The irony where Sridhar Raghavan says that new storytellers pursue bad ideas in their stories. The man whose last watchable story was Bluffmaster in 2005! The man who wrote Chandni Chowk to China for fucks sake.
This panel had more potential. Of course the moderator ruined everything. I wanted to hear more from sridhar raghavan. Almost everyone in the panel knew the discussion was not being productive because of the moderator, but rakesh mehra is the only one who openly expressed his opinion.
Agree with the comments that this session could have been better moderated. The problem is that Rajabali is a screenwriter himself. He is most articulate of the lot who clearly likes to hear himself talk but at the same time also has a wealth of insight he is able to disseminate. This would have been much better if it was moderated by a non-screenwriter with intimate knowledge of the Bollywood machinery. Anupama Chopra (who was seated in the audience and asked a question to the panel in the Q&A session) would have been an ideal moderator.
So in the end there is no problem in the industry. Nice. The audience had the answer to what the problem could be. The stage denies. It feels like a debate than QnA.
Hi Vishal, Gud eve! I'm totally agree with you for the schools and collages must have the courses and whoever is interested can go ahead and please raise the voice and request to Smriti Irani to come up with this idea. This is fantastic. Thank you!
A great opportunity lost. This could have been a path-breaking master class for aspiring writers. However, the over indulgence of the moderator killed the vibe. Mehra was clearly frustrated with the setting. 😀
Great session. Tips which rakesh gave and Vikram said that it takes time, keep trying, trying tryi g. Respect is not demanded but script brings respect. I did not like the fact that not director but some idiot reads and decides but that is the way it is. Accept it.
Omprakash Mehra comes across as the typical Gujju who will keep tricks of the trade up his sleeve, and preserve the status quo. He looks out only for himself and others with more clout than him.
There is no problem with the audience. Give them a Happy new year and a 3 idiots the same week and most will go for the later. It's just that more of better films in popular format has to be made. Its the same excuse that the current filmmakers use to not do good films; are audience yahi chahti hai to hum kya kare!!
Deepak Nag There is a problem...when they are satisfied with Happy New Year...!!! agar logon ne aise movies se mu pher diya...only then...commercial filmmakers will look for good scripts!!!
Abhay Salvi Half the ppl who see these films come out abusing them. They watch it coz they don't have choices either in the form of better movies or other forms of entertainment. And, how can one expect more sense from audience if the filmmakers (actors, directors, producers) who are supposed to be smarter (that's why they are there, right!!) are the most clueless of the lot.
@@MrDnag88 but again they go and watch Same kind of films. There are lots of great films made this year. But most of them are flops. Why? Dont you think audience are the bigger culprits?
i came here to hear from Vikramaditya ! i think he is very talented and care much about the story and the micro details of each aspect of his films . unfortunately he happened to be among selfish people who likes to hear their own voice.

bluff master was also copied from 9 queens
Chandni chowk was a good idea, but not very well executed product.

Moderator should shut up and let panel speak up! Shame on moderator!
Its obscene how much the moderator likes to hear himself speak. Do i need to even say it.
Seems like the Newshour where Rajabali is playing Arnab
Yes, maybe Anjum Rajabali talked a lot more than he should have, but he made a lot of valid and interesting points.
The moderator just did a Arnab here. He had 7/8 pegs before coming to moderate.
hahahahaha from 23:09 to 24:20 Rakesh Mehra was high as fish
hahaha! True!
Vikram is also laughing 😂😂
Good perspective shared by Rakeysh sir. It is not the problem, it is the situation.
Rakesh omprakash Mehra has lot of good points ❤️❤️

Why didn't they give everyone a different mic?

Where to submit scripts so that producers will read it ??? Is there any online platform for it !!! Please help... I have also registered at SWA

The Biggest Problem is our Audience not the scripts or the Films !!!
Agreed...That is the Big Problem!
