- Finest Trade Analyst #KomalNahta ji in a Connect Cine exclusive with #FaridoonShahryar talks about how his reviews of #Animal #Jawaan #Pathaan #12thFail and #Tiger3 were proved right. Nahta ji tore into the hypocrisy of the critics of #Animal. He spoke about certain custodians of cinema who are more keen to prove their intellectual credentials more than what the film is all about. Mr Nahta spoke about the plan that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan need to adopt as far as their script selection is concerned. My opinion completely changed after seeing 'Animal' today on netflix. It was bloody amazing. I did go for the hearsay and the view portrayed by some in the industry and I am soooo wrong! I wish i had seen it in the cinema. It is great acting by Ranbir and Anil Kapoor stood out too. Cinematography, fast paced screenplay kept me involved till much after the titles run and into 'Animal Park' the next one that shall also blow the audiences. Most of all, its absolutely well done execution by the director, Sandeep Vanga Reddy. You sir, if reading this must take a bow!

no its a movie. There is kidnapping, murder, rape shown in motion pictures since its inception.

What he said about Animal is exactly what I have been debating in social media comments and among my friends circle...I am a film lover and also part of the South Film Industry...I write feedbacks about movies on my Facebook & Instagram but since I am not a professional reviewer or critic I don't call them reviews. So happy Komal Sir is one of the few reviewers who doesn't let his personal views affect his objectivity and as he said, he watches & enjoys movies like all of us. Most importantly, I also totally agree and said that cinema is not a moral science class..for that we have Educational institutions, Parents & Families, to some extent even the truly honest politicians or philosophers. Cinema is entertainment. Some are pure entertainers and there are Films with social messages too. Period. Fantastic interview. It's almost 5 am as I write this because as a film lover above all I just had to watch till the end. Mazaa aagaya!!!😃👍👌💯👏

I've had an intriguing thought. The protagonists of 'Animal' and 'Zanjeer' were both embraced by the youth of their respective times. In 'Zanjeer,' Amitabh's character deviated from the norms prevalent during the 60s and 70s. Traditional heroes of that era were characterized by their romanticism, pleasant smiles, and the penchant for singing and dancing with co-stars. However, Amitabh's character, Vijay, in 'Zanjeer' lacked these conventional traits. He exuded a somber demeanor, seldom smiled, and exhibited no romantic inclinations. A profound sense of pent-up anger stemming from childhood trauma defined his character.
Now think about Ranbeer's character. He also has this anger issue that stemmed from his pain that his father never loved him. When his father is attacked, this anger surfaces, propelling him on a quest for revenge. Much like Vijay Khanna in 'Zanjeer,' revenge becomes the central focus of his life.
What adds another layer of intrigue is the shared similarity in the names of both Amitabh and Ranbir's characters.
In Tiger 3 no tribute to Late Girish Karnad sir ( tiger’s boss ) they could showed his pic or any glimpse . Even ranveer Shorey character Gopi is dead which could been used in movie but unfortunately that’s where movie bombed

Initially I also heard the biased misinformation spread by woke darbaris and secular chamchas against SRV and Animal but decided to see it and just fell in love with the whole of it..
What amazing performances.. what great multilingual music. awesome dialogues. SRV is a master, he has designed, executed and has 200% control over every aspect of the movie!

18:00 i am not audience of films like Pathaan, although I absolutely love the amount of success and love it got, it was such a good podcast, so much to learn from person who respects cinema and his job, not every two bit can be a reviewer, i myself watch channels like mensxp for it's entertainment value, and Jammy for reviews, and i enjoy people bashing bad movies which he made me realise is wrong and I will only enjoy bashing of those movies which are made to be bashed and respect other good or bad cinema ❤️

The last one is so accurate, i study in north campus Delhi and have to travel so farrr to watch a movie in good cinema, there's cheap cinemas available which are labelled as Student's cinema but they have worst audience and seating capacity, being the nation's capital and living around University campus to expect to get easy access of theatres but there's not even PVR nearby let alone IMAX which is wayyyyy far in Saket and Rohini

Yah! Like my sister who refused to come to the cinema with us because of movie length and kept watching Bobby Deol's clips and reels on Facebook and Insta and made up her mind that it was Bobby Deol( (not Abrar) who was the Animal!
So when she saw the movie on Netflix, that's exactly what she said, the Animal was Bobby (not Abrar)! I asked if she saw and understood Ranvijay's transformation into Animal from a sweet school boy to a killer, and she went blank. So yes, I agree, some people had already made up their mind of what they would like to see (or not) in the movie Animal and that remained their opinion. My sister didn't even understand or even care to try to understand the Ranvijay or Balbir character. She wanted to watch Bobby, and that's all she saw and praised.
Bobby's Abrar was superb! But like I used the analogy before, Abrar was water to Animal the movie, that it is to us humans. Essential as it is for human's existence, we can live without water for days; but Ranvijay was oxygen to Animal the movie, that it is to us humans. We can't survive for even 10 minutes without oxygen! But those who understand the difference, loved everything and everyone about the movie. Those who didn't understand, loved only one or 2 things. Like my sister who only loved Bobby. So many others loved only Tripti. And, yes, there are those who also loved only Ranbir. So ... c'est la vie!

Komal only said youngsters felt validated watching Animal -- that means they are misogynists as well, problematic as well which some people are highlighting.. Gangs of Wasseypur had violence but no one could identify with the charecters and it was told as a story without glorifying anyone. But in Animal Ranvijay is glorified that's problematic

Animal is a piece of art and quite a true depiction of what patriarchy and muscular toxicity (READ - its not masculine toxicity. Every character has some element of toxicity) that is evident in Indian society n in any human dynamic across globe. Every scene is bang on. Women had a huge hue and cry on twitter as well. But look at it objectively as a human being not as a woman or man. Its one heck of a movie. Ranbir is aweosme. every scene is gorgeous. Send this movie to Oscars please.
komal saying films wont influence people, giving an example of hero wins in the end, i am shocked he is saying this. influnce wont be direct mapping. little little nuances. for example, a kid taking machine gun to the college. dont you think atleast some kids would have got high with that scene and some may have that in mind, that its ok to take a gun to school, provided he has access to?
