Bellingham is one of those towns that is easy to pass while driving down I-5 because you really can't see it from the interstate. Once our friend Mason reached out asking to grab coffee together if we ever passed through town, we finally had a reason to stop and see for ourselves what Bellingham was all about. I live in PA, but my uncle and his family live in Bellingham! Seeing the market, your hike, etc make me want to go back again, jealous! I’ve been twice but I’ll never get my fill of Bellingham/Fairhaven!

I just drove to Artist's Point today and couldn't believe the beauty! The drive there was short, fun, and so so scenic. Bellingham has impressed me this weekend. Thanks for showing some good places to see in town

😱Nobody told us that!! 😂We didn't come across any nude bathers that day. lol
me and my class went on a field trip there in 5th grade and boy were we in for a surprise!

Well done! You did it right. We have some additional breweries worth checking out like Kulshan and Wander, and we try to get our clients exploring the area to spend plenty of time checking out Fairhaven and Barkley Village as well!

Wow, I have lived here in Bellingham for two years now, apparently under a rock, because I have never been to Acme donuts, definitely going soon to try out that bacon one!!

Too funny, you show my car (the red beetle convertible) at the Farmer's Market, I was there that day, too! Great video although you didn't capture some of the other fantastic places in our town, like Woods Coffee by the sea in Boulevard Park, Taylor Dock, historic Fairhaven (really surprised your friend didn't show you that, such a cool part of town), Marine Park and the Alaska Ferry Terminal. Alas, I guess there is only so much you can do in a couple of days. Safe onwards travels :)
No way!! It’s such a small world, isn’t it? He did show us boulevard park and fairhaven (both of which are awesome), unfortunately we didn’t get enough footage at those places because we were enjoying them so much! 🙈 I’m working on a blogpost now and those places will DEFINITELY be featured there. ☺️

I’m thinking it probably looks like the area right around Anaheim packing district, but like the whole TOWN is like that 😂..kinda that modern old industrial, foodie, hipster, geek vibe..which I LOVE 🤓 😂. Like it’s many things packed into one. If you’ve never been to packing district, it’s a must do!

My brother is from Bellingham and we went to visit him this summer. I INSTANTLY fell in love and I am hopefully (fingers crossed) going to move there next year! :)

It's funny... I've lived all over this blue ball we call home, and when I got the call my family needed me, I packed up my van and moved to Bellingham... Now that I've been here for almost two years, and I see fellow vanlifers (believe me I see a ton working at an auto parts store), I long to take my van back on the road... But for now, when I'm not at work, I'm taking care of my father and the property he can no longer maintain... Not that I mind it, but I miss putting miles on my van and experiencing more life, than day to day working from 7am to 5pm five days a week, and taking care of my father from 5.30pm to 11.30pm... 😌 okay, back to work! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos to fill my longing for adventure! 🍺🤠🍿
Whatcom Falls is a must when visiting Bellingham and our local coffee roasters and shop Tony's coffee

So many people from store clerks to a hallmark movie producer have told me to go there. I’m in love and never even have been there yet.
From the UK, I have stayed in Bellingham three times now. A visit to the Colophon Cafe with the murals outside on the walls, you missed. Their pea soup is to die for, even on a hot day. You missed a treat. I dined there three times in June

This is my home! Moved here in 96’ started middle school and moved away at age 18 and came back! Everyone says it’s a curse “the bham curse” once you come, you always end up back here haha! Also say goodbye to Rocket Doughnut, they just shut down 😞

@@chrisandsara It's hard for small businesses (or anyone for that matter) to make it in Bellingham. I've lived here for 20 years and seen a lot of really wonderful establishments fail and go out of business, and I've had a lot of friends move away because it got too expensive to live here relative to the money they were able to make living here. Housing costs are well above the state and national average, and wages are below the state and national average. As nice as Bellingham is, the economy here is kind of a disaster. If you want to live here, you'd better have money from somewhere else -- and if you want to open a business all I can say is good luck.

GenuineArticle71 we actually had permission from the city! We had to call air traffic control and everything.
This made me miss home so much that I booked a flight right away for Bellingham. Our little town is growing and I’m so glad more people get to experience bham more and more. I hope the bellinghamsters didn’t scare you too much, much love ❤️

Our favourite over the border place to visit when we want a USA fix
I live about 1 1/2 hour from Bellingham last year I went and stayed in a house on the water near there with my sisters and my mom. The highlight of our time in Bellingham was the awesome food. Boomers drive in and La Faimma Wood fire pizza and the mall is really big lol 😂 next time I will have to explore a bit more and should try to make it out to artist point!
There’s so much to see, isn’t there? Such a great town. Lots of outdoor things and food (aka our kind of town 😉).

Which trail did you do at Artist Point?
I actually can’t remember but I do know it left from the west side of the parking lot. It wasn’t very long but did a loop around the little peak next to the parking lot. I know that’s vague but hopefully it helps! All of the trails up there are 💯 though! ☺️

Bellingham natives: I’ve been wanting to go to Bellingham for years (for the orcas, San Juan Islands etc) but it’s always so expensive. Do you all fly in/out of Seattle or Bellingham?? Seattle is way less expensive. What would y’all recommend? Or another airport altogether?
Vancouver airport is closer to Bellingham than Seattle.

That's a good way of putting it. It really is an underrated gem, and that's why I love it so much. It seems to have a perfect balance between "urban" city life, youthfulness, and nature. I'm considering transferring to WWU.

@@ritewaydave164 got a job waiting. Got 2k+for rent. Got 30k+cash reserves this town earns it's rank as number 8most expensive in the USA. There's an old maxim I just made up. You see as many people coming to Bellingham as leaving. The homelessness per capital is high and heartbreaking.

I've lived in bham more off than on since 1980. I ve been back since 8/2020. Bellingheaven if you can afford it. No one will rent you unless you have a job that pays enuff to afford housing here. Rooms start at 600mo. Come now as some are available but will soon vanish with the college students return. This place is liberal if you are wealthy or poor enough to qualify to get on long waiting lists for affordable housing. It took me a little over five years to get the call and I struggle but it is so damn worth it. Bellingham gets socialism
And with that, us Californians will flock there, drive up prices and ruin it 😂

Hi Clyde, I understand you didn’t like the video and that’s totally fine. I don’t want to try and change your mind. However I do want to point out that we had permission from both the city and the airport to get those drone shots. It sounds to me like you’re from the Bellingham area and I wanted to say that I’m sorry you were offended by the video but I am NOT sorry we filmed it or stopped through Bellingham. We had a wonderful time and it’s such a great little town!

Hey! Great video This is a spot I'm thinking of moving. But would love some feedback. I am a single young 20s and not into drinking nightlife, but love hanging out with people and having campfires, and hiking, and going to cute dates for tacos haha. Is there an atmosphere for that here? I'll be moving from a literal island haha thats been pretty isolated so ready for social interaction.
Hey there, great question! Since we really have never lived in Bellingham and the decision of where to live is so personal it may be hard for us to answer that question! Bellingham has a lot of great trails, beautiful scenery and cute coffee shops. We really loved our time there but just can't quite answer what it's like to live there!
