@@volvo9051 I wasn't there in the evening and not a drinker but I did visit Owen Roes pub/bar where Rory lived up above for a short spell. I would venture to think it being a small town it wouldn't have a night club like we have here in America.

I went in 2019. If I lived there I’d go every year! Very fun and lovely little town. I live in Oregon on the eastern side. I always watch the videos people make now when they are there

When you meet JJ Cale for a chat, after his concert, then you discover Rory was only sitting a few seats away from you at the same concert, also enjoyn JJ. and suddenly in the middle of the chat with JJ, Rory Gallagher arrives outta the blue and joins in to ask JJ. about the electrics set up in his old Harmony custom gtr. The memory of that JJ concert stays with you forever..What a night...Rory, and JJ..rip..

I saw him open for the Kinks at the Hollywood Palladium and once at the Whiskey. Saw him play a tele for the encore. How cool.

The Irish people won't see you out in the cold..You will find a roof...
There's a campsite, hotel in ballyshannon is booked out but if you manage to get one in bundoran its not far away and will be plenty of public transport over the weekend

As a Rory Gallagher fan I find the whole thing embrasassing.
It may be good for local commerce but I personally cannot think of anything more hideous than having to watch/listen to a lot of pretenders cashing in on Rory's memory. There will never be another.
