Dock Edge 8' Mooring Whips 1st Use Mississippi River 4th of July

I purchased the model 3200 Mooring Whip set for my 2022 Alumacraft Trophy 175. Overall I am very pleased with the use of it. We got this installed just in time for the 4th of July weekend boat traffic.

I have watched numerous videos on dock mate whips. I noticed you had your X-shaped "spring lines" only. I saw that you did not have a bow or stern line in addition to spring lines. Did you add these two lines or did you just adjust the tension of existing lines to solve your problem?

Tension of the X lines works well! Don't need bow or stern lines

@@W0GENif you would have had bow/stern lines then you wouldn’t have to worry about your bow or stern coming in like it did lol.
