- It makes me so unbelievably happy to know that i exist in a time where i got to experience the queer fairy tale moment i always dreamed of :’)
the classic disney scores are the stuff of absolute magic and i couldn’t help but see this scene with the music from the little mermaid! i remember seeing this scene when i was younger, and feeling that untouchable joy in Ariel’s eyes. the sun illuminating her from behind. that shimmering blue dress, seeing her arms stretched out to be reunited with her love. it’s one of the most beautiful moments in film to me and i feel all of the same things when i saw Luz and Amity reunite. with so much relief in their eyes knowing that they’re together again that they cry and smile at the same time. both moments are so beautiful and i wanted to capture that essence of what i saw in my head. And you deserve to feel like i did. believing in a happy ending because you know that hearts like theirs deserve it

@@Uta_Chandra.H oh yeah I totally agree, a lot of times we don't get good rep because we are desperate for any rep at all given the large lack of it, also corporations often bottleneck the process by not allowing for good rep due to biogted systems in place that are there to prevent any rep at all, so when it does get through, it is a lot of the times butchered and contorted in order to still conform to hetero society

I always loved how that scene in the show felt as close to fairy tale as it got. Luz literally goes onto the balcony like a hero in a 90s Disney movie and reunites with their love interest, complete with a spin hug into a kiss. You kept the animation consistent from that episode as well, Luz being surprised after realizing she was being kissed and then kissing back as one example. This was fantastic to watch, thank you.

Love how music from the little mermaid is used. Considering the original story that the movie adapted was an allegory for how a queer man was struggling with unrequited love, seeing a Disney queer couple celebrate their own blossoming romance feels like a wonderful natural conclusion for HC Andersen.

Okay, but really, when Amity looks happy when Luz is here at 0:25, it looks like Ariel- I swear it does! This is so fluid and beautiful. Looks kinda like The Little Mermaid in subtle ways, and even has that as background music. This is AMAZING.

As a fellow animator there's literally no words for how absolutely gorgeous this is, this made me experience the screaming, kicking joy that the original scene invoked- but with the BEAUTIFULLY done animation it just kicks it into the stratosphere (positive). You should be so, so proud of this, because it's an absolutely gorgeous thing you've made.
That little stumble at 0:45 is so much like the end of "The Looking Glass Ruins" where Luz literally falls to her knees

I love the use of the music to express the emotions and actions. Usually, Disney animators who worked on either or both Fantasias used this little trick. So, that is straight up impressive! Besides that, the animation is smooth and it has a little Disney style to it! Keep this up!

Lumity might be the best cartoon couple of all time. Not just LGBT couple. Just any couple period. I love everything about them from just adorable they are together to just how amazing their “enemies to lovers” arc was handled to just how well they communicate as a couple even after getting into arguments. Every single thing about them is 10/10.
