I can't have too many versions of this gorgeous tune. Thanks for bringing the full song!

They don’t write em like this anymore. That bridge towards the end! Inspired composition and great intro Alan.

Alan, I loved your version. I never heard the original before. It was wonderful.

I figured you'd take this on and your cover is every bit as good as I imagined it would be, thanks Alan.

Fab job, Alan! (I KNEW your version would involve whistling ... and I've never heard the intro before!)

Thank you very much! Like I said in the comments, I don't think anyone ever recorded anything but the chorus.

As I told Ila, my parents had a record, which I haven't heard in 50 years, of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong singing this. I don't think that they did the verse, but I figured if there was one that you'd do it and I was right. Great job. I'd love to hear you and Ila do a colab on this.

Well done, Alan - including the rarely heard intro! So sorry I missed you at the open mic (I’ve missed like three in four years so that was bad timing).

That's okay, I didn't do anything really great. Just a short little song. Thanks!
