Aya is actually one of the few sick female leads in games, there's a lot of shit to be said about AC but Origins nailed it and would have loved to play as Aya too on the Hidden Ones storyline outside of Bayek's experience.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I read online that all three RPG games were meant to have women as their protagonist. In Origins specifically Aya was supposed the player character, but higher ups at Ubisoft didn’t let it happen. So they basically gave Aya a husband to be the actual protagonist.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Bayek as a protagonist, and I like how he’s not some special demigod but just a dude looking to avenge his son. But when you think about it, the fact that he was kind of shoehorned in as a protagonist makes sense if it was supposed to be Aya.

Well Origins was the only game where Aya was supposed to be a protagonist because in Odyssey and Valhalla, you can choose to play as the female character

@@BehindTheVoicePod yes, but the canon is female. What I heard was that there was supposed to be no option to choose, it was just supposed to be female.

Idk about the other 2 games being canon to one character but yea Aya is the ancestor to Kassandra which does connect well but again there is a choice, so you easily be Kassandra whereas in AC Origins, you just coudn't play as her

No it was more of the he said she said from developers who had been fired or left Ubisoft who worked on the game. They said that in the middle of the development they decided to adjust the story. I call BS without having to completely redo work that that had already been done and rewrite the story.

Aya is voiced by a white woman wth lol had no clue . Thats interesting . And I will say I too am disappointed with aya. As a character she is basically the mother of the hidden ones and she gets no acknowledgment

What the fucks Bayek? He’s the one who created the creed they follow, you see that in his personality as you play. Aya is literally the worst part of the hidden ones of how they get involved in politics.

The origins characters are far more interesting than odyssey or Valhalla
