I was fishing on a lake once in a small aluminium boat and all of a sudden all the other boats pulled anchor and took off back to shore. I was really fixated on the fishing as it picked right up but didn’t notice these monster storm clouds form above me until I heard thunder. It was quite a show. I was surrounded by big black thunderclouds and I too had a carbon fibre fishing rod. I kept hearing an intermittent ticking sound. I couldn’t work out were the tick came from so moved about the boat putting my ear to different things. Eventually my dumb ass realised it wasn’t the prop slowly turning on the motor, but my rod. 😳 Whenever I lifted the rod, the higher I raised it, the quicker the ticks got. I suddenly realised I was in deathly danger and laid the rod flat on the boat floor where the sound stopped and I got the hell out of there.
You are one of the main reasons I decided to get out of my comfort zone and start my own true story narration channel. I love what you do man, I would love to colab with you someday. Keep doing what you're doing 👌
Hey my friend hope All is well with ya . It's been a tough season with the bait going round the canal for the 2nd season and you know what that means but I still love it for better or worse . Have a Good day .
I once went fishing we got the beach unpacked a few bits and sorted the rods out..we all cast out and we all caught lots off fish..i know this sounds hard to belive but i assure you its the truth..
Well, Hey there T K, how the heck are ya? We chatted about a year ago, in a random comment section on YT. Hope you're doing okay. Have a great evening.
I'd love to hear more stories about fishing. There is no telling what kind of strange marvels, near misses with death, and hard-learned outdoorsmen lessons you will hear about.
I'm in SW Florida, and the Bull Sharks are no joke. The person who was kayaking in South Florida is absolutely right. And they did the smartest thing to do in that situation.

Story 11. Seen this happening in Spain. Palamos harbour is a place that has a fish market directly next to the sea. I was fishing while sitting on the edge of the harbour and a German dude sitting next to me pulled out the exact same fish mentioned in this vid. This man catches it mid air when he pulled the tiny thing out of the water. I watched it and he let out a yelp while dropping it. Almost immediatly his hand swelled up like a balloon and some Spanish people leaded him away to the emergency post. Not sure what they did with him, i hope they knew the warmwater trick back then. I wil never forget it though.
Some weevers are actually of good eating. Providing you have treated the venomous spine (heating it should neutralise the venom), you can use it as an ingredient for bouillabaisse or Italian fish soup along with red mullets and scorpionfishes (yes, those venomous guys are also delicious).
That last story....that was some deep, spiritual growth type of story....yeah they were meant to cross paths. I've had things like this happen to me and I only realized it years later
Thresher sharks are awesome. They're among the most beautiful sharks in the sea. But yea don't mess with them. Underwater they're pretty shy and retiring, though.
You are so modest…. I became a patron because you are top notch and you deserve so much more! I’m just broke lol but you are part of my daily life as much as, or more than, family… you are appreciated ☺️ thank you for all that you do!

Heck, I even _had_ to show it to my kids, it's that uncanny! *Lmaoo Btw, thanks for another wonderful selection of stories, masterfully narrated by a real pro. *HUGS 💕
I've actually only learned recently about the DEADLY cone snails you can find on beaches and tide pools, ive literally gone 20+ years not knowing that these are the most deadliest venomous creatures
Oh Yes Bone fishing Awesome I've caught Alot of fish All species and the Bone fish pound for pound the best fight you can get . Have a Great day everyone .
Story 10: I have fear of open water so that remark make me laugh when just from his description alone I was getting anxious. I don't get how my ancestors use to traverse that element or even swim through it for sport.
I've seen a large Cuda come right out the water and grab a person's arm what caused it the person sprayed his boat off with freshwater and was drying the boat with a white rag and the rag would on occasion just bounce off the surface of the water the blood loss was incredible as the scream was as well .

Barracuda adopted the divers as part of their school 😭😭 that’s kind of precious tbh.
Smart to get out of the water, I remember fishing in Boston harbor and beyond, bull sharks do bump boats I’ve always feared them more than any.
