Very intriquing! So does the center and up stage delays apply onlynif you have positioning processor for the PA. I don't know what it's called but maybe you understand. Would this apply to an outdoor theater with a basic LCR mix?
Positions in TheatreMix can be defined in terms of delay, pan, bus assignments, or a combination of all three. If you have the resources it's more effective to use an external DSP configured with nodal delays for each position bus, but for a basic LCR mix you could just set delay values and some subtle pans in TheatreMix positions.
Thanks for the overwiev! I use AVID S6L for theatre, so it is unfortunately not supported by TheatreMix. Still I think I'm going to try the software if it would make sense to plan out the programming with, instead of Excel/Numbers sheets.
TheatreMix only uses mute groups to facilitate surface button controls - some consoles do not provide a method for TheatreMix to detect UDK/Soft button presses without assigning them to a console function. Channels are assigned to DCAs on all consoles.
Fundamentally how is this any different to recalling a scene with only the faders you need for a specific cue? I feel like I'm missing a piece of the puzzle. I don't find programming console scenes difficult nor do I struggle to set a show up offline with an editor. I feel like theatremix is trying to solve an issue that doesn't exist. I'm not trying to be rude just trying to figure out what I'm missing?
I feel it’s helpful with complex setups. I worked a musical that used an M32 for actor mics, some band inputs, and Qlab, but also had an M32R connected for the rest of the band inputs. Theatre mix can connect to only one console at a time and since each song and underscoring had its own mix, theatre mix would trigger Qlab cues that changed the band mix while simultaneously bringing up the DCAs for the scene. Fun stuff lol.
Such an awesome piece of software. Will definitely look at using this whenever I can

The S6L is widely used in Musical Theater, And it has its own local capabilities. Great board btw
Really waiting for a 2nd and 3rd part of this video.

I love the TheaterMix, is a great software. I would like to use i to with Digico Consoles.
Why does it use mute groups on the A&H consoles, when they also have assignable DCA’s that are customizable by scene?

Very informative video but is crying out for a follow-up, There's so many more features in TheatreMix
Hey Stuart, part two has been posted! Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/IpYdcNarP2A/v-deo.html
2nd that, DO NOT buy a Yamaha TF console.

I pray for an "umm" filter on youtube videos. Anyway, it starts at 26:00
