I had no idea Opal that there was more to the area then the train going through. Yum coconut. I will stay away from those red / green peppers. I really would like to see this train in person. It came and left. Yum grilled meats on a stick. Egg noodles with roasted pork yumI offer wonder if the pork is super tender. YUM YUM dumplings. I could eat coconut ice cream daily. Absolutely Loved Every Minute
I always knew that there were more than just the train before because my parents took me since I was a kid. But I didn’t know that we can jump on the train for photo😂

You need to look for a tour, I think there are plenty online. Or hire a taxi. If I were to suggest, I would say tour coz they will have tour guides for you.

But... that railway market is one of the best examples about how a place is destroyed by overtourism. First time in 2002 I was the only visitor there. Then it was a place only hardcore rail enthusiasts would visit.
After that I came may be eight times, I never can remember exactly. Last time in February 2024 with my Mum and my brother. Horrible experience, everything full of tourists, both Farang and Chinese.
Even the name "Rom Hub" has been made up by TAT some years ago to promote tourism.
