    I love my 2017 Lincoln Continental Reserve which is fully equipped including backseat controls in the fold down armrest, massage seats & many other features.

    The 10 speed is RWD only, the new 9 speed is what will eventually make it's way into the Continental and other FWD vehicles.

    • @MotorPressReviews
      @MotorPressReviews  7 років тому

      +Steve P the F-150 got the 10, and that is 4x4!

      F-Series is RWD based 4WD, it and the Mustang are the only products in the Ford lineup that will get the 10-speed at this point. All FWD based product will eventually get the 9-speed, even if they're AWD.

      +Steve P well, still a 9-speed is much better than a 6-speed.

      Only Chrysler and Acura have nine speeds and the Chrysler is for shyt the transmissions has major reliability and shifting issues. And the Ford/Gm 10 speed is developed for their rear drive high torque longitutdinal drive trains.

    Why do I see 2 different head lights. Come on Lincoln! The flagship ( which I just love ) the head lights with the 5 diamonds lamps should be standard to give it unique distinction.

      +Cullen Crowder indeed, there are two headlight systems, flagship gets a better one but both are excellent.

    The way that you're speaking in this video sounds like someone trying too hard... just some constructive advice.

    Yeah this guy isn't doing his research. The Conti is not a CT6 competitor. It is a direct competitor of the Cadillac XTS, however. Both are smooth riding, large luxury boulevard cruisers. The Conti and XTS price points are exact. You couldn't get more similar in comparison all the way up to the highest trims in the mid $70s with 400hp engines. This is well known but you'll notice low rent auto journalist not doing their homework and stating otherwise. Lincoln doesn't have a CT6 competitor, yet.

      +Yoshiaki K. Funny how Lincoln themselves claim that the Conti is a CT6 competitor, yet I am a low rent auto journalist. For the record, the XTS is now 5 years old and has much less rear legroom. But I guess you knew that too.

      The XTS will be getting a mid-cycle refresh this year. The spied photos are already out. Cadillac should have done so for the 2017 model year, however, as to counter the Continental. Let's look at this objectively, both are the exact same price, both are FWD/AWD based, both have a ~400 HP option. Both will be used for car service, both are flashy boulevard cruisers. You cannot get a closer matchup, period. Go ask someone like Alex Luft of GM Authority who the Conti's main competitor is, he'll tell you. He knows what he's talking about. As to backseat room, the XTS is one of the largest in the class, I'm not talking the CTS here, it's the XTS, which you can't beat when it comes to back seat room. The Conti is lacking in rear headroom. Either way, they're direct competitors and Lincoln pushed the Continental to directly aim at Cadillac's best selling sedan - the XTS. Now when Lincoln comes out with a rear-wheel German copycat/competitor, then that car will be a CT6 competitor.

      The XTS competes more with the MKZ.

      You have no idea what you're talking about. GM's MKZ competitor is the Buick LaCrosse. Same price points, same everything.

    It's a midsized luxury sedan. Not a fullsized. It competes with the E class and A6 and 5 series. Not the S class and 7 series.

      Well, according to Lincoln during their press launch, they are going after the CT6, 7-series, S-Class and Audi A8. Their justification is rear leg-room.

    • @firefox39693
      @firefox39693 7 років тому

      They said that they rear leg room is comparable to that of an S class or A8 but it the car itself competes in the midsize catagory.

    • @MotorPressReviews
      @MotorPressReviews  7 років тому +4

      +Landon Thomas Lincoln calls it a full-size sedan and at 201.4" (5115mm) long, it is not midsized. Thanks.

    Look like a mix of 90's Jaguar and Maserati. Rear looks Korean car.

    There should be an option for a 3-speed transmission. This is a real deal breaker for me. That and I just don't like this car. The door handles are cool but that is about all I like about this car. They can do much better if they tried.
