Did you have to buy the prop or did it come with a prop? Reason I’m asking is my motor comes with no prop and I was wondering if I had buy the hardware as well as the prop.
@@witek-fz9cn de danger here is that the impeller spins really fast without water and going try, local marin store and others told me you destroy the impeller very very quickly this way
never start your motor like that if your going to start it have muffs or a bucket of water under that hose spot is meant to flush it turned off not meant to be ran your empellar gonna be screaming sir
@@ANATURALDREWSASTER wrong. In the owners manual, it clearly states do not start motor while flushing to avoid damage. The hose port is for flushing only, after the motor is run in salt water.

@@tgtvpaulu3843 The hose idea is actually pretty smart. Saves you from having to put the leg in a barrel of water. But I'm not sure your hose idea provides water to all the neccesairy parts!?!?!?
Just bought mine. Can’t wait to start it up!!

Tohatsu engineers actually recommend this method over muffs. Water is forced past the impeller

He's right. I almost made that mistake. Not sure why I double checked. But that's a flush when the engine is OFF.
Does you’re motor ever smoke at startup? Mine does
Running a boat motor out of the water? Not too bright, are ya?
