We found a carpark on google maps quite close to the centre of town on the day we left as we wanted to keep exploring after checkout. Many hotels and ryokan will have parking or will be able to help you find one if staying overnight, as ours did. Have fun! It's such a beautiful drive! 😍
Hi Mya. The roads is Japan are excellent and drivers are very courteous. Even if you take your time driving you shouldn't encounter impatient people, so you can relax and get used to driving on the other side of the road! :)

How did you find the road? we are planning the same route with one minor concern we’ve never driven on the other side and we will have a mini van.
