- In this video I take a trip to Bangor's Nelson Skatepark. The main feature here is the pink Californian Back Yard Pool style bowl. This spot was right at the edge of my ability level and made for an exciting day out.

I attempted to skate this bowl years ago when I was at uni and it was very difficult so hats off for everything you got! I'm a lot better at skating now so might be worth another visit for me. Its not too far away

I have two identical decks & trucks. One has 60 mm 93a ratbones and the other spitfire 60 mm 99a's. The ratbones are super wide and although slower offer a luxurious ride. Ratbones for rough concrete. Spitfire for smooth.

Been there a few times myself and I can confirm it's way harsher than it looks in the video. I met a local there called Casper who is astonishingly good.
I like how they just leave all the old bowls there in England, about 5 - 8 years ago in New Zealand they went through and ripped out all the old bowls and vert ramps (half pipes) and replaced them with new skate parks. Now it's really hard to find any decent bowls or ramps to skate here. All we have is lots of skateparks that are plaza-style. I prefer ramp and bowl skating there's hardly any left here at all which is such a shame.
Hey Jon, just wanna say that you've inspired me to get back into skating at age 35 after taking a 15 year break, relearning tricks has been a journey, keep up the videos!
Nice one dude, yeah I enjoy the ‘re-learn’ but it’s usually only been a year or two for me since the trick slipped from I grasp. I’d image it feels different after 15 years off !!
