This what i love about Shepard, Such a fantastic artist, and all he does is work in his garage. I know its out of date, but thats where he started. He is so fucking cool. He's my icon
Frank "officially" launched his posse campaign in 86--He really started to get noticed in 89. Yes he still skates...common its Los Angeles people...who doesnt?
Your totally right EcholnRed, but I think you know that typical youtuve audience wont get it. Fairey is a brand thats it. Very nice, visually appealing, but not art.
He copies images, so did Warhol. But at least Warhol had something to saw about it other then " I like Obama" or "War is bad" Fairey's work looks cool yes, but it has no meaning beyond the immdeiate surface value. He is a figure head that has been raised to the status of fine artist in order to disarm the street art movement. Many street artists have complex concepts they wish to communicate. This is not his fault, he has been raised to this status by the art industry inorder to disarm streetart

@fretkills If his work lacks creativity, why is his style of works so distinct?
So, you're saying you're not going to buy his prints, or what?
Cutnspray has a wheatpaste tutorial.
Do you reckon he likes red?
@nerdboy123456 I think he doesn't dictate the price, I think we do, by consuming them from stores that carry them.
