I’m really enjoying watching your vids- I’m in Ayrshire so seeing your successes is giving me hope for my garden- I’m trying a winter garden for the first time this year...although with the amount of rain, I should probably just have planted some rice or something! Thanks for your videos- I’m looking forward to the next one already x
Thank you so much, it's really appreciated 😀 Oh there's always hope, although your comment about the rice made me laugh out loud 😂 Scottish weather is really so unpredictable, definitely keeps us on our toes. I was hoping to film in the garden tomorrow, fingers crossed for dry weather and another garden update coming soon. 😀
Thank you so much for watching and commenting Clare. Really glad you enjoyed the video. And YES! I'm currently working on a few gardening videos! I can't wait to share what I've done in the garden to get ready for spring. I'll also be showing you what veg I will be growing in the raised beds and green house this year as soon as I've finished planting up. And for the first time, I'm growing flowers too ❤ Although, I might have picked a few that could be problematic for the area I live in, I can't wait to share the adventure. Hope you are staying safe too 😊
You’ll probably have better luck with bigger pots. Those little pots in the greenhouse are a great size for herbs but for bigger plants like tomatoes you’ll want pots about twice the size. If they don’t have enough root space they won’t grow much I’m loving watching your journey ☺️☺️ Love from the Mediterranean ❤️
Thank you so much! Oh gardening in Scotland is definitely a constant learning experience. I'm growing sweetcorn again this year in the green house, I've tried to grow it outside a few times and it's never been successful. But last year we had a great success with it in the green house, so fingers crossed for more successful sweetcorn in the green house this year.
Moggyboxcraft ah I didn’t grow any this year, because I lost my poly tunnel cover in a wild storm 🌪💨🙄 then I was supposed to have a knee operation so decided not to grow anything........then Covid19 hit us, so no operation 🙈 so then I was late staring all my veggies‼️😂 ( sorry, that was like a life story,) haha. I could have just said .....I haven’t grown any 😂 x
@@lynnrushton7458 Oh Lynn, oh no! How frustrating for you. 2020 really has been a crazy year so far and we're only half way through! I hope you're keeping well? I hope you manage to get another date for your knee op. Our weather can be so trying. The garden seems to have different challenges every year. I lost a load of seedlings too this year. So late May planted more. Fingers crossed everything still has enough time and we get some more summer weather. ❤
Hi there, I’m just starting to get into gardening, I’ve moved to my first house that has a garden! I’m starting off with a wee greenhouse that’s about 6 foot by 4, and a wee raised bed. If I have any success with that this year I’m thinking about getting a poly tunnel, but that’s if I even remember/ can be arsed to deal with the wee bit to start! Can you tell me which leaf blower / sucker that does the mushing up? Thanks, Graham
aw amazing, wishing you a successful year ahead. It's all a learning experience and brings lots of joy. I think my leaf blower is from B&Q, not sure if they still stock the one I have as I've had it a few years now, but well worth getting one that mushes the leaves up, makes composting much easier. 😀
I'm taking notes for next year :) I'm Hungarian so every time you mentioned the black peppers I whipped my head up :D Them composting barrels seem like a great idea! Do they smell much? Have you thought about painting them or do you like the pop of blue around the garden? :)
Aw, love that 😄 I'm growing the black chili's again this year from seeds I saved from last year and they've just started flowering 😁 The barrels work great and they only smell when you take the lid off or roll them around, but when they're just sat there they don't smell an all. Woo, that's an idea, I never thought about painting them... Will have to put that on the ideas list thank you 😘
@@Moggybox Nice! I just learnt that if the barrel is painted black it heats up easier (makes sense), might be fun to paint flowers or mushrooms or animals on that black background :D Looking forward to the chilli update! :) x
I loved your candid and realistic view of gardening in the UK
Thank you 😄 I like to hope for the best and I'm still learning all the time, oh the joy of gardening 😂

Baby sweetcorn grow really well in Fife 😊
I'll have to give baby sweetcorn another time, so far I've only been successful with normal sweetcorn 😀

Love from the Mediterranean ❤️
Also your accent is SO BEAUTIFUL 😻
Thank you ❤
So true, I usually start everything off in small pots, and as they grow and get bigger I pop them into bigger planters.
Thank you ❤😀
Finally, as a bloke, I now understand that those long fingernails aren't just for decoration. Watch out slugs.
Great video BTW.
haha! yes! the nails come in handy! and thank you, glad you enjoyed the video 😀
Love your garden! ❤️👌
I’m in Grampian in an exposed site, so winter is pretty harsh. Got excited when I seen your sweet corn outside......then 🙈😂

Moggyboxcraft lol....good luck! I managed to grow it in my poly tunnel, so hopefully yours will do well in your fab greenhouse x
I hope so! How are yours getting on now? 😀

try saving egg shells, then crush them up and scatter near the base of plants to deter slugs
I did try that in the past but never seemed successful, maybe not enough egg shell? Will have to give it another try 😄 Thank you for the suggestion 😀

What is it you've used to line your strawberry baskets?
Um 😂 I just used old supermarket 10p carrier bags 😂 waste not, want not 😊
