Without comparing them back-to-back in the exact same guitar, I seem to prefer the Firespitters overall. Perhaps slightly less compressed and not quite as dark.
Tried teaching myself some of this the other day and i don't think i was too far off! And really annoyed at Amazon because i had this CD on pre-order with them and still nothing from them and they have no idea when they'll be able to deliver...

What settings are you using on the Baghdad??
I can’t remember off hand, but it was set exactly as it is when I hold it up in the video. I was also bumping the midrange a bit with the parametric EQ in the power amp.

My GT120 is in the shop now for a new pilot light, but I will do a comparison video or live demo when I get it back for sure. The GT1 is an all around killer amp.

@@AaronEvces yeah, it's not quite the same as the GT120, but it does lean in that direction when you put it in NMV mode.

Hi, I'm still a beginner, but I would like to discover the world of doom. When I tune my Les Paul down, the frets buzz and scratch a lot. What can I do? Its normally tuned in E Standard. When i want to play electric wizard for example that would be too much
You need to have your guitar setup with heavier strings. I typically recommend something in the range of 12-56 for C-Standard or 13-62 for B-Standard. Take your guitar to a reputable tech and have it setup properly as the nut slots will need to be filed and the guitar will need action, intonation, and neck relief adjusted. No, that’s a new signature pedal we’ve been working on with Matt, he does have a Baghdad on his board though.

Why run into the Carvin power amp if you had a Soldano power amp?
That’s a Soldano SP-77, which is essentially an SLO preamp, not a power amp.
