you can put the Radio behind you using your body to block the Radio from the reciver and bind! works also. Thanks for the vid.
Hi, where you use an AR8000, could I use an AR610? As long as it's not the bind port, does it matter which port you use for the power in? I don't know how to use a lipo battery directly (as you are doing). Could I provide the power via a connected ESC and battery and insert the throttle plug into a port in the AR610?
How can i bind it when i only have the sattelit?
can you comment on model set up for Spektrum DX6 / 9 using the default heli model set up / modes. So on "B" switch, I wonder if the gyro bank angles or stability settings going to work in normal, Stunt 1, and no limits stunt 2 / 3D mode.. all that works out ok ?
Yes. the board is set up to recognize channel 5 as the channel that switches between gyro modes. it doesn't actually matter what switch you assign it to, however putting it on the flight mode switch makes the most sense so you dont have to flip two separate switches.
personal preference really...the radio will allow you to assign your flight modes, dual rates/expo, and channel 5 gyro modes to whatever switches you like, or all to the same switch. do what feels most comfortable to you.

Yeah, borrow your buddy's receiver at the flying field Just a bind yours yours and then you both go fly. I may be wrong, but won't the rx/tx remember each other? And then interfere.
If I'm right then you better make sure that buddy lives in another town and will never be flying nearby.
How do I find a chart that shows spektrum rx's that have a satellite port? Its ridiculous that that info isnt easily available
There is no chart I'm aware of but all of Spektrum's stuff is under the aircraft recievers section on Horizon and they have good descriptions. Never had any problems. Do you need help selecting?

@@MachSpeedHobbies Im totally confused now. That rx has a 4 pin connector whereas Spektrum satellite has 3. As of now, I only have a satellite rx and a Ar620 rx (which is no use without a satellite plug). What do I need to do to get the flight controller bound with the new Spektrum SPM4650? Can I just re-pin to a 3 pin connector and leave the NC pin out?

If both my friend and I use the same receiver to bind the satellite on each of our OMPs is there a chance of us shooting each other down(same crystal situation)?
I dont believe so.
the unique identifier should bind to your radio. shouldnt affect each other.
