Good video and production. If you had a C spanner you could drill a hole in it as near as possible to the peg and then file flats within the new hole to the same dive your torque wrench is, ie 3/8 or 1/2
Stasks mac.....I love comments like yours because they always get me running back to the manuals. I live surrounded by a sea... of uncertainty. So I checked the CX500 manual....no washer above the lower bearing. Then the GSXR600 manual.....no washer above the lower bearing. The All Ball guides.....does not cater for such a large difference in bearing height with a non stock lower triple. So then I have to use my wonky logic and ask myself.....stasks mac would put one washer above the bearing, and one washer below....to achieve the same result - space. So my question to you is...why? I look forward to your explanation :)
@@TheOdontologist i think i read it somewhere on a forum, and also it would help removing the lower bearing should it need to be removed,2 washers on the bottom just doesnt seem correct,im doing a similar conversion sometime in the future, and also wondering what u did with your lockstops ?the reason u cant find it in any manual is because your using non standard parts, what you did may work, its your call.heres a link to the allballs fitting guide,if you read further down,it asks whether you need a washer under the lower bearing retainer for height ? www.cyclepedia.com/manuals/online/cpp-all-balls/installation-guides/motorcycle-intallation-guides/fork-conversion-kit/
Wow pity you didn’t remove them before powder coating , great in-depth videos much appreciated .

Looking good.
Do not tight the top yoke yet, you' ll need to take it off to install the clip ons 😜, beautiful front end!!
Thanks Carlos. Clip ons I have are Woodcraft 2 piece clamps. No need to remove yoke.
The Odontologist alright!!, tight it up then!!, keep it up!!
The stem nut could do with a washer as well.
Those forks are beautiful! did you have them painted? If so did you have any issues with them fitting in the triple clamps?
No Marty. They are stock of a 2006 GSXR 600.
hi, what part number is for ball siting risers ? is it in allballs set ?
Yes.
you used 2 washers on the lower triple tree,i think your supposed to put one washer under the bearing retainer in the headstock

how did you decide on these particular forks. close to original rake/ length etc?
Looks...😁. Don't really know much about rake trail etc that could be useful.
