Thanks for sharing I’ll be back there in January . I’m from Jersey and it’s cheaper to Uber to port . I really love the ship and the fact that they play a lot of Spanish music was really cool.
We loved listening to all of the different styles of music throughout the ship. The trip into Brooklyn was easy on a Sunday, I felt bad for my brother though who wanted to drive us to the port.
Have a great time. Our next cruise is scheduled for August 31st. Can't wait.

The only day that was chilly was the very first day as we left NY into the open water. It was a fantastic trip and I hope you have the best weather/cruise!

It was a gorgeous ship, the best one out of the 3 we have been on (for MSC) Come join us the 2nd sailing of World America next April!

We’re getting on Meraviglia tomorrow. Interested to see how it compares to our last cruise on World Europa a few weeks ago with our 6 year old.
I hope you have a great cruise, would love to hear your thoughts and see which ship you enjoyed more after.
Well just got off Meraviglia. There is absolutely no comparison to our World Europa cruise last month. The food, service, entertainment was on another level compared to this one. On Europa our waiter had our wine bottles chilled at the table waiting every night and kept refilling without us asking. Had to actually tell him to stop a few times lol. On Meraviglia we would give our initial drink order then never asked if we wanted more. Dinner took 2 hours. On Europa we were in and out in an hour. The entertainment was not good at all. The singers were weak, the dancers were ok, the activities in general were boring. The lunch buffet was an absolute disaster with the overcrowding. Europa has 3 separate buffets on 2 levels and never got too crowded. I felt bad for some of the kids trying to get drinks and waters and the bartenders just ignored them and took other orders for long periods of time. They didn’t enforce the no kids policy in the back Horizon pool and bar. It was our second time on Meraviglia and we won’t be going back. Looking at either World America or Carnival Celebrating for next April.
Hey, thanks for your feedback! We agree with a lot of what you said. We will be doing a detailed review video soon. The ship is gorgeous though but I'm sure the World Europa is even prettier. We are actually doing the Celebration in October and the World America in April, so we are on the same page haha!
Wow that’s awesome great cruising minds think alike lol. We are looking at April 19 when my 6 year old is off from school to go in World America. We loved Europa and with all the new updates and comedy club I know it will be a great time.

also your check in time was at 10:30 am...so what time you get there and how long did you wait before you finally got on the ship? what time did the ship start moving? and what time did you get luggage deliver to your room? i heard on the day of embarkation, they close down the buffett at 2 pm...is that true? how about the hot tubs, did they turn it on embarkation day?
We got there around 10:30 but we didn’t board until about 11:15-11:30. Our luggage was delivered quickly I want to say by 4pm but not positive. The buffet is open 20 hours a day, it closes during the safety meeting but then opens back up. The hot tubs and pools were all open for the most part minus a couple they were cleaning/painting.
Wow looks like you have been on quite a few cruises and have an absolute blast on all of them. How would you rate the MSC Meraviglia?
We have been on a good amount but just started to sail on MSC last year. Out of the 3 we liked the Meraviglia the best so far. Gorgeous ship, overall the food was better than the other 2, crew was way more friendly, and just had a great time. We are looking forward to the World America next April!
question....for the luggage tags. did you guys print it out yourself at home or did it at the desk at the terminal? they send me a luggage tag on the email and i guess i can print it out. but using the printed paper and wrap it around my luggage, i'm afraid it won't hold. so do you guys wait till u get at the terminal and have the desk print out the luggage tag with self adhesive tag instead?
We print them out and then stick them in our clear cruise luggage tags. I bought them from Amazon if you want to take a look amzn.to/4bEz54F
what was your cruise date? We were on the ship 6/23 to 6/30
Did you guys do the status match from carnival to msc.
Yes, however we did it before the pandemic before we reached diamond with Carnival so we are not quite at the top level yet on MSC. I think next MSC cruise we will be however. Awesome program, we wish more cruise lines would do this.
