I’m a mumbai chi mulgi living in Canada which has very less diversity in the Indian population here. To see Mr. Limaye in this movie and hear him speak in my mother tongue not only warmed my heart but also helped the movie portray a united India and highlight the spirit of Maharashtra in it. Thank you very much for reminding me of my home. I was so proud of his scenes and of him. Thank you for being a flag bearer of Maharashtra and Mumbai

Why Maharatrians? Any body who are not from the north, haven’t been great in Hindi except Nana Patekar. He was trained by the then Hindi directors for Hindi dramas and that did the trick.
This man has undeniable swag . He has gems in his kitty like page 3 , sarkar, jogwa, shentimental, savarkhed ek gaon, Mulshi Pattern, Ya sukhano ya in tv , choked, chowk etc. Still he is underrated in Marathi film industry !
He was in Jatraa too. A bhai with a limited budget and novice mimicry artists as his punters. His one dialogue “ mazi gaaadi kuthe? …tithech?” Me and my daughter every now and then used to fit that dialogue in most of the situations around us, almost on the daily basis.
Either bro is still in the character or he can catch his character anytime anywhere
