    Thomas and Drew are the best Club reviewers on UA-cam . hardly any of us have the swing that Thomas does but his consistency in his swing gives us a great comparison between all the clubs .

    You guys got the wrong flex in the AutoFlex. As long as you don’t break it the data looks fine but AutoFlex company warns not to swing faster than the recommended speeds due to the thin walls in shaft. The SF505X speed range is 100-110mph, lucky you guys didn’t break it and should be using the SF505XX 110-120mph swing speed especially with your quick transition Thomas. When I tested it you can clearly feel the step transitions in the mid part of the shaft almost reminds me of the DG spinner shaft. The shaft design is interesting and since you guys tested the 505X at 220cpm with a finish build length of 46’” would put it in a senior flex category but a stiff enough tip for the stability for the designed speed range. I got the same max driver speed with the AutoFlex as my tour ad vr and are both the same length shaft but higher ballspeed with the tour ad due to better strike pattern. It was easier to maintain top speed with the AutoFlex as fatigue set in due to weight so my next experiment experiment is to go down 2-3 flexes try to find the stiffest tip regular flex shaft and tip it 2” which make it a stiff flex but it would still be a softer flex than what I’m fitted into and see if I can gain ease of speed like the auto flex but retain better strike control of my tour ad. Just curious if anyone has experimented with this yet.

    Nice job hitting so many drivers and trying to summarize such a com-lex set of options let alone if one tweaked them viz lofts, shafts etc. enjoyed it.

    Love watching you guys. Something I think a lot of us would love to see. I would love to see the numbers for each driver optimized for your swing. Maybe its a different shaft for each head? I want to see what each driver can do when its fitted and then compare the numbers. Everyone tests the stock shafts but no one tests the drivers if fitted for optimal performance. This would be a great test!

    That video was great, guys. Quick questions for you:
    - Any notable differences between Rogue ST Max LS and last year’s Epic Max LS? Head shape about the same? Launch, spin, forgiveness? It looks like it's maybe moved closer to last year's Epic Speed but it's hard to tell.
    - What’s the most forgiving current-model driver head out there, not including the draw versions? Anything today match the G425 Max without having that heavy head that Ping uses?

      I have the same type question. Replacing my Ping i20 and very interested in these. But, do these offer advantages over last years models.

    I question your ears on the sound of the Cobra heads. LOUD , C'mon man, everyone but you are saying the sound is great, muted . Loud they are saying it sounds like the F 9 and that surely was not loud. Plus the Cobra LTD LS is even muted more than the others . But of the 3 brands , which one did you like best . Stealth , Rogue , LTD .

    I’m currently an 8.4 index. I want to replace my old Ping i20 driver with the Cobra. My question is, should I go LTDx or LTDxLS? My club head speed hovers around 105 and my miss is generally a fade or push to the right.

    • @kjm0227
      @kjm0227 2 роки тому

      Get fit and see what works best. The LS has adjustability to put more weight in the heel to decrease a left to right shape which is nice. Worked for me and I’m just about 105-107 mph swing with typical miss right myself.

  • @APRNVJ

    Do head to head with fitted shafts in each driver heads. I put Hzrdus Rdx Blue 6.5 in both Stealth and LTDx Ls, didn't work with the Cobra but the Stealth worked really well.

    @Thomas : Is there any negatives to the All Fit adapters vs using the stock OEM adapters? Can the lie be increased upright like the OEM adapters? Any problem using it permanently on ones daily driver shaft in order to test out different heads throughout the year? Do you use the All Fit adapter on your daily shaft?

    whoever asked if the speedzone was still relevant? absolutely!! i started with cobra with the speedzone extreme and now i have the RAD speed and i smash balls further than my buddies who are hitting SIM2 MAX drivers and the callaway MAVRIK and my RAD speed is sooo much more forgiving even when i hit a bad shot or swing out of my socks it hardly fades into real danger. I need to get fitted.

    Using the same shaft in every driver doesn't really make any sense because it's going to fit some heads better than others. All the head weights are different, so it's going to completely change the dynamics from head to head.

    He needs a 10.5 degree , Hitting it to low spin . 10 degree or higher for him , He is lunging and can't hit up on the ball.

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  2 роки тому +2

      The driver was set to 7.5* at the end. I actually need less loft to bring the flight down. 120-140 feet in the air is too high. The fact that the spin is low is really helping. You will notice that the attack angle is 6* up I don't need to hit up on the ball anymore. - Thomas

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  2 роки тому +1

      I tried a 10* driver to purely straighten out the driver but I left serious distance on the table hitting it too the moon. I regularly play 9* but if chasing distance drop to 7.5-8* due to hitting up on the ball so much. - Thomas

    • @chuckross8839
      @chuckross8839 2 роки тому +1

      @@2ndswing I 120-140 feet in the air with 1500 spin ? You need lower loft ? I don't see that. When I see Bryson hitting high , his spin is too high not too low.
      Your hitting up 6 degrees . I just don't see how it can be so low of spin at the high of a shot. It's got to be your delivery . Or that shaft is messed up for you.
      The Auto flex at least kept the spin respectable. But your swing is tight , which throws off the suppleness needed in the golf swing. Free it up and not so crunched up in your finish.
