Man I need to get some stock in the vitavon company. Another good video as always bud.. Thank you for all that you do for the RC community. With all the great informational videos. And the time you put in to all the video's you make. Thanks Joe well done sir.. I really got to join your channel membership. To help support one of the best rc channels on YT. Thanks again Joe 👍👍
Do you think that he should have made something to support the back of that motor? I am wondering if hard impacts would cause it to cause issues with the weight of that motor just hanging there.
As much as I like Arthur's (ie. Vitavon's) work...I have Vitavon parts on several vehicles (most notably my Traxxas X-MAXX & Losi Baja Rey)...when it came to upgrading my Sledge, I went with upgrades from M2C Racing & BasherQueen (except for the machined hardened-steel ring gears for the front/rear diffs, which are Traxxas). However, when it comes time to replace the spur, I'll be 'searching'.
That's some forward bias. Should handle really well in that configuration. My X-ray Truggy is 65/35. I wonder what the Sledge is with the Vitavon chassis. Looks like it would be really close. Do you have scales to weigh it? I'm really curious.
@@averagecarguy961 In the case of most Traxxas vehicles, I'd agree (my neighbor & I have even pitted my X-MAXX against his Kraton, and we both agree the X-MAXX is better)...but, in the case of the Sledge, Traxxas DID "miss the mark by a mile".
So how is Traxxas pretending to be better then one specific truck "kraton". That makes no sense. They are two completely different companies. Traxxas has been around since the 80's. With a wide range of rc's. From 2s to 8s nitros boats helicopters drones. And have rc's for the beginner and the biggest enthusiasts. Arrma has only been around since 2009. And only makes ground vehicles. From 3s to 8s. No ones trying to pretend like the other. Two completely different companies with different visions for where they want to go in the hobby. I agree the Sledge and the kraton look a like. But that's where the comparison end at the look. And also love people saying the Kraton was a Xmaxx killer. How is that they are completely different trucks. The Xmaxx is a monster truck. With 4-5 inches ground clearance and able to be launched to the sky. And go over or threw any terrain. The kraton is a big as* truggy. Can't call it a monster truck. Sorry never seen a monster truck that only has 2-3 inches of ground clearance and a rear wing. And is built for speed and handling. I have both trucks. Amd I agree that the xmaxx is better then the kraton. All rc's have their own issues and need upgrades. If they all came bullet proof. They would have to sell them for 2-3 times the amount they sell them for now. They wouldn't make any money. If people didn't want to upgrade. Amd alot of people would be out of a job not maken parts for these rc's. Everyone has their own opinions and that's why the hobby is so great. No one rc is the same as another. To each their own. It's all about haven fun and driving them till they break. And them fix them and do it all over again next weekend. Happy bashing guys.
Vitavon, and even GPM, might as well make a clone roller chassis, considering their huge catalogue of sledge 7075 parts
Man that would actually be a great idea

HI Joe WOW it looks AMAZING so well made. Thanks for sharing Sir 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤙🏼👍🏼
That receiver box is super sexy! That thing looks great brother 💯
Living my rc hobby dreams through your channel man!
Looks awesome man. I love my vitavon stuff on my Sledge.

M2c has a little piece you slide under the back of the motor I think it’s pretty cheap
What pinion gear are you running?
Another awesome video I just got my sledge yest can’t wait to build it and run it

I haven't even thought to weigh it for balance
Very nice Joe! My mate Jake fitted an M2C chassis on his which is also epic but he doesn't have the amount of Vitavon stuff you have. 👌👍
I’m just going to buy the motor mount and then drill the other two holes with my drill press.I don’t have money for that chassis and mount😂
Just watched your video it's alsome mate love that chassis looks very strong 💪👍
You should have said get your bearings straight 🤣🤣
Great vids!! How are all the Vitavon parts holding up? Have you had any issues? That thing looks like an absolute beast!!
So far so good. I have a new video on it to be released soon. The metal rod ends are metal on metal so some wear is to be expected.
👍😁
Great video, great truck. Traxxas should just stop pretending it is better than a Kraton because it does not need any upgrades. ;-)
Traxxas is not pretending anything, they are absolutely the best!!!

It's sad how much aftermarket upgrade you need to add to this already overpriced truck to make it just functional.
Now just get rid of the fugly brace and shitty shocks and you have a ptoper truck not the shitshow traxxas makes ;)
What’s wrong with the stock shocks? They seem fine to me.
@@ExocagedRC they are just too small for the weight now. And the biggest problem they dont match the rest of the truck ;)
Mate that's looking great i can't wait to it on the track and see if it handles better 👍🦘🤣
