and inalienable rights described by the founders.

Needs carved in stone somewhere
I have a feeling that other governmental agencies tend to do this same thing, i.e.: pass new laws, or re-interpret existing laws. Imagine what the IRS has been doing, that no one talks about! That is what I find scary!
He was practically cowering and trying to find an answer and when he couldn't, he kept repeating his canned response. The fact that he could not simply say "yes" or "no" just proves that it's an agenda, not a law.
He didn't even know that Cargill was no longer "Pending"...
Thank you Rep. Harriet Hageman!
Good job Harriet!
I love her comment about making new regulations to create new criminals versus ATF focusing on the real criminals.
Nailed it!
Did that man just say "I fired a bumpstop today and it's impossible to fire only one round."? Talk about misinformation and most likely a blatant lie as well. And he's the head of what now???
She's from Wyoming. She knows he's a liar, lol. 3 guns for every 1 person in WY. Watch a partisan hack try to tell us how firearms work.
Not to mention that it was an irrelevant opinion.

@@Andromedon777 Welcome to the future my friend, LOL.
You know that also is perjury and people should get on Congress about that. That the head of FBI is commiting crimes.
"are you capable of directly answering a question?"
"We are following the laws enacted by Congress..."
It is SO cathartic to see the literal embodiment of what's wrong with our government getting absolutely raked over the coals by Congressmember after Congressmember.
Rep. Hageman, fast emerging on my radar, asking the right questions. Rules/laws are the province of the legislative branch, per the Constitution. Executive branch bureaucracies need to stay in their f'ing lane.
Where is she from or what district does she represent
@@TheRealZJE313 She replaced Liz Cheney in Wyoming. There's only one district, one rep.
@@jamescalvin902 o ok thanks for the INFO
Best question ever asked
actually the best questions that could be asked are just what percentage of murders in this country are committed with SBRs, rifles with bump stocks and Rifles with pistol braces? The number is incredibly low. According to the fbi's 2019 statistics (oddly no newer ones that might show the lie in all of this) some number less than 5.25% of the total murders committed with rifles, when the weapon is known. These rifles being a subset of all rifles but not broken down in the stats.
Is this the same guy who said he’s not a weapons expert? 🤨
He's just a stooge
He reminds me of Fred Flintstone 😂
Yes he said he wasn’t an expert in any of the things the “aft” regulates , but he is from a certain very small demographic that finds its way into power
"It is impossible to fire just 1 round"
Well, that is called smelling freedom, no one can stop with just 1 round my guy.

She only revealed what's already there....😎
The ATF isn't the only three letter agency that's pulling this trick. As a RC modeler, we were assured that we were not to be touched, the FAA is now charging us a tax on each model airplane I build, in a registration fee and setting minimum ages at which we can start teaching our kids how to fly. It's killing our hobby, as kids turn to other activities. All of the three letter agencies need a swift overhaul, and made to comply with the Constitution, and make it plain that the president can't change this at his whim.
I'm glad to see someone fired up about Gov over reach and the problems it causes for Every citizen.
The problem however is us. We can't get passed our own needy details long enough to focus on a common goal much less execute a strategy and achieve it .
The true leaders of the world know/understand this and are Always willing to put aside their Morals, ideals and feelings to achieve their goal, which usually involves keeping the rest of us in control. Until we play the game by their rules, we will be regulated into submission.😢
@@noonespecial9840 The other problem we have is voter apathy, "Oh well, he or she, the incumbent, seems to be doing OK, we'll vote for them again, not realizing that person is the worst of the worst. Or the very problem we need to eliminate.
If we don't stop this and the politicizing of our justice system, we'll lose every once of our freedom. This nonsense of global warming, it brings in to the deep state, $75 Million a day in grants, taxes, donations, all in the name of stopping something that doesn't need stopping. It's not Socialism we should be fearing, its Feudalism, going back four or five hundred years to when we were the serfs to the local royals, they want to carve up the planet into their own parcels and we'll be their slaves.
I prefer the FAA over most other organizations though. I believe it's currently an issue of leadership! Many of these recent regulations have slashed all the aviation classes I took in high school. Noe my high school has only one of its four aviation classes, and even then it's a shared class with the it/coding and computer engineering classes
@@EdibleFuture A good number of the pilots, I knew in the Air Force, (40 yrs. ago), went into the Air Force, after flying model airplanes as kids. So did many of the airline pilots, I flew model aircraft with. With the restrictions on age that the FAA has now put-on radio-controlled models, where are they going to get the next generation of pilots from? It's that love of model flying that takes a good percentage of modelers, the next step, from ground pilot to private pilot, to airline or into the military and flying for the military. I remember flying RC or Control-line models near or on base, and have pilots come watch and talk about flying them when they were growing up. To me, the FAA is shooting themselves in foot for the next generation of pilots. I raced RC planes and every time I had a race against one of the top pilot's son, a nine-year old, he beat me, I joked it was embarrassing to lose to someone that young. He'd be excluded from flying due to his age. I started at five building models with my dad, RC by fifteen, competitive in my twenties. If they can't fly until their 17 or 18, it's too late to build the skills they need to fly or build models, so they only fly already built models, and never learn the skills to build from kits or plans. Many RC pilots have gone on to build wooden full-size aircraft and fly big planes, while still enjoying models. I'm in my early seventies and still carry the love of building and designing my own competition models. Keep the FAA out of model aviation, let us pass our passion for flying our way, to younger members.
They don't want the kids to learn to fly rc planes until they have endocrine them into believing the way the left wants them to so they can control anyone that can fly a drone, total control, that is what they are trying to do to the kids in school today, anything the parent tells them is BS they should only believe what they are taught in school, Government wants total control, sounds kinda like socialist doesn't it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You go, girl!!
God Bless this woman🇺🇲🇺🇲
Good job! Mrs.Congresswomen.She nailed him!
Wow she tore him apart
Trying to?
It’s already done!
This guy really thinks it's his job to interpret law.
Get him out of there. He's an appointee. Get him out!!!
"or to change the laws to create new criminals". She nailed it right there. Thank you Rep. Harriet Hageman for saying what the intentions of the ATF really are as it pertains to the brace rule and other arbitrary rules they come up with.
Yes Their long term solution to gun ownership is no body but ATF will own guns!!
This man just said it’s impossible to fire a single shot with a bump stock. And nobody is going to call him out on it. Sad.
Or charger him with the crime of perjury. He will shut down a gun store that's been open 20 years for a mistake not even made by them I say he should be charged for knowingly trying to lie.
That’s the heart of the matter: Is the priority of the ATF to catch those who break the law or to change the law to create new criminals? He would not answer.
The overreach by the ATF & FBI under this administration has been appalling. Those responsible for making these so called rules must be fired and lose their benefits at the very least.
That would make more sense than actual government actions designed to coerce healthcare workers who refuse to follow arbitrary and unsafe mandates, such as COVID-19 "vaccination" injections.
Mrs Harriot is kicking butt. Executive branch does not have the authority to make laws. I don't need your protection I can protect myself. 2A is Absolutely Absolute.
There is absolutely NO MISTAKE, he is anything but a self absorbed narcissistic attorney. I rest my case, with all due respect
Hi actually kinda committed perjury when he said he shot a gun with a bump stock and there is absolutely no way to just fire one round.
I love it when people say "with all due respect", because it really means "kiss my ass". And he sure doesn't deserve respect.

Appointed vs. Voted is a dangerous game. Allowing someone who is appointed to act as if they were voted in is near criminal

These witnesses' inability to answer a simple yes or no question always amazes me. I could never sit in that chamber and do that job because I'd have an attitude every single day, these people get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, some even more, drive upscale fancy cars, wear the latest designer suits and jewelry and watches, live in these large mansion like homes, own boats and can do all types of recreational things at their leisure, all this yet and still none of them can ever answer a simple YES or NO question and that seriously infuriates me!!!
THATS HOW THEY GOT WHERE THEY ARE “ SPIN “.!
Yes absolutely
He straight up lied about it being impossible to fire one round with a bump stock equipped firearm....
GET RID OF THE ATF!!
I appreciate the hearings and whatnot, but I don't see why Congress is playing with them.
Withhold all funding until they get back in their lane. Shouldn't take long.
This clown said he "fired a bump stock"
Does he also fire his red dot?
Hageman is my new favorite member of Congress! This is only the 2nd video I’ve seen, and she’s great. The 1st was when she grilled someone on energy policy.
Also, there apparently is not 1 person who works for Biden who is not a 100% weasel.
Empty seats in the hearing shows the true interest in our Constitution.
That joker doesn't know what he's even talking about.
Keep showing the disdain for congress . Shut these agencies down
You would think that answering a question with a yes or no would be easier than trying to justify your opinion
You don't need a bump stock to bump fire a rifle, and nobody ever mentions that.
Happy to see Forbes publishing these videos 👍
Congress has the authority to right laws, and the job of the court is to interpret. The executive branch has the job of enforcement, but he said that executive branch agencies are also interpreting laws.
The ATF's prime focus is, & always has been, tax revenue.
Now that IRS enforcement has been given the funds they need, the ATF is redundant. They should be disbanded.
Lol, government cutting away dead weight. That's funny. What planet are you from where this actually happens?
Please add the other 90% of government. Pray!
This. Time to disband the ATF.
She is savage in this!!!
Dig those nails in. More of this.
Anyone just listening to little parts of these hearings needs to try and free up some extra time while gaming/cleaning/driving to really listen to the whole hearings. It's easier than it has ever been to find these videos. I think it's been made abundantly clear none of us can rely on the news media to deliver that information, we must seek it out ourselves and take back our responsibilities as free citizens.
totally DONE with MSM...Tucker was the only one that I would tune to.....Not anymore
You're right, it is our responsibility to actually listen to what our legislators are doing. If you can't be bothered to do such a simple thing you shouldn't bother to vote!
