Bracing is so underrated! A chassis that flexes adds unpredictable and non-deliberate suspension to the car. A stiff chassis allows the suspension to do its job. I added 3 ultraracing braces on my M135i and its made a huge difference to steering and handling.
Even if that was a heavy component, the weight is being placed so low that it would lower the center of gravity. Seems like a great component unless it's going on a car strictly used for drag racing, and those tend to have full roll cages anyway. Cool video!
