17:19 Conclusion
A couple points that have been brought up that I wanted to address:
1) "Xen has breathable air because of a secret scientist!" - Not wrong, but we don't know HOW well he's doing. It's possible he's slowly suffocating to death.
2) "What about Barney? He can breathe on Xen just fine!" - Same deal, as he doesn't stay there for long. Plus, Blue Shift and Opposing Force might not even be canon.
3) "But the aliens can breathe both on Xen and on Earth!" and "But we see the Bullsquid drink the healing fluid, so it's fine!" - We don't know how the aliens' biology works. What's fine for them might very well not be fine for us. Flamingos can also drink salt water, after all.
4) "The coolant in Lambda Core may just be water after all" - Also not wrong, in which case you could survive there for a year or so. Lack of ammo and fire is going to be a problem however, same as radiation.
5) "Eating humans will give you diseases" - Only if you don't cook them. Not a scientist though, so don't take it from me.
6) "You don't get enough nutrients from eating just X" - Said that in the video, you'd suffer for sure. But this is about survival, not about living healthy.
7) "Zombies won't infect you if you eat their meat" - Considering a single headcrab can turn the ENTIRE human body into a zombie in under a few hours, I doubt it's safe to eat ANY part of them, even if you don't turn.
And something I forgot to mention myself:
The Hive Hand shoots out bees, which also periodically recharge. So theoretically, we don't even have to resort to cannibalism in Surface Tension, but can just pop a couple of them in our mouth. You can even shoot them into walls, where they'll stay for a bit, which might be safer.
Damn. I'm glad I checked the comments because I was about to write down 1 and 3. Oh, well.
Hivehand bees should be turned into a gestation snack (like chips.)
Blue Shift is canon, there's a direct reference to it in Half-Life: Alyx. The idea that the expansions are non-canon is an issue that the Half-Life community itself has created - Valve commissioned Gearbox to create them and expand upon the Half-Life universe, whether or not they would be relevant in future games. Even then, Gearbox literally consulted Valve about Half-Life 2's plot elements - the nuke from Opposing Force was Marc Laidlaw's idea, for example, and Barney Calhoun and Isaac Kleiner are both major characters in Half-Life 2 that were first introduced in the expansion packs.
I don't know why people keep having this discussion. If Valve says otherwise, they're canon, end of story.
6:04 the room up ahead is a cafeteria if you take the detour at the end of the chapter through some vents you will end up in the other side where food is stored and prepped
@pman56789True
The reason Magnusson was so mad about ruining his casserole is it was the only real food in the lab, and he had to resort to cannibalism and drinking sewer water to make it out of Black Mesa. No wonder he's so cranky!
He might have always been cranky, but I'd sympathize with him if he had to go through that.
So, there is actually a game that explores this. Its called Abiotic Factor. It places itself in a Half-Life 1 style facility where you fight their artistic interpretations of the zombies. Its pretty much 1-1, even down to the voices and artstyle it clearly attributes itself as a faithful HL1 Mockmake.
However the difference is its a pure survival RPG. Its extremely fun and I've played through it several times, theres so much content and so many different ways to play. It basically is saying "How would you survive the resonance cascade as a regular scientist?"
Yeah, a lot of people have been suggesting it, and it made me look at the Steam page. Definitely looks faithful, but I don't know if it's for me.
@GermanPeter I personally would recommend atleast trying it and refunding it if you don't enjoy it. It definitely can drag on a little bit as it's kinda a time sink with multiple days needed to finish it. I find it to be a fun spin on Half Life as there's also quite a lot of puzzles. I can answer questions if needed since I've sunk a lot of hours into it lmao
Nice take on the "Would you survive" trend btw, very good editing.
You've got to play with friends, it's so much more fun!
Depends who’s controlling gordon, if you’re a scientist and a sociopath in an orange suit is swinging a crowbar while hopping down the hallway towards you? Oh brother just sit and pray
Sit and shake your head, German hl style
6:34 You _could_ steal Meals, Ready-to-Eat, First Strike Rations, and/or Unitized Group Rations from the corpses of dead marines or their supply crates if available.
No, I forgot to mention that we're not dealing in hypotheticals. We can only eat and drink what we SEE. So no "Hmm Otis probably has a chocolate bar on his person" or anything. If we can't physically hold it, it doesn't exist.
@@GermanPeter but there ARE rations in crates when you break them, isn't there a sprite for the crate gib?
@@GermanPeter yeah but you can SEE Otis pull a donut out of his ass
@@GermanPeteri assume the same also applies to the additional threats of xen, the us marines, and maaaaaybe hostile BMRF personnel that might show up some time after the chapter in question
@@GermanPeter There are MRE models among the military crate Gibs
Need to clarify - most Nuclear Reactors use common water as a main coolant solution, generally running it through two contours - one - through nuclear fuel - other through cooling vats so contaminated and clean water don't collide. Considering there is no radiation icon when we are swimming through coolant, I assume it's clean water (well, as clean as non-purified river or lake water can be)
It isn’t coolant like really fucking hot?! (If said exposed to cooling machines)
@@MortalChampyou could still grab it in the thermos and then allow it to cool down
Someone call the payday gang to take care of all this murkywater
Guys, the mre go get it
Bars
*AHHHHH! I NEED AN HEV RECHARGE!*
Probably shouting 'Oh my god we are doomed' while walking right into a tripmine and died.
I'm going to point out that in one of the arenas that the Nihilanth teleports you to during his boss battle, there is an average suitless scientist just chilling on a ledge. Not only that, the Xen creatures are able to breathe perfectly fine on Earth; suggesting that the two atmospheres are actually breathable. This doesn't help our chances, of course, but yeah.
Yes! I learned about that AFTER writing, recording and editing the video :P At the same time though, can we be certain that he's doing fine? Like, if your room was filled with deadly gases like CO2, I'm sure you could still survive a while, just not very long.
As for the aliens, they have vastly different biology, so we can't say that what's fine for them must be fine for us. Some plants are toxic to humans but fine for animals.
@@GermanPetergood point
@@GermanPeter But if you stay in that room with the scientist and just wait - nothing will happen, regardless of how long you wait, implying that the air is breathable enough (even if it is not 1:1 oxygen) to survive. The lack of food and water is still lethal though, i am sure.
And in Blue Shift, Barney goes to xen without a suit too, and he is fine (again, if you just sit there and do nothing, you will not suddenly die)
@@thatonemeganium also, xenian life has been surviving on earth for 20 years since their arrival. We still see Headcrabs, Vortigaunts, and Snarks in HL2 or Alyx
16:13 Um, actually in the final chapter there is a scientist in the gargantua room, whos alive WITHOUT a helmet or HEV. Plus Barney did not wear any helmet when he went to Xen (if the expansions are canon). Also in the resonance ccascade scene, we see bullsquids drinking from healing pools. Not sure if humans can also but it is heavily implied.
Also I don't think that the infinitely spawning marines should count in surface tension....
I held off on calling Blue Shift and Opposing Force canon, since Valve has never actually acknowledged them. They could very well be in the same ballpark as something like Plutonia and TnT for Doom.
As for the scientist, I said in another comment that yes, he IS alive, but we don't know how well he's doing. Maybe the air he's breathing is fine... for now. Considering he's sitting on the ground and leaning against a wall, I'd say he's not doing the greatest.
@@GermanPeter I don't understand your logic behind "valve never acknowledged opposing force or blue shift as canon so they don't count" while you strongly believe that gordon freeman wears a helmet despite not being shown with one anywhere, not in the games or any official art afaik
@@GermanPeter VERY TECHNICALLY, half life alyx has a blue shift reference (a floppy disk with games on it, one of which appears only in blue shift) meaning that hl1's dlcs are canon.
@@thatonemeganiumAlso Barney in Half-Life 2 is credited as "Barney Calhoun" and Calhoun is from Blue Shift
@@VinVonVoom wait, is this famous r/ultrakill moderator Vvix0?
If I were in the Black Mesa facility, I would've died to reasons completely disconnected from the resonance cascade.
Cancermaxxing
6:29 The rules are that you start from nothing, if you had no weapons there is no way you could survive for a week since there's enemys that will kill you with their SMG on sight.
I'm pretty sure you find an SMG on a corpse early on.
Black Mesa Inbound is the safest chapter, I would just ask barney to get me a tram on my way home to my apartment, and if the BM sector calls gordon just tell them you resigned from work
I could possibly live until the facility gets nuked because a headcrab would probably get me early on and those keep the host alive.
Man imagine Gordon Freeman just runs into a bunch of Scientists that came from Abiotic Factor. They'd probably find ways to make Black Mesa liveable and surviveable in no time.
I knew you would be propositioning the consumption of people jerky from the thumbnail, but I wasn't expecting you to bring it up as fast as possible
Never let yourself end up in a survive situation with German Peter...
Thats what I was thinking- 0_0
i mean seeing humans in half life as food source is crazy. 😭😂
I feel as if Gordon were able to open the soda machines without breaking the door, those are usually refrigerated and could definitely help with food spoulage
5:27 Id say your ignoring one major factor, The marines, they seem to be carrying an ALICE pack which for their mission likely contains a 24 hour rat-pack each or more if they weren't expecting to be resupplied, not to mention the water they would need for the ration packs and themselves, although that is kinda too easy (Water likely being 3 litres each from three canteens)
If you can't see it, it doesn't exist. They just carry some indistinct backpacks, but what's inside them, we don't know. They could be filled with cinder blocks for all we know.
@ yeah, I saw that reasoning in another MRE comment, that’s fair enough, although I do now know what to do if I do find cinderblocks in there, cannibalism
@@GermanPeter It did just strike me however, in half life decay and its port, the marines are shown carrying their two canteens on their belt, if we go off the fact that you counted the packaged food previously, you could argue that each 1 litre canteen counts, minus 1 litre likely already drunk giving you another litre remaining for you. so in this one VERY specific circumstance, you get some extra clean drinking water
Xen’s atmosphere is breathable because the aliens can survive on earth without a suit so the atmosphere can’t be that different. Also there’s a scientist with no suit in one of the rooms the Nihilanth sends you to. Just need to figure out water and food. Maybe you could get milk from the gonarch or something and eat her baby headcrabs
Amazing video, just several notes to the Xen. A) Xen likely to have breathable atmosphere as aliens don't die in our world and there a suitless alive scientist in the Nihilant level, just hidden on the cliff. B) ight after cascade resonance we may see how bullsquids dring healing water, this mean one of two: bullsquids reselient enoguh to not die from it, or this is water of degree that doesn't kill a bull.
Even keeping that in mind, that'd bump Xen's survival time up to a few days at best.
@@GermanPeter Which is a pretty big jump considering the time we could've survived were only mere minutes.
I personally think that if Xen creatures can survive on earth, there's a possibility humans can survive on Xen too!
Maybe the atmosphere is slightly different there but still similiar.
But then again, maybe Xen creatures have some bizarre adaptable anatomy that allows them to survive on earth so who really know.
Anyways, really cool video, would honestly like to see more like this!
I don't wanna make conclusions about Xen based on how well aliens adapt to it and Earth, since like you said, their anatomy might differ wildly.
i terms of self defense: THERES LITERLY SHOTGUNS AND BOMBS IN EVERY OTHER OFFICE XD
this video is weird, because it assumes the places you can go are limited to the chapters. in surface tension you could in theory leave the area once you get to the topside
Limiting to just staying in chapters makes no logical sense if you think about it
Yeah, but then we could just say "Oh Lambda Core is totally fine because we can just go back to Surface Tension and chill there!"
It's about seeing if the individual chapters are livable.
3:22 crazy line out of context
i loved this dawg
i got nothin else
this was just fun
well done have a good day :D
The half-life zombies arent infectious in that way. A zombie is created by a human getting controlled by a headcrab, one human per crab. As long as the crab is dead there is no risk in eating zombie meat
"No risk"
Say that to the green pustules all over their body lol
@@GermanPeter This is HD pack feature and thus more likely uncannon. I think we have more risk of tasting rotten meat as even trough human is technically alive, there is no guarantee that they doesn't rot.
@@GermanPeter not present in the original pack or on the hl2 and hla zombies, only on hd models
I maybe wouldnt go to zombie meat as a first choice, but i don’t think I’ll get turned if i eat it, i just think I might die in other horrific ways from eating whatever that is. By no risk i did mean no risk of zombification, sorry. Its definitely a risky eat, considering the teeth growing from the chest
Oh right, that's an HD thing. Still, considering the entire human body can get corrupted just by a single headcrab on the noggin, I doubt it's fine to ingest any part of it.
Headcrab might have alien diseases
The engineers tried *everything* to make me *behave,* to slow me down...
Wait, this isn't Aperture Science.
I am not ashamed to admit that i would die as soon as the resonance cascade rolled around.
I think I’d be an Otis if I’m being serious
Just played Black Mesa and I kept thinking "no way gordon survived that"
And he has a HEV suit!
People already mentioned it, I am playing Abiotic Factor with my friends at the moment.
It did not change my sentiment on the possibility of surviving in a secret research facility thats overrun by aliens and militants much.
2:18 gordon's stash lol
If we resort to cannibalism I would shorten the time as this leads to deseas and malnutrition. Also, for surface tension with the infinite spawning soldiers, we would get sick and wouldn't be able to fight for more human flesh
I love that the infinitely respawning Marines are considered a decades-long supply of meat.
"HE'S STILL EATING OUR SOLDIERS!! IT'S BEEN YEARS!!"
Since this is a video all about survival inside of a test facility mid catastrophe, you should try a game called Abiotic Factor if you haven't already. It's pretty much the concept of this video in video game form, cannibalism included.
it sounds like he's been playing abiotic factor, perhaps
Great video as always. I just finished a playthrough of Half Life so this was very enjoyable to watch!
I would love to see more of these from you!
I've watched you for a while and known you for your TF2 stuff. Recently i started playing Half-Life again and i've been seeing you in the comments of most of the videos i watch about it. It's fun to see you're also a fan of the series!
I think that cooking with the rocket test fire in Blast Pit would cause issues, as it’d obliterate anything organic in its blast, but the fumes of whatever would be cooked would most likely cause health issues
Some maps has monstermaker entitys that infinitely respawn aliens most of them in xen and some take up to 3 hours to respawn the aliens (one cut respawner had a 5 hour timer on a single headcrab in the first xen map) so if you can take off your helmet and breath you can live forever
I said no respawns. As for your other comment, the Hive Hand has been addressed in my pinned comment.
@@GermanPeter I didn't see my comments coming up when i send them i thought they are getting deleted by youtube for some reason so my bad on this one
This is an interesting question for portal because idk where ratman got so many cans of beans
fact-checking these scientifically is way WAY out of my league, but I really ant to compliment the way you came up with this idea an structured it so that it is both brutal with the fact that some areas would be uninhabitable/must rely on things as insane as cannibalism but also the fact that there's leniency in things like infinitetly respawning npcs or water sources, It makes me think of how a Half-Life exploration/survival game would play out, and the ways you described a person being able to live could be exploitable areas in game to make use of with clever thinking.
all in all, AMAZING video and much appreciated from you considering you have gone thorough so much, i wish you the best!
0:27 its nice too see someone else with the exact same recommended videos
the govermt after he googled "human nutrient facts"
3:30 Technically you can eat Headcrab Zombies without turning into one since they're mostly just mutated humans with headcrabs controlling them but not only that's basically canibalism but also depending on how mutated a zombie is at the very least you might get even more deseases
I would probably survive for several hours up until the military shows up. Then, I’d probably be killed pretty quickly if I’m trying to escape, otherwise if I just hide somewhere in the facility, I’d either be caught out by random teleporting aliens or I’d survive all the way until the nuke goes off
The fact that gman just nukes the place anyway 😂
Good thing about radioactive sludge is that it contains so many calories that you don't have to eat anything else for the rest of your life.
Technically you’re correct…
I could probably survive the head crabs and a few others and maybe I could take 1 or 2 blasts of the vortigaunts energy blast thing(I don’t know what it’s called) and I will probably die to a bull squid or I just don’t come into work and I miss it all
Knowing my luck, I'd probably get telefragged by something within the first 5 minutes of the resonance cascade.
Blood is considered a food according to us army manuals and requires extra water to digest due to high salt content, among other things.
Yeah but I'm not in the army so I'll be fine
Glad you had to answer this question instead of Radiation Hazard.
The fuck you have against radhaz???
G-Man in your playthrough should be the one preparing for unforeseen consequences.
In blue shift there was a food court.
Yeah, and in Half-Life 2, there's a Ted Cohrt. Your point being?
@@GermanPeteridk maybe you can steal the foods or something
You'd last longer in HL2 if you end up not rebelling in City 17. Them Combine are vicious
" Sir, our two recently missing scouts on the Surface Tension mission have been confirmed dead. "
" send 2 more. "
" Sir, we've been losing the scouts that we send on that route sense the war has begun 8 years ago. we've barely been able to find 2 soldiers able and willing. are you sure we shouldn't advance on that position via another rou- "
" by god, I'm not sending men to die because *we* didn't have any intel on the situation! Now you can send them immediately or go yourself! "
unless gman decides that im the main character of another game im dead, not even a question
I don't think you'd want to be cooking food burning off from a destroyed tank. The stuff it's burning from is probably so carcinogenic it'll turn your digestive track into nothing but tumors if you even look at it funny. But I know, this is fun video game logic. Great vid!
I think the fires are like the water. It's too difficult to say what is and isn't toxic, so unless it burns bright green, it's fine.
@@GermanPeter "If the fire is yellow, it's fine my fellow"
now I need, absolutely need to see one of these for HL2, heck for all of the HL series, opposing force, blue shift, decay, hl2, hl lost coast, the episodes, this has awakend something within me in which I must know how long YOU could survive in City 17.
Now, I wanna find out how much cannibalism do we have to do in the sequel. Also, how edible would combine soldiers be?
11:02 theres a broken ladder on the left side which you can get to ingame by stacking boxes. So you can haul the corpses like that
You are not gonna be able to carry the Ichthyosaurs up there, though. No way in hell.
Perhaps if you were able to prepare the body and cut the meat into smaller chunks I could see it being carryable but I doubt there are any tools fit for the job in that place @@GermanPeter
5:13 Did you ever see 'Dead Heat'? There's a scene where a headless beef carcass comes to life! 🤣
Dude you have found such a goldmine here continue with these vids man in every valve game!
That is the greatest profile picture I've ever seen in my entire life of existence, what an absolute specimen of a creature.
I will drink as much coolant as I want, thank you very much!
Pretty sure the water in the reactor is drinkable since usually, coolant water is like some of if not THE cleanest water on earth. At least in Nuclear Power Plants. Also, the Bull chickens drink the healing liquid, furthermore I think all the aliens that need water drink the healing liquid. AND ALSO in Xen, in the 3rd chamber the Nihilanth teleports you to has a Scientist just chilling out there on a ledge high up near the ceiling. Haha, funny scene in Freeman's mind. And barney and shephard are completely fine in Xen!
Bullsquids also thrive in Radioactive waste. Just because they can drink the healing pools, doesn't mean we could-not without generations of evolution.
I don't think it's safe to assume that if x alien species is able to do this and that on Earth it's safe for us.
Like what if Xen's atmosphere is just very different to ours and that the aliens just have evolved to be very different to our breathing.
The Scientist in one of the Nihilanth's chambers probably is just happenstance.
You doing alright man?
You're sounding a little less peppy than your usual vids. Just want to make sure, since you're always a beacon of positivity, and your good-vibes are contagious!
Oh, I'm actually trying to be less energetic in my videos. It's pretty straining and I despise listening to my old ones because of it.
i would posit that the xen healing fluid is potable, not because you see the bullsquids drinking it but because you get healed by it
I addressed both those point, in the video and the pinned comment.
@
that is fair, yes. i would still take a sip of the space gatorade, though. maybe it tastes good but kills me, like lead or beryllium.
@
that is fair, yes. i would still take a sip of the space gatorade, though. maybe it tastes good but kills me, like lead or beryllium.
Haven't watched the video yet but I'm guessing surface tension will be the best with how big it is, followed by Xen because of the healing pool
I was right about surface tension but completely wrong about Xen, I forgot about the jumps
[insert all the stuff about Xen that everyone else has already said]
I do also think the heal pools would be drinkable, after all if simply touching it heals your injuries then why wouldn't drinking it be beneficial too? Even if that isn't the case, it would still likely prevent you from dying of starvation of dehydration because it could "heal" that.
With all that in mind, Interloper would be easily survivable forever IF you managed to somehow get past the first map. All you'd have to do then would be to sneak past the tentacle without it hearing you and then get to the heal pool.
14 hours, the time it took me to beat Half Life 2.
ehrm actually for Xen, barney survived in xen when he got plonked in there by rosenburg and his ass only had security uniform.
this reminds me of an argument about gordon having a helmet that progressed into “barney has been to xen” then it just ended in “barney was in xen but he had ‘helmet’”
14:09 they're trying to kill you anyway so I say it's self defense
If hate to go hiking with this guy upon seeing what qualifies as “fresh” water
While most of the comments point out about the scientist on xen, people forget valve showed freeman without a helmet at the end of half life alyx.
He's not in Xen in that scene, though.
@@GermanPeter Ok he may not be in xen but that still proves gordon doesn't wear helmet and he had the same model at the wip version of the hla ending where we could directly see him.
Becareful when you want to live in hl1 mods ( even though they are mot cannon ) especially half life brutal, if you are a scientist in brutal mod, you'll get obligerated by gordon freeman who has anger issues.
ABIOTIC FACTOR MOMENT!!! 👏👏🗣🗣🗣 🔥🔥 nah but fr this is honestly such an interesting question and it's clear you're not the only one thinking this specifically about half-life from that game's existence alone which i think is neat. of course all of this is assuming you don't get picked off by the hecu or xen forces (as someone not wearing an hev suit) though ahaha
banger vid as always though hell yeah. idc if it kills me to death though i'm sipping that xen baja blast it looks tasty as hell
>"No respawns counted"
>Counts the respawning marines
The "no respawns" refers to things not coming back once they're gone. The marines aren't respawning, the osprey is spawning new ones.
@@GermanPeter Still, if we're taking things at least semi-realistically (as much as you can, given it's Half-Life), the Osprey isn't going to be holding an infinite number of marines; maybe 6-8, at the very most.
Nope! We're not going by realism here. This is a video game world, operating on video game logic. You, the player, are a human, and are therefore bound by the laws of physics and biology, but the NPCs aren't.
@@GermanPeter Ah, fair enough. Regardless, really enjoyed the video. Keep em coming :)
Black Mesa gets nuked at the end of Opposing Force so if we assume it's canon then we'll survive like 24 hours if we actually stay there
Didn't watch the intro 😂😂😂
You can easily live for years, nay, *decades* in Chapter 2: Black Mesa Inbound.
That's chapter 1, and I doubt that's true. You can't really leave the tram in a lot of sections, and if you hop out in the ones where you can, you don't have anywhere to go. Oh, and no water of course.
In "Anomalous Materials", the only thing that's better is that there's more scientists running around, but other food is really scarce, and you don't have any water either.
So in this scenario are we like a scientist or is this like Wily Wonka where we just got invited in
If Xen creatures can breathe on earth just fine, then I assume Xen has breathable for humans air too
It’s great to see a upload from you
This is a pretty unique video for the channel. I think it would be neat if you did the same for other games like portal or doom ect
usual nuclear reactors, assuming that back mesa uses a, albeit weird but normal reactor to produce power will be cooled by distilled water, so whilst it IS water in those coolant tanks, that water has very little salts, and ergo is not all that drinkable. even without it being dirty, mind
It depends on what type of player is playing as Freeman
10:12 The water looks like it is contaminated with oil and those barrels and rust look like they probably contaminated it
The funny thing is that even if Black Mesa gets nuked, not all of it does. The earlier chapters would be in a different section of the complex as the nukes that go off do.
Nukes are MASSIVE, though.
@GermanPeter oh no…
I love how the answer is literally to stop and just go touch grass
Considering the Xen life are predominantly wild, defensive creatures- simply avoiding proximity to the security staff at Black Mesa and the automated defence systems until you can loot a security guard's corpse for his wearable equipment (a presumably disposable battery-powered UHC radio, spotlight security torch, 9mm Glock semi-automatic handgun and SPAS-12 pump-action shotgun and armoured helmet and vest PPE would give you an edge to start with
Given Black Mesa is filled with hazardous areas- it would be likely that respirators and emergency supplies or areas with maintenance, service or engineering tech such as level C or potentially level B PPE would be in designated locations- the more hazardous issue would be donning the protective gear safely without being ambushed
Assuming you can get topside ASAP before the military arrive- scaling the buildings to get past enough of the road blocking security checkpoints would be possible and picking up first aid kits on the way would definitely help- beyond that- following Barney's escape method and taking an abandoned idle or parked car with keys would mean you can get to the nearest city and then bail as far east as you can go
If the military arrive during or before you reach the surface you are kind of just fucked- even if you made it out- you could be tracked and apprehended later
I think this is the plot of Abiotic Factor
I assume the Combine medkits contain nutrition solutions. Also, you CAN eat in Hl2: Dark Interval
Damn its been a bit since I saw a vid of yours. Hope all is well good vid btw
Maybe the Coolant Tanks (before Xen) are water. Just because it says its Coolant doesn't mean it is not water. Water can be used for cooling as well.
Dude, i really wanna know how the black mesa remaster those folks made would fair? That was way better with lots more water and actual environments that don’t look like the minecraft end!
I study xen creatures so, if you do eat a houndeye or bullsquid just make sure to remove the throat of the bullsquid because thats were the acid is stored. And remove the organs connecting to the blue stripes one the hooundeye, that's were the shock comes from.

Isn't water a common coolant in some types of heavy machinery, like nuclear power plants?
I was just thinking about this the other day why are you reading my thoughts, GET OUG
