Flights, trains and other modes of transport were severely affected by the heavy snowfall, which caused flight cancellations.
Cancellations will continue as the blizzard hit Stockholm particularly hard, where many regional trains were canceled in the early hours of the morning.
Due to the snowfall, most bus tours in Stockholm County have been cancelled, and another 30-40 centimeters of snow is expected, local residents say.
"It seems to be getting worse and worse. Currently, the problems are mainly in the northern and southern parts of the county," said Andreas Stromberg, Acting Head of Department and Public Relations Manager at the Stockholm Traffic Authority.
Snow chaos and public transport shutdowns have paralyzed Stockholm for years, causing long queues and forcing people to stay at home.
