    Following the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster, a substantial amount of radioactive water, exceeding 1 million tonnes, has accumulated at the central Japanese power plant. The situation is becoming increasingly critical as storage capacity at the facility is nearing its limit. Currently, there is a proposal to release this water into the ocean. The question arises: How can one render 1 million tonnes of radioactive water safe for human consumption?
