beautiful
Thank you.
Really good man!
Thanks a lot!
What terrific lyrics - who knew there were so many rhymes for "...ants"? Thank you for this one.
Thank you!
❤ wonderful!
Thank you very much.
Nicely done, Alan!
Thank you!
An inspired choice
Thanks.
I love it Alan. You have a mighty fine voice, but it's always nice to hear an instrumental.
Thank you.
He sings more skillfully than👍 I can!
Thank you.
Very well done! Is that 6/8 time?
Thanks! I've never seen the written music for it, but it feels like 3/4 to me.
This is so awesome! Great job! I just started working on this song for the monthly TPA theme as I do not have any songs in my repertoire the have a number in the title (can you believe it?) and I thought that this was obscure enough that no one else would do it, but I underestimated you, the ukulele master of obscure old songs. I haven't found an English version of the verse yet (French yes), but now I have your splendid rendition. Thank you! I am going to do it in G on a baritone I think.
Well, this wasn't in my repertoire, either. I just looked for a song with "one" in the title and thought this one had an interesting title, also all those triplets looked like fun. I'll be watching for yours, thanks!
Those looked like some challenging changes.
It was difficult. Thanks!
That sounded amazing, Alan. Great chords and melody to that one.
Thank you very much.
Nice one again. I like the high octave variation. Thanks for that Alan.
Thanks. The original has the main theme played by a different instrument each time, starting with a harmonica, and then I can't remember the second one but the last time played by a flute, an octave or two higher than the harmonica.
Great voice and sound my friend!🎸
Thank you!
I always thought it would be fun to cover one of these songs that's really specific to a band's own experiences. I'd consider doing this as a secondary theme for a Season if I could find enough of these songs. I hope it was as much fun for you as it looked.
It was fun. I had to make little marks on the sheet to remember which syllables hit the beat in some places. I can't think of any other songs like this. I guess "Smoke on the Water" could count as an experience for Deep Purple? Thanks!
Very cool song! I really enjoyed it! Thanks for bringing it, your blooper was cute too!
Thank you.
This feels very nostalgic and sweet. Well done!
Thank you.
nailed it. lovely bring!
Thanks!
Such a super song and so well done. Thanks Alan!
Thank you.
I feel like I've had a nice walk on a pretty beach. Thanks for bringing it!
Thank you!
Very nicely done!
Thank you.
Great job with the bandana and a great cover to go with it ... I love The Mamas & The Papas! Thank you, Alan!
Thanks.
You are so good at these oldies, Alan - this is lovely! Thanks so much! :-)
Thanks!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩☺
Thank you!
Mighty fine Alan. I'll have to revisit this one.
Thank you.
Ha! Excellent Alan! 😅
Thanks!
Excellent! You and Jim are a perfect fit. Have the two of you ever collaborated on a song? That would be something I'd like to see.
Thanks!
You perform these old standards with so much polish, Alan - real quality in your playing, singing and whistling! Great job - thanks! :-)
Thank you very much!
Fantastic Alan. I'm gonna have to learn that verse.
Thank you.
Show demais cara! Isto rodou o mundo e me encontrou e agraciou aqui no Brasil! Um abraço!
Obrigado!
That was insanely good -- some really cool and fast chord changes. I've heard this most as a barbershop piece. Your version was top notch.
Thank you very much. It required a lot of practice.
Nice! 👍
Thanks!
Excellent.
Thank you.
