A couple of things with the New Balance range... Firstly, I do love the look of them.., and they are nice quality..., but.... I feel they need proper "heavy" leather on the top of the boot and toe.. You wouldn't want to get a yorker hit you full on..., and to compliment that, a proper toe protector. This feeling that the boots are "light" means they are not substancial, and that is not what you want from a cricket boot when there is a chance of you getting a full ball hitting you on the toe area. I'm also not a fan of this narrow design... I always feel a "wide" option is a must for cricketers as we tend to wear thick socks.. - Just my take on it..., as there are so few boots to pick this season, 2024..., awful protection in most of them..
?,I picked up a pair of CK4030s. The shop I bought from were good enough to hold them until I could get in to pick them up and try them with my actual cricket socks. They are super comfy and the price point beats both Adidas (which I did like) and Paynter (which I find really strange - anyone e else
Great video. Thank you. I have a question. Can I use 2023 model indoor if I take the spikes off.? Or put rubber spike for indoor leagues (wooden floor, basket ball court in school).
Hi Gobikannan, good question! In general, you should be all good using them without spikes indoors but on a hard surface it might be less ideal as you may have less grip and might be dependent on which one of the range you're using.
Why is the width ignored in cricket shoe reviews. For bowlers you're land heavily on one foot causing it to splay. NB are known for their wide fit options so why not for cricketers? We aren't all dopes!!
There isn't anything really in the market currently that would be aligned with zero drop. Mostly due to the movements in cricket and the stability and cushioning required with your footwear.

Are they true to size, or should I go a size bigger? I'm a fast bowler. How do CK4030 compare to CK4040?
if i wear a size 8 normally in shoes, what size should i get of these? ive heard you are supposed to go one size up. what do you recommend?
I wear a size 9.5 us which is my regular size but I found these shoes a little tight so I think u should go up a size on these
I’ve got CK10’s from 2018 and as a 10 I had to send them back and up to an 11.5
